High Tone Entertainment

had a phone call the week prior to the wedding to go over all song choices for the ceremony and reception which made us feel at ease. He asked us what songs we would like for things we hadn't even thought about which was extremely helpful when you have wedding brain! Our dance floor was packed all night and people are still complimenting us on the music. We also got the cold sparks for our exit which was so fun! 10/10 recommend high tone!!

day of. Highly professional and kept the dance floor going all night. Would definitely recommend High Tone to others planning a wedding in the area!

us the whole way. They are easy to work with! There is a portal where you can add songs you want/don't want played, can create your own playlist or leave it up to your assigned DJ. I also believe their pricing to be more than fair! Our assigned DJ, Nik Lizcano touched base with us leading up to the wedding. He was such a good resource and very thorough on our final details call. We have nothing but great things to say for High Tone & Nik. Thank you for making our wedding day great!

ight were flawless and the crowd loved them! Leading up to the wedding Nik stayed in touch with the timeline as well as listened to what I wanted or needed from him. Truly a professional and made me feel relaxed throughout the planning and let me party all night long at the wedding

ngs for the wedding. He had everyone on the dance floor!

nd did a wonderful job. He was communicative and responsive in the planning stages. On the day of the wedding, he kept the dance floor going all night. I highly recommend them for your wedding!

had the perfect length for all the songs. He knew when to change the vibe, had fit in all of our requests, and made sure to keep songs playing full length if we were all loving the song. The entire night the dance floor was almost always full. We had so many compliments on the music. Thanks Nik!!

ghly recommend them!

and reception, lighting, the photo booth, and making announcements and keeping the vibes of the whole night at a 10 at all times. Josh made sure to go over our song choices and pronunciation of names with us before the wedding day and helped make the entire planning process and wedding day itself go very smoothly. I highly highly recommend booking High Tone for your events!!!!

ad made the right choice. Brandon was our DJ, and our wedding guests absolutely loved him! He was so much fun and is ridiculously good at his job. He did an incredible job of reading the room and keeping the dance floor going. From the moment the music started, the dance floor never slowed down. The planning process was easy and stress free. If you’re looking for a DJ, look no further. High Tone is the best in the business!

so much fun, and he was such a big part of that!

n atmosphere for our wedding. Every track was ready to go and played promptly. He really helped everything at our wedding go smoothly and helped make my wedding dreams come true. I would highly recommend! 10/10!

introductory call with owner Josh, I could see why. Josh went above and beyond throughout the planning process. The High Tone team is friendly, responsive, and true professionals. Their planning portal was so helpful to plan our ceremony and reception. We utilized High Tone's services for our ceremony music, reception music, uplighting, custom monogram, and ceremony livestream. Our DJ for the day was Joey Baggott. Joey was absolutely fantastic. He was extremely friendly and high energy. He took the time to get to know our music taste and exactly what we wanted for the day. DJ Joey was very kind to our friends and families and was excellent at reading the room and selecting the songs. His transitions and announcements were wonderful. I could not recommend High Tone Entertainment and DJ Joey enough - they were absolutely wonderful!

back in 2019 for our March 2020 wedding. As the wedding date approached, so did Covid and we were ultimately forced to postpone our nuptials. I was already happy with my decision to hire High Tone, but the way that they handled the entire postponement with such grace, kindness and compassion left me even more convinced that we had made the right choice. Unfortunately as 2020 came and went, we were hit with a LOT of changes… including a venue change 30 days out. This resulted in MANY emails, phone calls and texts back and forth with Josh as we had to literally reconfigure our entire wedding. Josh, once again… the real MVP, worked with us with patience and understanding as we switched out… EVERYTHING. I’ve heard a lot of horror stories from other couples this year and vendors who have been less than accommodating and I was SO relieved to find that we had ZERO issues. As our new date in September approached, we entrusted Josh with the music and entertainment for our ceremony, cocktail hour, our reception, the photo booth, uplighting and a live stream of our ceremony. We were able to create a custom photo booth frame that matched our invitations and all our decor, which was SO fun and a wonderful special touch. Josh also handled making sure the lighting in the room was perfect and I am THRILLED we made the decision to add uplighting to our wedding. In typical 2020 fashion, we had a very last minute heartbreaking situation of my sister/maid of honor not being able to make it to the wedding and Josh didn’t hesitate or skip a beat to jump in and arrange to Zoom her in so she could still deliver her speech. It was something I had not even considered until Josh suggested it and I am SO grateful he took the initiative to take action and make this possible for us. I was able to literally sit back and let him coordinate with my sister directly and didn’t have to stress or worry about a THING! On the music side, I can’t sing his praises enough. When it came down to the wire, I was too mentally exhausted to think of songs we wanted to hear at our reception. So instead I gave him the vibe we wanted and said “you’re the professional - I’ll let you do your thing. Roll with it, feel the vibe and keep the dance party going.” Josh DELIVERED. We had the MOST fun and he had all the guests on the dance floor. We had big range of ages in attendance and it was really important to me that the older folks would have just as much fun as the young kids… and they did. Our wedding was over a month ago and I am still getting family and friends telling me how much fun they had and how the DJ was SO GOOD. I typically don’t write reviews, but I couldn’t miss the opportunity to let other couples know how fantastic High Tone is. Best advice I can give is this: book them and trust in their ability to do their jobs!

rviews over the phone, and when I connected with Josh for the interview, we were on the phone for 1.5 hours! I got off the phone and told my fiancé I found the guy and didn't need to look any further. Josh was professional, very responsive, willing to work with my budget and gave suggestions on what could work best for my wedding. I told him one of my wishes for my wedding is that people stayed on the dance floor all night...well I got my wish. My dance floor was packed the entire night, no one wanted to leave it because there were great songs being played one right after the other. I had soooo many compliments on my DJ (Josh) from guests after the wedding! High Tone Entertainment made it so easy for me to make a list of songs I wanted to have played or not played through their portal, it was so helpful! I also was running into an issue with my first dance song being too long, and Josh was kind enough to work his magic and cut a new version for us so our dance wasn't too long, but didn't cut out at a weird point! It was perfect! The photo booth was also a hit! It was so fantastic to have to only deal with 1 company vs 2 in regards to DJ & photo booth. Guests loved it and I was able to get copies of all pictures taken throughout the night. Brendan (the attendant) was also AMAZING! So friendly and patient with guests (especially as the drinks started really flowing as the night went on). Josh (and High Tone) are seriously the best ever and I would very highly recommend them to anyone in need of a DJ! Thank you Josh and High Tone for keeping the energy electric, fun, never ending at my wedding. You truly helped make it the absolute best night!!

ngs that have big bands that set such a fun tone for the reception. Let me be the first to say: NO NEED to spend your budget on a band....High Tone Entertainment was FANTASTIC, so much fun, and so incredibly easy to work with. I was able to set a portal up online, enter songs I wanted/didnt want, and pay all in one place. What I didn't realize before planning a wedding is that without a DJ, you really need someone to do some MC work throughout the night. So, by hiring a DJ, you kinda hit two in one. Josh played our ceremony music, worked with the wedding planner to cue at all the right times. He had a playlist for our cocktail hour. And then he introduced us to our reception and played awesome music, as well as MC'd any directions regarding food service, cake cutting, guest book signing, etc. I did not even realize how helpful a PROFESSIONAL would be for this. Do not just let your best friends date be in charge of the MCing. Additionally, they offer a service to live stream your event. In the midst of covid, this was a necessary add on, and it was so nice to have the technical pieces taken care of so seamlessly. Josh and his team at High Tone are WELL worth it. Truly, and shockingly, my DJ was my most complimented vendor - and I had stellar vendors. Cannot recommend enough.

s very easy to navigate. He even had music from the Bloodsport soundtrack! That alone should give him 5 stars! Thanks for making our night so much fun!

meet Covid restrictions. We added the live streaming service of our ceremony for family and friends who couldn’t attend the wedding just a few days before the wedding and it was so worth it. And even though at the last minute, I wasn’t able to provide as much prep time for the livestream as they had asked for, they were set up and streaming and the ceremony began right on time. Nick did a fantastic job as dj and set just the right tone that I wanted. High Tone truly helped us make our day perfect.

people safe while still honoring this important event in our lives, Josh Ray jumped into action and started brainstorming ideas. In the end, they were able to provide us with an excellent quality livestream of the event, a Zoom call following the ceremony so that we could see the faces of our friends and family, sanitation stations, as well as great DJ skills. We had a phenomenal experience working with Josh Ray and highly recommend their services!

conversation before the wedding with everything laid out including "MUST PLAY SONGS" Let me cut to the chase... he didn't play ANY of them. The whole night was 'generic' wedding/dance music which everyone seemed to enjoy but it wasn't my style.. I didn't feel compelled to the dance floor. When our PHOTOGRAPHER tried to jump in and advise Nik what we wanted to hear... he just ignored her? I'm not sure. There were some other things but really, it's not worth my time. Nik is now the butt of our jokes about messing up the wedding... so thanks for the laughs, I guess.

ond to phone calls and emails. We also utilized the easy online portal to make the decisions about the night's playlist, and Josh did a fantastic job of blending our indie rock sensibilities with more pop-friendly songs that had everyone, young and old, on the dance floor literally all night long. High Tone was a vendor we barely even had to think about leading up to and during our wedding day because we knew they had it under control with their experience and professionalism. So easy and great to work with!

tell he was going to be a great vendor to work with. I was not wrong! He was always quick to respond to emails or calls. He had an online portal that was really easy to use for us to select music we wanted at the reception as well as a form to fill out to help him with pronunciations of names, order of events, etc. Josh absolutely MADE our reception. He had the whole dance floor packed and I, as the bride, didn’t want to leave the dance floor all night! I would highly recommend josh ray to anyone!

m High Tone, was great to work with! He provided ceremony music suggestions & was calm & kind about last minute details. We ended up going with a string duo, violin & cello. I am sad to say I do not know the names of the excellent musicians from High Tone but I can say with certainty that they were wonderful!! They sat off to the side of the ceremony location and unobtrusively provided an incredibly beautiful & lyrical element to the ceremony. They were the ninjas of classical musicians--quietly arrived ahead of time, set up with no fan fair, played the 30 minutes before the ceremony, during the ceremony and for the processional without me (the MOB) ever registering that they were there. I only knew that we had the most amazing string music that magically added the perfect element to the ceremony. Our guests were enthralled with the music and the performers. We had the most professional and lovely experience with Josh and High Tone Entertainment. I cannot recommend this booking agency highly enough!!!!

e send off, and the iPad photo booth. The guys were super people, people and lots of fun to work with. If we had it to do over, we'd do it the same.

brought our dogs into the reception space) and our guests had a blast as a result. I also highly recommend utilizing their string trio - it was such a special touch to our ceremony and not one we will soon forget. Thank you, Josh & team!

nicer or more gracious and was a true pleasure to work with.

or packed & everyone had so much fun! We loved working with them & would highly recommend!

pointed. High Tone knows how to make it right. Cody was professional, friendly, and kept the night moving along even with schedule changes due to inclement weather on our day. People were on the dance floor the whole night!! Thank you Cody and Josh for everything!

ings was wonderful and I walked down the stairs exactly as I imagined to "my song." He also did a great job keeping the flow of the morning by letting guests know when special events would take place. We are pleased with Josh's professionalism and affordability.

lighting made all the difference in our pictures! We had people asking for the DJ contact info before we even left the reception!

sional!! Thanks so much!

he party going all night long and was very professional. The dance floor was packed the entire time, which is exactly what we wanted. He even worked with me to do a traditional polish bridal dance that is done in Pittsburgh. Guests are going on and on about how much fun the wedding was, and we cannot thank Josh enough for that. The uplighting that he provided was gorgeous as well.

as straight off a CD. Great personality and flexible!

our contract and it was not that much extra. They also provided some beautiful uplights for our ceremony and reception that really added some pizzaz to the wedding. I had many compliments on the DJ's music selection, as he played music that made the entire crowd dance. We had an age range of 3 to 95 years old, so he really had to cover a wide variety of tastes. My only regret is that the DJ played my "must play" list in the order that I had given it to him, so some of my favorite songs did not make it into the rotation before the night had to end. If I'd known that this was going to happen, I would have rearranged my list. Lastly, my father thought the DJ self promoted a bit too much, but I hardly noticed it. To top it all off, they were much more affordable for 4 hours of reception music than many of the other companies in the area, yet they did a top notch job.

patient with me (I am super OCD). He also provided our up-lighting and a string trio for the ceremony. This is a very well-run business and I have already referred three other people to him because I know he will take care of them.
