WONDERFUL to work with- we loved how inclusive the venue is (they provide chairs, tables, two people to work the event, and a day-of coordinator, all of which were such a relief to have); Amber is lovely- she was very communicative and professional. It is also so beautiful!! We were married at the Hideout in February 2024; the river and limestone bluffs were the perfect backdrop for our ceremony, and the heated reception pavilion was exactly what we needed. We and several family members stayed in the on-site cabins, which are very comfortable and full of character. Overall, we had an absolutely amazing experience, and were so sad for our weekend to end!

I'll start off by saying there is no way I could write a good enough review to accurately explain how much I loved my wedding at Hideout!!! But here is my best shot...
If you are looking for a getaway weekend wedding venue, Hideout is the PERFECT place!! We wanted a venue where all of our friends and family could comfortably stay on site and spend the weekend together and Hideout gave us exactly what we were looking for. It's incredibly affordable since it includes accommodations, chairs, tables, rehearsal/ceremony/reception site all in one, helpful staff, catering tables, day-of coordinator, kitchen for caterers -- and on and on and on. One of the best parts is that you don't have to use any particular vendors and you can bring in any food/alcohol you want - that alone is a huge budget savor. It's such a beautiful setting for a wedding and really allows you to make the most of the weekend with friends and family. Everyone was comfortable and happy and had a great time. I also can't say enough about the staff - they made sure everything went off without a hitch and that all of the small details were taken care of. I honestly didn't have to worry about anything as soon as we got to the venue on Friday morning. It was certainly the best weekend of our lives and we can't wait to spend our anniversaries there!!

Words cannot describe this venue, it is absolutely perfect. The staff all the way from booking to clean up were irreplaceable and our wedding weekend happened with no problems. The site is gorgeous right on the river and I love the cabins. It was so nice to be able to do everything on site and not have to worry about driving everywhere. I truly can say this venue ended up being magical. Thank you to everyone at Hideout for their help to make our wedding so perfect.

As the bride I was prepared to have something go wrong the weekend of our wedding. You know that no one will care as much as you about the "little things" so you stress out and try to do it all. The Hideout literally met and exceeded all my expectations! I had my dream wedding because the people that were there love their job and are AMAZING at it! Everyone was soooo helpful and went out of their way to make sure my groom and I had a stress free weekend. I really cant recommend a better place to have your ceremony and reception! It is all there, lodging, beautiful scenery and a helpful crew! Thank you guys ! T&L

If you are looking for a beautiful and unique venue to have your wedding, you cannot go wrong with the Hideout on the Horseshoe! The staff will accommodate you with just about any idea or vision you have for your special day! I highly recommend using the local vendors in the New Braunfels area and the staff at the Hideout will guide you through the process to ensure you do not forget any special detail. Amber and Patrick will ensure that your special day is stress free and beautiful! If you enjoy a leisurely swim in the Guadalupe river, dancing under the stars and a beautiful scenery that your guests will remember forever, then you will be very happy with the Hideout! Also, the cabins are very comfortable and the best part is that all of your guests are able to stay at the venue the entire weekend!! We had our wedding at high noon so we were able to spend the entire day with our family and friends. It was perfect! Thank you to the Hideout staff, you are all amazing and now our friends for life!

Our vision for our wedding was a weekend event where friends and family could kickback, relax, and enjoy themselves. When we found the Hideout, we knew that this was the place. Eighty of our closest friends and family stayed Thur-Sat night. It was like our own little complex along the banks of the Guadalupe.
The location and setting is beautiful. Its rustic, but with all the amenities you need. We tubed, bbq'd played lawn games, and relaxed in the river!
The staff is fabulous. The front office handled all the assignments and guest payments for the cabins. The property staff handled everything the weekend of- from golf carting guests around the property, arranging our tubing trip and setting up day of tables, chairs etc. A professional coordinator is included in the package and she and her team were a god-send!
We did our rehearsal, ceremony, and reception at the property. The pavilion was great for the dance party and most of our guests dined under the stars, with beautiful hill country view. The Hideout is very flexible- there are no vendor requirements, noise ordinances and it is BYOB. Our reception carried into the night, well past midnight.
I would definitely recommend this to any couple looking for a relaxed, wedding weekend experience. It was so much more than a single day event! We LOVE the Hideout!

We absolutely loved the Hideout for our wedding! We rented it out for the weekend so most of our guests could stay there. We had the rehearsal dinner, ceremony, and reception all there, and then after-partied with our friends since everyone was staying there anyway. The Hideout staff did an incredible job. They were super friendly and helped us out with anything we needed throughout the weekend. We got SO many compliments from our wedding guests about the venue. Amazing view, friendly staff, and we saved a lot of money on wedding decor since everything was already so beautiful!

My husband and I were married at the hideout on May 5, 2012. I cannot say how amazing the overall event was. We had our rehearsal dinner and wedding there. Amber was with me the entire journey of planning the wedding and made it a dream to do so living from NYC. No request, no favor was too large. I am a bit of a type A and a control freak and requested photos of just about everything. Amber and Patrick never batted an eyelash and we so quick to respond to every inquiry. When the time came, everything was perfect and our wedding was, as many of our guests said, the most memorable wedding they had ever been too. The grounds are meticulously kept, the details so well thought through. Loved having my friends and family with us the whole weekend staying at the cabins. Nothing, and I mean nothing fell through the proverbial cracks. We will treasure the time we had there and we, and many of our friends and family, are planning to go back every year. You will not be disappointed at the Hideout. Feel free to browse our photo album. The pictures speak for themselves.

The cabins are wonderful! Better than my home! We floated the day before the wedding. We were picked up at the property dropped off up the river. Floated the HorseShoe got at the property! No wait for pick up! The area by the river is nice and clean with stairs going up to the cabins. Tiki torches are lit up at night. The place is still pretty new so everything is quite new. The views are fantastic. The pavilion comes with restrooms white lights mesh multiple plugs for DJ or band and dark wood tables. The pavilion is on a cliff so there is always a nice breeze. You provide your own alcohol so we saved a lot by not going through the venue. (There is a place that provides kegs less than a mile away). They had a caterer they recommended but anyone was allowed.;Any caterer may be allowed but if you don't use their recommendation you pay an extra $2 a plate. The chairs in the pavilion are not nice we had to rent. If you want to get married on the river it is a long walk down for elderly people. There is a ramp on the side I would recommend hiring a staff member to drive them down in a golf cart. The manager was fantastic with me but the first person I worked with was a flake and gave my wedding weekend away to another couple. Book well in advance this place is getting very popular.
