High Definition is a wedding band based out of Dallas, TX, specializing in expertly played covers. Since forming in 2008, we've entertained countless crowds, and the annual events we perform continue to have us back year after year. We're happy to travel outside DFW for your special day! High Def plays music from all genres and decades, with selections to delight every guest. Our catalog ranges from Michael Buble to ACDC, and our focus is on modern party music--artists like Lizzo, Bruno Mars, and Harry Styles. We welcome requests, and will learn your special dance songs! High Def will work as MCs to help direct your reception and make any necessary announcements. We can also provide recorded or live music for your ceremony and cocktail hour. We have options for separate sound systems and microphones for your ceremony--send us a message! We’re all about creating memories, like getting you and your bridesmaids on stage to sing with the band, or for your dad to play a sax solo with us (yes, it’s happened before and it was awesome). We’re in the business of serving your vision and making lasting memories for you, your family and friends. Have a special private dance request or want a special horn exit? Let us know!

The band leader Ross met with us prior to discuss the itinerary and the music that my Daughter and her Fiancé wanted for their 1st Dance and the Parents Dances. He was very accommodating and professional. As a music industry professional myself for many years, I must say that they exceeded my expectations and were a pleasure to work with. We worked closely with Ross over the months leading to our wedding, to plan music personal to us, the timeline for the evening, as well as the logistics & lighting for the event. High Definition even added new songs to their repertoire just for our special dances. The outcome was beyond our expectations.
High Definition performed most of our ceremony music, facilitated our blessing and toast, and rocked our reception with an 8 piece band.
Every single person at our reception later commented on what an amazing job High Definition did. Our photographer's pictures of the reception portray a packed and fun dance floor thanks to the talent and high energy of the band. And, to date, everyone that attended share their fun memories with us of their enjoyment of the band & celebration. Hiring High Definition was one of the best decisions that we made!

Meet the Team
Ross Redmond
Owner
Ross is a pianist, vocalist, writer, and producer who has been working professionally in the Dallas/Fort Worth music scene since 2005. He comes from a musical family and grew up studying both classical and jazz piano, as well as percussion and drum set. He began his career in music after graduating from the University of North Texas with a degree in jazz piano performance. When he’s not performing with High Def, he can be seen performing at various Dallas venues, as well as writing and producing music in his downtown recording studio.
