Hillary is the only vendor we used for our daughter's wedding who was not a previous "known-to." We reached out to some other recommendations first, but kept coming back to Hillary's beautiful online photos and excellent feedback, so we decided to roll the dice, and we are so delighted that we did! She took time to scout our location, met our daughter and her fiancé for coffee, and organized Zoom meetings in advance. She provided us with a great list of photo suggestions and was stellar about keeping in touch, both before and after the wedding. And there are so many outstanding photos as a result! I don't know how my daughter and her husband are going to choose for their wedding album! If you are looking for a kind, talented, patient, and thoughtful professional, you have found her! We highly recommend Hillary!

I might be dating myself, but I can still remember my first camera. It was pink, and used something called 110 film that (almost) no one getting married today will have ever heard of. After pursuing a BFA in photography, I started working for a local event studio and discovered the world of wedding photography. Many years, and many events later, I opened Hillary C. Photography to capture weddings the way I'd want my own wedding captured, naturally and with heart.

She has a true gift for capturing not just moments, but energy and movement. Some of our favorite shots are the ones full of life and action that she was able to capture, like the giant Jenga mid-collapse or the axe throwing in motion.
She also handled our formal portraits with such professionalism and care. We’ll be the first to admit we didn’t make it easy with our tired faces, but Hillary was so patient and encouraging, helping us perk up and look our best.
What really sets Hillary apart is the level of skill and of all the photographers we considered, she stood out clearly as someone working on a higher level. captured so many fun, real moments, stuff like the axe throwing and the giant Jenga — in a way that makes you feel like you’re right back there in the middle of the action.
Even during the more formal parts (when we were both pretty groggy), she kept things moving and helped us look way better than we felt. Seriously, she made magic out of our tired faces.
What really stood out to me is how professional she was through the whole process. Fast responses, super organized, and somehow managed to get all our photos to us way quicker than we expected. We looked at a lot of photographers, but Hillary is just on another level. She’s got the technical skills and the creative eye, which is rare.
We’re really glad we went with her — she captured everything we hoped for and then some.

Before our wedding, she was incredibly helpful in planning out the day’s timeline and organizing our photo list. With rain on our wedding day, we had to pivot from our original plan and move both our family photos and ceremony indoors at the last minute. Hillary handled every change with such calm and understanding, keeping everyone at ease, even with several young kids running around.
She is also very organized and timely with her communication, which was very much appreciated throughout the chaos of wedding planning!

ior to the wedding, we met with her to discuss “our must have” pictures and timing so we could ensure we wouldn’t have any regrets. Wedding planning can be stressful but she was one vendor we did not have to worry about AT ALL. She arrived on time and was able to sneak in some pictures that we originally didn’t plan out but I’m so grateful she used every minute to capture moments through out our wedding day. She also captured so many great candids and helped us pose and relax in front of the camera (we are not the best photo people so we really appreciated her guidance!!). She made my husband and me feel very comfortable during our photo sessions and gave a perfect amount of direction so that we got amazing shots. Keeping to the timeline on wedding day is incredibly important, yet difficult, but Hillary was super organized and was able to command the attention of all family members to be efficient during portraits. During the event Hillary and team were not intrusive and got amazing action shots of the ceremony and dancing. I promise you will not be disappointed if you choose Hillary to capture your special day or events leading up to it.

When my sister got married a few years ago, she had a different photographer who didn't capture many of the family shots we requested and was generally super disorganized. Hillary was the exact opposite of my sister's past experience. Her sense of organization and teamwork ensures that she captures every photo you want. She is super responsive and provided incredible guidance on our schedule, timeline, and photo list. Moreover, she does an incredible job "herding cats" on the day of the wedding - we had so many family members we wanted in photos and she made sure everyone knew exactly when they were due for a photo.
Hiring Hillary was the best decision we ever made! I cannot say enough amazing things about her!

Leading up to our wedding, she asked us to send a list of everyone we wanted a photo with which made the day of run smoothly. When it came to our wedding day, she somehow always managed to be around whenever I was thinking to myself "this would be a good shot." Any time I would find friends or family I wanted to snag a photo with I'd turn around and she would be there! She was also so helpful as my husband and I went around the room from table to table to try to get a photo with all of our guests. I recognized this first in the way she wrangled both families for portraits after the ceremony with precision and good humor. We were able to get a ton of photos and still have time for our couples shots before the reception. As for the rest of the night, she and her assistant quietly slipped into the background, capturing all of the important details, including some we couldn't notice because we were to busy having fun. We worked with her for our wedding and not only did she send us some amazing preview shots within days, we received the full set of pictures within three weeks of our wedding!!! I am in love with our pictures -- I really don't think there is one bad shot, each picture is better than the last! In addition to her amazing talent, Hillary is also extremely professional. Hillary communicated with us regularly from the very beginning, even sending us inspiration for specific details we had mentioned in passing. Hillary is amazing and I cannot recommend her enough!!!!

wedding photographer about 6 years ago, so it was no brainer when I was choosing a photographer that I wanted her to capture our special day. She is super easy to work with, creative, organized, professional, listens to what you want, and makes you feel comfortable. Hillary is also extremely patient. We had five children under the age of six in our wedding party, and Hillary and her team managed to get them to stay still and smile in order to get some fabulous photos of the entire wedding party. Then, after the wedding, Hillary was quick in getting us our photos. Needless to say, if you are trying to find a wedding photographer – look no further - hire Hillary!
