y made every step of the process enjoyable. She was there to provide recommendations and ease fears about having a wedding on Block Island in the middle of a tropical storm on top of being extremely accommodating. We could not have asked for a more knowledgable, talented and kind photographer. I highly recommend Hilary, she will not disappoint!
Hilary was extremely responsive to phone or email communication about the surprise proposal my son was planning. She felt our choice of locations would not make the best shots so w...
e moved it and it was totally worth it. The lighting was perfect and even made this old lady here look half decent! Highly recommend.
Hilary was by far the best photographer we have worked with! She captured a surprise proposal during a sail in the best way! She helped my fiancé plan every detail (we are from NJ ...
and got engaged in Newport, RI). The pictures were FABULOUS! Hilary is so sweet and so talented, she’s an absolute pleasure to work with. We highly recommend!!
Hilary photographed our surprise engagement and captured all of the raw emotions of being on cloud 9 immediately following our engagement. Hilary was so sweet to work with and made...
us feel at ease. She drove us around Newport and even stopped at a location that we drove by that wasn't part of the plan, because we couldn't pass up the picturesque location! Hilary surprised my fiancé and I with a champagne picnic on the beach to top off our engagement shoot. Her skills coupled by all of the personal touches made our engagement a day we will never forget. We couldn't be happier with our engagement photos and would highly recommend her to anyone!! Thank you Hilary!!
Working with Hilary and her team has been an absolutely fantastic experience and I can't recommend her enough. Hilary first met Arash, my husband, and I in 2016 at my friends weddi...
ng in BI and we both knew right then that she would be our wedding photographer one day! We love her style. She's professional and approachable, and really works to understand what's important to the bride and groom. For our wedding we wanted a lot of candid photos and she did just that. We received our photos a few weeks ago and we are obsessed! They are beautiful and she did an excellent job capturing all the special moments of our wedding day.
What makes Hilary really amazing is her attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond. We didn't want to do engagement photos but she still took the time to meet with us in August and see the place where we were getting married. She even did a fun, impromptu photo shoot so we had a few photos to remember the special day. Arash is Persian, so on the day of our wedding Hilary made sure to capture all the Persian decorations and the special moments during our ceremony that were really important to my in-laws. After the wedding, Hilary checked in with us frequently, keeping us updated on when the photos would be ready and sharing a few 'sneak peeks' every week as small surprises of what was to come. When the actual photos were ready, she sent us a handwritten card and sparkling wine to celebrate as we looked through them. She's thoughtful and puts a personal touch on everything she does. It makes a huge difference and truly sets her apart.
Hilary and the work she and her team did for our wedding will always hold such a special place in our heart! We will continue to stay in touch and work with her, and I can't recommend her enough. She is a talent!
Hilary did a wonderful job with our wedding photos! She captured great memories of every part of our wedding (first look, ceremony, first dance, cake cutting, etc.). She was very o...
rganized and made sure she asked what we wanted photos of, who we wanted photos with, and where we wanted to take them. She even took the time to visit the venue with us and do a walkthrough of different places we could take photos the day of. Thanks to Hilary we have a ton of beautiful pictures from our wedding day we will cherish forever!
Hilary was awesome and willing to brainstorm tons of different locations for our engagement photos. We left no stone unturned in Block Island!
She was very easy to work with and she does an amazing job! My fiancé and I were more than pleased! We highly recommend her!
We worked with Hilary for our engagement photos in Newport, RI. Since the engagement was a surprise Hillary took the time over several phone calls to brainstorm on location, time o...
f day (e.g. lighting), and the set up for the surprise proposal. She provided recommendations on different locations and shared some of her insights and experiences that helped me achieve my vision for the day.
On the day of the engagement Hillary was awesome and was flexible to work within the plan that was crafted and even came with some bubbly for the celebration. The pictures came out amazing and she is a consistent professional and has an excellent eye and attention to detail that captured the important moments brilliantly.
I strongly recommend using Hilary!

and make it so memorable. Hilary made us feel so comfortable as she shot with us and the pictures she took are absolutely stunning. She disguised herself perfectly the day of; I had NO clue she was there for us. She took the time to get to know us throughout the shoot and shared in our excitement the entire time. We would highly recommend Hilary to everyone in the Newport area... she’s amazing, so professional, and makes herself so available to you before, during, and after the shoot!

Throughout the whole day, Hilary and her team made everything go smoothly. She was very organized with time and knew the places to take the photos. She is a professional, and the right person to contact for your wedding pictures. Cindy and Tyler enjoyed every minute of their wedding; they were relaxed and happy. Thanks to Hilary and her team, they did a terrific job.

own Hilary before we even got engaged so it was only natural for us to want her to photograph our wedding.
Hilary was very patient with us as well as giving us great suggestions for our first look photos. She was also extremely organized and knew exactly the photos we wanted when it came to the wedding, it was almost as if she knew our wedding guests.
On our wedding day, we had Hilary and her two assistants, Ashley & Jessica. They were not intrusive in any way which was something we were a little concerned about. They all were very upbeat and a pleasure to spend the day with.
We continue to get compliments on how beautiful the photos are from our wedding. Hilary captured everything perfectly. She even made some photo magic with an indoor sunset after the rainy weather made it impossible for a sunset photo.
Thank you again for capturing our wedding day perfectly and going above and beyond our expectations! If you are looking for an amazing photographer with amazing photos to match book Hilary today!
Hilary Block is much more than an incredible photographer. She helps organize every detail for your wedding, and gives you excellent advice throughout the planning process. Hilary ...
is very professional, responsive, and organized. We began the process by taking engagement pictures with her, which were the absolute best photographs of my husband and I that we've ever had. We were married on Block Island a week ago, and Hilary went above and beyond any other photographers I have ever seen. She spent the weekend with us, even attending our rehearsal the night before and giving us a better idea of the order of the ceremony for the next day. We truly enjoyed having Hilary there for our special day, and by the end of the weekend, it felt like she was part of our family. She is worth every penny!!! Thank you Hilary!

arsal and wedding! Couldn't recommend her more highly!
Hilary and her associate were amazing to work with - they captured the beauty and love of our day with creativity and enthusiasm. we loved working with them!
My daughter chose Hilary to photograph her wedding. Hilary is an artist. Her work was detail oriented and well done. She was professional, on time, cares about her subjects, and ...
enthusiastic.
Hilary also knows how to work among crowds so as to not interrupt or cause any confusion. The pictures were terrific! Thank you, Hilary.

onal but on top of that were very conscious of what we wanted out of our photos. Hilary listened to every suggestion and comment we had. Would definitely would hire Hilary B. photography again in the future.
Hilary and her team were excellent. They helped us coordinate the whole day perfectly and made sure that we captured every memory on our busy and wonderful day beautifully.

tured all the important small details that are often overlooked, but important to a bride and groom. the pictures that were captured are beautiful. Hilary also keeps a wonderful rapport w/her clients. She even went so far as to deliver our portraits to our home and schedule a private bridal shoot. Her attitude and 'service' more than makes up for anything that was missed.
Hilary B her work is unmatchable! The pictures come out crystal clear and for someone who looks horrible in photos she knows exactly how to pose them to bring out their best. Hilar...
y took the time to have an engagement session prior to our wedding. (This was included in our package)This is probably the best thing you could do. You learn how to work with her and she understands the chemistry between the bride and groom. I haven't seen my pictures from my wedding day, but we did spend a little too much time on group/family pictures versus my husband and I. That is the only reason I am giving Hilary 4 instead of 5 stars. Her work is amazing and I would recommend her always and will use her again in the future. She had a wide range of packages for all sorts of budgets. She also has additional photographers to get more angles for your photos.
we got married on block island oct 6 2012. I met with hilary the summer before and found her to be very personable and willing to go with the flow. My husband hates his picture ta...
ken but We decided to take engagement pics that summer at the north light house around sunset and had the best time We did playful things romantic things dramatic things etc and because it was not yet our wedding I think we were much more relaxed. One of my favorite pics is us standing at the tip of the island where the two sounds meet. It was windy and the seagulls are taking flt as we turn to face the camera. Its fantastic!! People have said they've never seen such beautiful pictures. Our wedding pictures are equally good and as we didn't want to spend too much time taking pics I was very pleased at how organised and efficient it was. Hilary is a very taleneted and passionate photogreapher but even better she is a passionate person and lots of fun. Definitly check out her work !
Hilary was an excellent photographer for our wedding at the Glen Manor in Portsmouth, RI. She took the time to meet with us at the site prior to the wedding to make sure she knew ...
how the event would go and where the key photos should be taken, and also gave use some great ideas! The photos come out fabulous and we have received compliments on them from all of our family & friends. Thanks so much, Hilary!
