Although our wedding was in October (which is possibly the busiest month of the year for wedding planners in Texas), Amy was consistently relaxed and present, and always made us feel like a priority -- I often forgot that she was probably managing several weddings at once behind the scenes. :) She always had creative and flexible ways to accommodate our personal sentiments in our wedding while also offering her own ideas in areas where we didn't have much preference or didn't want to necessarily follow through with tradition. The vendor team she put together was stellar, and it was clear that our vendors all adored her and trusted her just as we did. I seriously cannot thank her enough for all her help. We would recommend her to ANYONE!!

e I already had most things planned out. At around the month mark, Amy and Allie took over all vendor communication and created a complete schedule of arrival times for vendors and all the events. I was feeling stressed the week of the wedding and they were able to meet with me again and reassure me that everything was going according to plan. They helped us decorate the venue the day before and corralled everyone for the rehearsal. They also helped me pull off a pre-ceremony event at an alternate location and ensured everything was set up so that everything would run smoothly on the day. I had forgotten an element to our table centerpieces and by the time I arrived at the venue, everything was complete and perfect. Having Amy at the reception took a huge stress off of me. She made sure all the vendors were doing what they were supposed to do and when and when I had questions or corrections, she took care of everything. She boxed everything up at the end of the night and it was totally streamlined and ready for us to pick up the next day. It seems like a small thing, but she also found my husband’s Yeti somewhere, rinsed it out, and made sure it made it into our bag at the end of the night. I really enjoyed working with Amy & Allie and I highly recommend them.

sister after all that she did for us. I was a COVID bride and everything shut down right as we were going to have the wedding and reception. We had a small church service and Amy was there to help me with the dress since we could not have more than a few folks (and I was missing my bridesmaid) and she rescheduled all of the vendors - twice! At our much later reception she was there and helped with a dress emergency and made sure all the vendors were in place and everything was orchestrated seamlessly. In the planning process she knows all the vendors so was able to help take my wedding vision and translate that to the caterers, florist, and photographer. Amy highly organized ! Additionally, she is so cheerful and positive - the energy that you need when planning a wedding!

She would often send me text messages to check-in throughout the entire process. And she orchestrated everything with other vendors beautifully during the planning process. Everyone loved her! She pulled off the perfect day for us, and that wasn't easy with our high expectations. We met with some coordinators who seemed a little stuffy and stuck on the old-fashioned way of doing things, but Amy would give us both the old way and then how most people do it now. Most of all, we were just blown away by how beautiful everything looked and how smoothly it all ran that day! She is exceptional at her job, and we are so very glad that she agreed to coordinate our wedding!

mber 21st 2020 wedding. We got the package where all details are taken over 6 weeks before the wedding so the bride and mother of the bride can have less stress. Due to all the wedding re-schedules, we were bumped to another planner, which I didn't really agree with since our wedding date was never changed. But, I wanted to be helpful in these difficult times. This was about five weeks before the wedding. We had never met the new planner but Amy assured us it would be great. We met our new planner just a few weeks before the wedding and I had many questions and she had many for me. It all felt very rushed. She was very kind and positive and worked hard to get things lined up. So, then the plan was that the new planner would take the lead and Amy would be there to help. So all of our e-mails included both planners. I was feeling better. Then, the Thursday before the wedding, Amy said she could not attend because of one of her other weddings having an ill person from Covid. She said that now she could not be at the church and that we would have a third person at the church for the ceremony so that the 2nd planner could set up the reception during the ceremony( since we were needing quite a bit of set up help). Then when it came time for the rehearsal, we were told we would have a Facetime call right before the rehearsal to see if we had questions, there would not be a planner at the rehearsal. I didn't know what was normal so I agreed to it and didn't really feel like I had a choice. At the rehearsal, there were multiple changes and it felt very chaotic. When I got to the rehearsal dinner, I was having to get in touch with the planner to talk about multiple changes-adding more reserved pews, moving readers to different reserved seats, etc. while trying not to appear rude at the dinner. I just really wished the planner was at the church with me at the rehearsal. So, then on the day of the wedding, we had this new planner who was asking me questions about where people went, etc. She was nice and I know she must have done a lot that I don't even know about but she just didn't seem totally comfortable, probably because she had never been to that church before, as she mentioned to me at the end of the ceremony. I was told later that the groomsmen were in the way of people trying to come into the small entry of the church and no one was moving them elsewhere. It all just felt very disjointed. Oh, and we were to have a flute player at the ceremony that was on the list for the planner to coordinate with but the flute player never showed up and she said that no one contacted her. Our piano player was great, so we hardly noticed not having the flute player so we weren't too upset on that one. So, as I stated at the beginning, I do feel like things would have been different if we weren't in a pandemic. But, my advice to anyone would be that if you are having a church ceremony, have the same planner with you at the rehearsal and at the ceremony. It would help alleviate a lot of stress I think.

She worked closely with me, my now-spouse, my mom and my sister—across three different states!—and kept everyone in the loop. She took our ideas and made them happen or made them even better; where we had no idea what we wanted, she was able to make suggestions and fill in the gaps. Communication was seamless at all points. The things we had planned for months were realized beautifully when the time came, and the inevitable last-minute requests and hiccups were handled almost before they arose. I honestly cannot imagine how our wedding could possibly have been more beautiful, more perfectly timed/coordinated, or better in any way at all. Amy made all of it happen. She led the teams from the venue, caterer, DJ, florist, hair/make-up, and photographer graciously but efficiently. And while I know she did an enormous amount, the truth is that she did more than I will ever know about, as she handled every single thing during the wedding weekend and let me and my family just enjoy it. I was able to relax and truly experience my wedding, knowing that I was in the best of hands and that everything was running smoothly. And a note for those planning a wedding during the coronavirus: Planning a wedding during a pandemic is no one’s first choice, but Amy made it work. It was incredibly important to us that our wedding was safe for everyone—for family, guests, and vendors alike. Amy helped us set the tone and to ensure that we were as safe as possible. I highly, highly recommend Amy to any couple looking for a beautiful wedding, an enjoyable and exciting wedding planning experience, and the feeling that someone is looking out for you every single step of the way. ess. Amy was very easy to talk to and work with when we had questions regarding the company itself, but Ali was our coordinator. Let me tell you about Ali. I am a workaholic, control freak, never let anyone else handle anything else for me type of person. Seriously -- I was answering work emails the morning of my wedding while getting ready. I like everything the way I like it and don't want to budge. My mother is the same way. Ali was truly the most gracious, angelic individual all while handling my need for control beautifully. Not only did Ali manage me well, she even made me feel confident. I had so much confidence in Ali I knew I wouldn't have to worry about anything. Since it doesn't happen often I decided to let her really take over. Sure enough this detail oriented, kind, meticulous, and organized soul handled each and every single detail perfectly. Everything was PERFECTLY executed. Even my mom loved Ali as much as I did by the wedding day! My dad and husband couldn't believe how relaxed and calm we were with Ali running the show! If that's not enough of a reason let me tell you this story. Two nights before the wedding one of our vendors emailed me stating they could no longer deliver their service that had been contracted. I'm sure you've heard the beginning of Verdi's Tuba Mirum at some point. Well, my dad and husband were with me when I read this email and they both said they heard that opening in their heads when I told them the email. They were cringing trying to retreat away from me just waiting for the blow up that was sure to ensue. Well, that never came because I knew Ali would fix it. She was quick to respond, fast with a solution, and solidified the new plan within a few hours the next morning (it was almost midnight when I got the email). Ali's response time with a viable, quality solution was extremely impressive. In the end, we think we liked the new service she set up for us more than what we had contracted initially ourselves! Save yourself some grief and just pick Ali at Avenue Q.

She was able to give us recommendations on a variety of things from where to get table placements, to what hotels would be best for guest etc. She has been in the business for several years, so she thinks of all the things you won’t. If you want a seamless event and to feel stress free on your wedding day I highly recommend selecting Amy to be a part of your wedding planning process. She was not only wonderful with helping leading up to the wedding she was amazing at the actual wedding. She was able to instruct everyone on where they should be and when. She coordinated with vendors so my parents didn’t have to run around making sure everything was going as planned. Amy was all around AMAZING! I am so thankful we met her out at King River Ranch and that she choose to work with us! What a gift it was to have someone so dedicated to her professions and the satisfaction of her clients.

Fast forward a few months later, we had to find a new wedding coordinator, and I tearfully told Amy how things would have been SO much better if she could just take over. Little did I know that four weeks prior, she opened Avenue Q Consulting, and she was able to join our team of INCREDIBLE wedding vendors. The transition from our former coordinator to Amy was seamless and was not even a hiccup in the process. Amy is a force with which to be reckoned. She is quick, but never made me rush with decision-making. She is calming, but definitely demands the best from the vendors. Amy knows the answers to every question that I could ask, but never makes me feel as though my questions are inane (trust me, I had some of those). Amy also has tiny fingers, and can bustle the heck out of a dress (this is so important!). I don't know if other brides and grooms (and MOBs) grow so attached to their wedding coordinators, but we almost started crying when we said 'See you later' to Amy on the Sunday morning after our wedding (after she got every last bottle/card/leftover pair of sunglasses loaded into my parents' car). Amy is THE best in the business; you will not find a better person to help in your day, and you will not WANT a different person to be there for your wedding day.
