Heronswood Garden is a magnificent venue for any event, especially a wedding! Shelby and her events team are fantastic; she communicated expertly leading up to the day, and our wed...
ding day itself felt effortless. I would absolutely recommend having Shelby as your day of coordinator- no one understands the venue better and she so easily picked up where my DIY planning had dropped off and finished it better than I could have planned myself. She guided our wedding processional completely blind (we didn't have a rehearsal) and everything went like we had run it several times. I couldn't have dreamed for better, I will have only happy memories or our special day at Heronswood. If your dream is to have a magical garden party wedding, this is your place. 100/10.
Could not be bothered to show up for a scheduled site tour, obviously can not be trusted with our wedding day. We drove 45 minutes on Saturday for a tour we scheduled in advance to...
a locked gate. We called both phone numbers provided to us (360-297-9620 and 360-297-6137). Went to voicemail on both, and the voicemail states they are open until 4:30pm on Saturdays. It was 1pm. So not only did they not show up for the tour, but they weren't in office to answer my call while we're sitting at the gate for our tour. So incredibly unprofessional. An hour+ later, I received a text message apology from them stating their phone updated earlier in the week and they lost all of their calendar appointments. It's not hard to back up your calendar appointments and we had been corresponding via WeddingWire which also copies to your email address. So if they knew they lost their appointments, they should have been looking in either WeddingWire or their email to make sure they retrieved them all. No longer an option for our venue.
The gardens are beautiful! It was the perfect place for us to get married. They have plenty of space for a large wedding, a fantastic house to get ready in, and really friendly sta...
ff working the event. The venue also took care of tables, chairs, linens, dishes, and dance floor making it really easy for setup and cleanup. We had some difficulty coordinating via email in the beginning and a couple catering mishaps but all turned out well in the end. Heronswood upgraded our room and "paid" for it for the mishaps but then we got charged for it, we are still waiting for reimbursement for that mistake.
