The lead server for our event, Bri, was the absolute best! She called the week of the wedding and went over everything with me to make sure she had the details. I was able to send her photos & info on decoration set up, table chart etc. and she made sure everything was executed perfectly the day of. I couldn’t have been happier. The food was also obviously outstanding - guests are still texting me about the delicious food and a few have asked where the restaurant is so they can go again! Steve worked with us on our dietary needs - so many gluten free options - which was very important to me since me and my immediate family have celiac disease. From start to finish, we could not have been happier with the service provided by Hickory! Thank you Steve, Bri and staff!

he food just as delicious as the restaurant, but Steve was incredibly kind, supportive and responsive throughout the entire process. His catering manager and crew the day-of were beyond top-tier in terms of customer service! They ensured the groom and I got appetizers, drinks and a plate of dinner delivered straight to us. They also were kind and fun with all of our guests. The bartender was fabulous and made perfect drinks all night long! All of our guests have commented on how it was the best wedding food and drinks they ever had, and some even visited the restaurant the following day on their way home! The biggest hits were the smoked lamb chops, brisket and our signature cocktail - an apple cider mule. FYI - we got married at Mount Gulian Historic Site and Steve's crew made all of the difference in terms of set up and clean up. Beyond thankful to you all!

r DIY, we had to bring in and set up all of our own tables, chairs, bar, etc., and we had assigned jobs to our family and friends only to get there on our wedding day and see everything set up perfectly! They broke down our rentals at the end of the wedding within minutes. Our family felt so grateful to them for taking care of so much set up and breakdown. All of the staff was also incredibly helpful with day of questions such as food allergy-related things and they made sure that I was eating, as the bride! And the food is amazing. Everyone was happy. We needed vendors that would make our planning and our day easy and Steve and the crew definitely did!

e the day special, like bringing me and my wife our own personal tray of food right after we did photos to be sure we were taken care of. Guests loved them, they helped set up and break down, and in the morning all their trash and stuff was nicely packed up and gone (we had a backyard wedding). Highly, highly recommend these guys - just tell them what you want and you'll get it!

food was from the brisket, salmon, mac n cheese to the ice cream bar. Cannot recommend enough for the quality of the food and the professionalism of the staff!

e staff was professional - I couldn't think of something negative to say if I tried. But above all - the food was SO good. My guests are still talking about it - especially the brisket!!!! I would recommend them to everyone and anyone.

our menu options and Steve and his team did the rest. The food was fantastic. I was concerned about only having greasy/fried/heavy food to offer guests. That wasn't the case at all. Steve provides a great variety of options and all were tasty. We had ribs, brisket and mac n' cheese (which is amazing btw), but we also had grilled salmon, smoked turkey and grilled seasonal veggies. Everyone was happy. About a month before my wedding, we discovered our wedding caterer didn't have the proper liquor licensing (caterer is from CT and venue is in NY.) In a desperate freak-out moment, I called Steve and in a matter of a few minutes the whole thing was resolved. Steve reserved 3 bar tenders for us for Saturday night--the same three servers that worked at our rehearsal the night before. They were pros. We had a few custom cocktails we wanted served--no problem. Basically, these guys are super reliable. Steve knows practically every venue in the area and they've done it a million times before. All of that, and their food is mighty tasty :)

mac & cheese, and green beans served family style. We (including all of the guests) loved every bit of it. I would suggest Hickory BBQ to anyone who wants a delicious and cozy meal for their wedding (or family party or just to go to the restaurant in Kingston)!
