Joe Blow grew up in Appalachia learning the benefits of self-sufficiency and homemade products from a young age. He fondly remembers watching his relatives and neighbors raise cattle, make butter, grow vegetables, and produce soap. He was inspired years later to start his own natural soap company following shoulder surgery which prompted him to pivot careers and go back to his roots.
