Out of all the photographers in the world why did you choose to work with us? We chose to get married in a small mountain town in North Carolina, not only because it is a special area to us as a couple, but because we LOVE the mountains. Because of that, it only made sense to work with a photography team that specialized in photography in higher elevation areas, like Asheville and Jackson Hole. We knew that Highpoint Photography would not only capture the beauty of our Wedding day, but also capture the essence and the beauty around us. Highpoint Photography's website also highlighted a number of awards and features in well known websites, like the Knot, which gave us confidence.Their professionalism, strong communication, patience and kindness was just a bonus! Did you have any challenges, frustrations, fears, or concerns prior to working with us? Were those fears resolved? And if so, how? The biggest concern we had around photography at our wedding day was... the weather! It was so important to us to be able to capture the beauty of the mountains and we wanted as many outdoor photos as possible, but we knew rain could hinder the plan. Heather called me the week of our wedding to discuss our plan B and any creative alternatives. She studied our photography locations and came up with photo backdrops and alternatives that I would have never thought of. The care and thoughtfulness allowed us to still take most of our photos outside, even if it meant Drew was having to hold an umbrella over Heather. Another concern was logistics. We had a micowedding and did not choose to have photography at the reception. Heather and Drew were so accommodating and made sure that we still received all of our requested shots and more during the short period of time. Heather and I walked through the timeline of everything in advance, even carving in plenty of time between locations to park. This made sure we stayed on schedule and took away a lot of stress the day of. I ended up requesting an additional hour of photography only about a week prior to the wedding, which I think was so worth it. Weddings are so expensive and the day goes by so fast. After all of the time and money that goes into planning, we end up walking away from the day with memories and photos. I recommend prioritizing the extra time with the Photography team, when in doubt. It paid off and was beyond worth it! What were the results you got from working together? We could not be happier with our Wedding photos and have gotten so many compliments. We are so grateful for Heather and Drew! What would you tell someone considering working with us? Go for it and do not be afraid to reach out to Heather ahead of time with any concerns or ideas. They want to make you happy and are on our team. They're the best! Is there anything else you'd like to add? Heather greatly helped us all pose in the most flattering ways as well, which made a HUGE difference. I am now going to remember "the turtle" when posing for photos in the future. Do not be afraid to ask for her help.
