owed by the behavior of the DJ, Dawson. During a recent wedding, he was rude and unnecessarily aggressive with the bridal party. Just before our reception entrance, as we were quietly chatting among ourselves, he loudly and firmly yelled at us to “shut up”—completely uncalled for and incredibly unprofessional. He followed that by declaring, “I am in charge here,” and continued to raise his voice, creating an uncomfortable and tense moment for everyone involved. One of the bridesmaids, a younger girl, was clearly intimidated by his outburst. When he asked her what was wrong, she calmly told him, “Your yelling scared me.” Instead of apologizing or showing any concern, he brushed her off and coldly responded, “You guys need to listen to me.” I was shocked! I understand needing to hone in the bridal party for an announcement, but I can’t believe the yelling and rude behavior. This is actually the second wedding I’ve attended where Dawson was the DJ, and both times he acted with the same arrogance and lack of respect toward guests. It’s disappointing, especially because the music and setup were otherwise great. With a more respectful and professional approach, the experience could have been exceptional. I have never written a negative review for a vendor, but I simply cannot get over his demeanor. Unfortunately, Dawson’s attitude makes it difficult to fully recommend High Class DJs.

. the other DJs we considered.  We worked with Chris on the planning side and he was prompt, made helpful suggestions, and did a good job answering our questions.  During the wedding, Chris brought great energy, was kind to guests, and kept the night moving along at a good pace.   As DJ, Dawson more than lived up to his large Instagram following and had the dance floor packed the whole night - even the waiters at our venue were dancing!  Dawson is clearly a very talented DJ and we were very glad that we decided to choose him for our wedding.  The microphones that Dawson set up on the groom and officiant were also high quality and worked very well so that no guests had any issues hearing the ceremony. An example of how High Class DJs went above and beyond was that despite us having ceremony musicians during our ceremony, they still asked us for the songs the live musicians would be playing so that we would have a backup ready in case the musicians didn't show up or had any issues.  We didn't think of this ourselves so despite everything going to plan, it was great to have Chris and Dawson thinking ahead and going the extra mile to plan for any unforeseen issues. No complaints and only good things to say about Chris and Dawson.  5/5!

They not only cater the music to your likes and dislikes, but get to know you so that you really do feel like the most important person in the room on your wedding day. They come to your wedding dressed as nice, if not nicer, than some of your guests - always looking professional and presentable. They're never "missing" from the dance floor, and they are able to adjust anything to make your day exactly what you wished for. They get your wedding party HYPED on their entrances for those perfect photos and they keep the dance floor full until the end of the night. I loved how every song was played for the perfect amount of time so we had time to enjoy it, but then it transitioned nicely to the next song. They were so worth it!!

ar the best wedding DJ I have ever seen. The professionalism, the talent, the production quality, the swagger: A+. I was most impressed by their ability to facilitate the “run of show” for a 200+ guest wedding. Chris as the MC did an excellent job of keeping everything on schedule, keeping the energy up, and bringing everyone to the dance floor! I was also wowed by Dawson’s skills on the DJ table. He had a great selection of music that included the standard “crowd pleasers” while also mixing in new music to keep everyone entertained. His mixing ability was incredible. Too many weddings I’ve seen a DJ press play on an ipod and then sit back and relax. Dawson kept it fresh the entire night and had a sweet turntable setup that really elevated the space. Chris and Dawson exceeded every expectation of mine. This father-son duo is a must-book for your event! Worth every penny.

He was a great MC- impactful but not trying to be the star of the show. The music mix was great- modern music, 90s, older- something for everyone and he included some custom requests we had as well. And Dawson was great to work with and communicate with to ensure our wedding was amazing.

I was able to text them at anytime for help and they would respond right away! 45 minutes before the ceremony Chris came down to talk to the bridal party about little reminders which calmed some of our nerves before we walked down the aisle! At the reception…. TALK ABOUT A PARTY! Chris & Dawson kept the party alive all night! My biggest priority for the reception was to make sure people didn’t leave the dance floor and that wasn’t an issue at all!! We had to kick people off the dance floor before our first dance because they were already having so much fun! The amount of compliments we have received from all different ages about Chris and Dawson is simply incredible! You won’t be disappointed to have High Class DJ’s apart of your big day! So reliable, talented, unique & fun! They are the BEST of the BEST!
