he day-of with everything I wanted and how the day was going to go. When the day came, Sarah kept me calm when hair and makeup was running an hour behind, my mom was having a necklace crisis, and everyone was needing me for something. She even helped bustle my dress at the reception :) Sarah and Matt kept the day flowing smoothly and got all of the amazing pictures we wanted. They kept us on schedule and made photo-taking so much fun! When it came time for the reception, Matt showed us all how to do the wobble!! They are an incredible team. They captured all of the sweet and fun moments we had throughout our whole day. We cannot speak any higher of them. Sarah is an absolute MASTER of her profession. We could not be happier with our photographers and the beautiful pictures we have to reflect our fairytale wedding. If you're trying to find the perfect photographer for your perfect day, High Contrast is the only choice. Sarah: we cannot thank you enough and we can't express that enough!!! She was direct with us and our families, which we really appreciated because it helped everything run smoothly. Our photos turned out awesome! We love them and are so happy with them. G. At the time I didn't know what I wanted-- except that I definitely wanted awesome photos. Every bride has her "one thing" and for me that was photography. We made an appointment and met with Sarah at a restaurant and it kind of felt like a first date. A good first date, the kind where you click. My husband and I are super nerds and kind of antisocial so we were nervous. We probably said some really weird stuff, but Sarah rolled with it. At some point in the conversation Dr. Who was mentioned and we fell pretty hard after that. When it came time to talk business Sarah was no-nonsense. She explained everything from what to expect to what she needed to know from us, to cost breakdowns with different options. She made everything easy to understand for those of us who have never had to plan a wedding before, and she made me feel like I could trust her. She wasn't sugarcoating anything or trying to sneak in hidden fees in the contract. Here's the price, here's what you get. Boom. Before we knew it, we were trudging around in the snow with Sarah a few months later getting our adorable wintery engagement photos and I left that shoot feeling like my "one thing" was taken care of. Brides-to-be can relate to how important that feeling is! Even if everything else I planned burned down, I knew we would have beautiful pictures of us standing in front of the flames. WELL spoiler-alert, it didn't burn down! Our Harry Potter/Dr. Who themed wedding went off without a hitch and MERLIN'S BEARD are the pictures beautiful! Sarah and Kate were THE BEST PICK for us because they understood the nerdery in the details and they documented things that our guests might not even have noticed! AND they wore the "Daily Prophet" badges I made them with the true enthusiasm of fangirls! By the way, they take beautiful pictures of "normal" weddings too! HCP was true to their word, professional, personable, and honestly one of the only vendors I worked with that didn't make me want to tear my hair out. They were the easiest choice that I made and one of the best ones. I just received my album (after huge delays caused by MY revisions) and it is unreasonably gorgeous. My "one thing" turned out to be everything I could have hoped for! Thank you HCP!!

edding. In an obviously stressful situation, Sarah was not only professional, but extremely understanding, helpful, caring, and positive. Re-planning a wedding isn't exactly ideal, but she was completely on board right away, sending me suggestions, locations, and personal recommendations to ensure we would turn our experience around into a great one. We had to pick a new date (making sure all of our vendors were available) and Sarah didn't blink an eye - even though that clearly meant she had been turning down potential weddings on our original date, and ended up being free after all! Anyway, all of that is just added bonuses of working with Sarah! I doubt most people will deal with the same issues we did, and I definitely didn't start looking for a photographer with the mind set of "I wonder how they handle chaos and disaster!" ... But it's great to have someone who can work through that stress with you and take a personal interest, past just saying "Let me know when you rebook so I can come take pictures." In regards to her ACTUAL JOB!!- Sarah and Matt were the best. Sarah is SO organized, gets in the zone, and gets everything done. My husband and groomsmen fell in love with Matt- no joke, I think they all have crushes on him :) And I don't blame them! They were both so fun, lighthearted, and pleasant to be around and work with- while staying so professional and great at their jobs. I received a "sample" of EIGHTY photos within the first week and every photo within about 4 weeks. (Granted, rescheduling for February meant I did get married in a non-wedding season, so I know it was a little easier for her timing wise for editing and such!) EVERYONE has commented on how great the photographers were, how professional, efficient, etc., and I kept seeing them pop up to capture the perfect candid moments that I was noticing during the day. Overall, through all of our planning craziness, I have to say that Sarah was such a positive aspect of the whole thing, down to the last 30 minutes where we convinced her and Matt to stay and get on the dance floor. (We had booked them to be leaving right before the last 30 minutes). Our photos are perfect, the day was amazing, and High Contrast Photography would be the best decision you could make in wedding planning. :)

l meeting and gave us lots of information of things we needed to know leading up to the actual wedding day. It was easy to communicate with Sarah and she always responded very quickly to all of my questions and last minute details. On the day of the wedding, Sarah and her assistant took all of the pre-wedding pictures of both myself and my groom. The photographers split their time between the two rooms and captured beautiful pictures without being intrusive. Sarah gave us great directions when taking our formal pictures and worked hard to get those pictures completed as quickly as possible while shooting amazing photos. The night of our wedding she even posted a few of our pictures on Facebook. It was wonderful to instantly see a few of the shots that she was able to capture. Within a few days, she posted 40 pictures on Facebook! It was so exciting for our friends and family to see a glimpse of what our wedding pictures looked like. Sarah had finished editing our entire gallery of wedding pictures in about one month. She had taken over 600 photographs! It was such a wonderful experience to go back and relive our wedding day through our photographs. My husband and I were amazed at how beautiful our photographs had turned out. Sarah is truly an amazing photographer with a great eye! As part of our contract, we also receives a disc of all of our photographs. Sarah told me that she would burn the photographs onto a disc and get them out in the mail within the week. I was blown away with the package that arrived at my door. Sarah had created the cutest little portfolio case. She created a beautiful cover with a wraparound photograph from our wedding day as the cover. Our names and wedding date were also printed on the front cover. Inside was another beautiful picture from our wedding day and the disc even had a wedding picture. When Sarah said that we would be receiving a disc, I never imagined it would be packaged in this way!!! My husband and I are blown away with Sarah’s quality of work and customer service. We can’t wait to see what she has in store for our wedding album.

Sarah was wonderful to work with, she responded to emails in a timely fashion (even if I always did not), she accommodated last minute changes to our timeline without any issues and her and Matt were just a pleasure to have at our wedding. Sarah ended up helping me get dressed due to running out of time during our reception set up, so I was unable to get all of the pictures that I wanted of me getting dressed with my mom and my bridal party. Sarah managed to still incorporate my mom into the photos even though she wasn't dressed and using her at the end to make it look like she did all of the work. I am grateful to Sarah for this help! Sarah knew how important it was for my wife and I to have a preview before our ceremony, she took charge and got us both ready and we had our quick preview and the photos that she captured of our reactions are unbelievable, I cry every time I look at them. Going through our photos is like reliving that day all over again, including all of the laughs and tears. Sarah and Matt, April and I can not thank you two enough for all of your help and hard work on our wedding day. You two were amazing and we loved working with you and loved getting those perfect shots.

Sarah's prices were exceedingly better than all the other photographers in the area, but more importantly, her quality far exceeded them as well. My husband and I just got married in April 2015 and Sarah plus her assistants, Matt and Kate, could not have pleased us more. They were hilarious and so easy to work with, but still focused on capturing our special day. Our bridal party and even guests mentioned how impressed they were with their quality. Sarah, Matt, and Kate managed to capture everything and yet still stay unobtrusive. They managed to capture the very essence of our day in their pictures. Sarah was also extremely prompt in getting our photos published and our album printed even during her busiest time of year. The laughter & love of all our friends and family will be forever locked in those photographs for my husband and I to cherish in the years to come. I would 100% recommend High Contrast Photography to anyone getting married in the area.

On the wedding day, Sarah and Kate were prompt, friendly, organized, unobtrusive, and cheerfully took every photo we wanted- both planned and unplanned. Sarah did a great job of making ourselves and our bridal party comfortable, giving exactly as much direction as we needed but no more. She also played double-duty as a dress train and veil position-er: not an easy job in the wind we had. We knew we were in good hands all day, and we are delighted with the photos we have received so far. They are absolutely gorgeous, and really reflect the beauty of our outdoor location and the love everyone felt that day. High Contrast Photography work is better than the portfolios of some photographers we looked at who charged three times the price! I am recommending Sarah and her team to everyone I know who is getting married in the area soon.
