The Heyde Center for Arts is a gorgeous, versatile, historic building that is perfect for any occasion from large business conferences and workshops to small meetings, company parties and weddings. We have a large auditorium with the advantage of flexible seating. It can seat approximately 250 people set up banquet style and 400 people set up theater style. If you wish to hold both your ceremony and your reception at the Heyde Center for the Arts, we will take care of changing over the theater style set up to the banquet set up for you while you relax with family and friends. We also have a separate room for a buffet line and a full bar that can be staffed at an additional fee.

Do not have your wedding reception here. Communication was horrible with staff. They were rude day of event and refused to accommodate requests in any way. There was so much confusion when planning the event because I was in contact with 3 different people. Save yourself the unprofessionalism and unpleasant experience. Do not recommend. Extremely disappointed.
I loved having my wedding here. It was elegant and beautiful. The space is so lovely that any decorations added would just seem out of place. The staff was friendly and answered every panicked phone call we made. They were upfront about the costs, and there no hidden fees. They also supplied bartenders for us (for a fee) and they were just as friendly as the staff at the Heyde Center.
It is set up very well for a wedding venue. There's changing rooms for the ladies and the gentlemen. The bathrooms for guests are large and clean. The area set up for the buffet was perfect because guests walk in one door and out the other so there was no congestion. We got married and ate dinner on the stage in the auditorium area...I hate calling it that. It's more like a ballroom. Our guests loved that they could easily see the ceremony and see the wedding party during the dinner. We had the ceremony and then guided our guests into the "changeover" room for a social hour where there were tall and short tables set up. I loved it here. I would highly recommend it for a couple who is mostly hands on, but needs a little guidance here and there. There are some restrictions, like you had to get alcohol from the Heyde Center, but I didn't feel like they were unreasonable. And you can't hang or tack anything onto the walls, but seriously, why would you want to? It's gorgeous the way it is.
The Heyde Center is gorgeous! It has a stage which is great for the ceremony and head table. Also has a nice art gallery downstairs which we used for a Hospitality/Cocktail hour. Loved the building, but hated the customer service. We were treated very poorly by the lady (or should I say ladies) that were running it. We spoke with 3 different people about our wedding so needless to say things went wrong because they did not communicate as they should have. Then when asked why certain things went the way they did, they tried to push it back on us! Not okay. We only knew the things went wrong because we were the ones paying for it but our guests thought everything was perfect. I just did not like how when I said my name was spelled incorrectly I received the response of "Well, I didn't make the sign." Not what I wanted to hear. At the end of the evening, we still had over an hour before we had to be out, she was following us around with the bill. Very rude. And do you see a spot for a wallet in my dress?! Again, our wedding was amazing and looked great and perfect but their customer service was not great. I had to get really upset with them to get them to make any changes. If you do fall in love with the building like we did, just don't give in to them. Make sure you have the wedding you want!!
