From the very beginning, communication and professionalism were lacking. When we first visited the venue to plan our décor layout, the manager, Kathy, was short, dismissive, and made us feel like we were an inconvenience rather than welcomed clients. We tried to brush it off, hoping it was just a one-time interaction, but that tone carried throughout the entire experience. On the day of our wedding, we were contractually given 2.5 hours in the morning to decorate. Instead of being supported, we were rushed, micromanaged, and repeatedly scolded. Every small action—propping open a door to bring in supplies, attempting to move tables, or setting up décor—was met with resistance, criticism, or outright refusal. At one point, the manager even slammed a door shut that we had opened for convenience. Not only was this stressful for us, but every person helping with setup felt uncomfortable and unwelcome. This is the last thing any couple should feel on their wedding day. There was also a major miscommunication regarding rentals. Our caterer informed us that all items, including chairs, would be delivered on Sunday. However, the chairs were actually dropped off on Friday. The venue staff repeatedly brought it up throughout the event to multiple people, despite our sincere apologies and explanation that we had not been informed. This added unnecessary stress and felt unprofessional. The issues continued throughout the event. The bridal suite was cluttered with racks and a heigh chair, leaving barely any room to move. When we tried to make simple adjustments by moving a rack out of the room to create space, we were reprimanded like children. At one point, the manager even got in the face of someone assisting us, pointing her finger and yelling—completely unprofessional and unacceptable behavior. At the end of the night, we were allotted until 10:00 PM for cleanup per our contract. However, at 9:45 PM, while we were still saying our goodbyes and finishing up, the bartender began yelling at us and our guests to leave so they could close. This was not only rude but directly contradicted the agreed-upon timeline. Additionally, our catering team was sent home early without our approval. We were told they were “allowed” to leave at 8:30 PM, despite our contract stating service until 9:00 PM. This decision was made by the venue staff without consulting us, which impacted our event and guest experience. We also had an open bar, yet soda was refused to underage guests, which again did not align with our expectations or what we had arranged. Throughout the entire day, we endured eye rolls, glares, and dismissive comments from staff. While we did our best not to let it ruin our wedding—and we still found ways to enjoy our day—the added stress and lack of professionalism were undeniable. If you are looking for a venue that makes you feel welcomed, supported, and celebrated on your wedding day, this is not the place. Based on our experience, they do not honor their contract terms and create unnecessary stress during what should be a joyful event.
