Your guests will enjoy the Southern hospitality that we bring to our catered events, and brides will certainly appreciate the convenience! We cater to the Outer Banks of NC, from the 4x4 area of Carova, down to the tip of Hatteras Island. We serve eastern NC-style BBQ, chicken, ribs, beef brisket, and all the traditional side dishes, and our meats are smoked over hickory logs for long hours at consistent, low temperatures. It is truly a regional specialty that would be difficult to find outside eastern North Carolina, and would provide your guests with a true taste of the region.

Amazing experience of southern BBQ! Yummy Brisket! Love the beans ! Absolutely loved the cornbread!Great food and a perfectly customized catering experience for our OBX wedding. High Cotton BBQ was the perfect place for our wedding. Their catering services were customizable to fit what we wanted and were easy to work with. Highly recommend! I would highly recommend High Cotton to anyone looking to cater any type of event or to just eat a meal at their restaurant. We planned an OBX wedding from out of town and Sherry was so helpful in the process with making sure the menu was exactly what we needed. We stopped by for lunch on vacation a month before the wedding which did nothing but guarantee we made the right choice. Food was great, everyone we interacted with had great customer service and Sherry even made sure she was there to meet us that day to make sure we had everything straight for the wedding. Highly recommend to anyone!! We love High Cotton and it will become a new staple for lunch/dinner on our vacations in the future.

When my husband and I were planning our small backyard marriage celebration in the Outer Banks, we knew we wanted to have BBQ and found High Cotton. The catering manager Sherry was very responsive to all of my many questions and requests via email. My mother-in-law has Celiac so we needed gluten free options and were very pleased that most of the food from High Cotton is GF. Furthermore, they kept all of the GF and non-GF food separate for us and packaged everything for us in aluminum pans. All of the food was delicious - especially the brisket! Highly recommend High Cotton!

I recently had the pleasure of working with Sherry at High Cotton BBQ. I planned my Corolla, Outer Banks wedding at the Mark Twain House from Connecticut and basically took a chance on all our vendors. I began emailing Sherry for information on BBQ catering for our wedding “Welcome dinner” the night before our wedding. Sherry was so responsive and helped me with everything from how much food to order to gluten free options for guests with Celiac disease. We were extremely pleased with ALL of the food we ordered and our guests were actually asking two days later if we had leftovers. I highly recommend High Cotton BBQ! Thanks again for your great service & food.

My fiance (now husband!) and I chose to use High Cotton BBQ for our wedding reception and could not have been more pleased. We received many compliments on how delicious the dinner was. Not only was the food tasty, the group at High Cotton was a breeze to work with. We loved our experience with High Cotton and would recommend them to anyone!

Working with Lori was a pleasure, she communicated nicely and promptly and answered all of my crazy face questions. The bbq was great and our guests really enjoyed it. They brought everything then needed and we hired a bartender and helper (to set up the benches for the ceremony)who were dressed nicely, polite, and offered great service! We also ordered a bunch of extra bottles of their sauce to send to everyone as thank yous for traveling so far for our wedding. 15 bottles for like $45 dollars, can't beat that! Great food, wonderful service, great price.

My husband and I used High Cotton to cater our wedding reception at our beach house in Kinnakeet. The food was absolutely delicious! Good pulled pork with a true Eastern NC vinegar sauce! They also provided amazing sides, cornbread, mac n cheese, roasted chicken and tangy baked beans! The staff was punctual, professional and so kind. It began to rain and the staff was kind enough to move from under the car port to the tent where all the guests were, so we all didn't have to walk in the rain. They promptly boxed up leftovers for us when everyone was done. They truly made the wedding planning process so much easier. Lori and her crew are the best! Please use them if you are having an Outer Banks wedding! They will travel any where on the island.

The food was delicious. We had WAY TOO MUCH food and had to throw a lot away. We used the delivery and set-up option which worked out fine. However, they forgot to leave us sterno to keep the food warm.

High Cotton Catering is absolutely delicious! They were extremely responsive, very punctual and helpful. Their pricing was competitive with others in the OBX area, but they definitely exceeded our expectations with their services. Our guests felt like we were in their restaurant, eating just out of the oven food. Their macaroni and cheese was to die for, their baked beans were extraordinary, and their BBQ pork was delectable. Thank you High Cotton for such mouth-watering food at our unforgettable OBX wedding.
