Hillary and RJ are fully vaccinated/double boosted and committed to the safest possible ceremony experience for you and your loved ones. They are only able to work with fully vaccinated/boosted couples.
Availability:
PNW Wedding Officiant is currently accepting bookings through June 2025.
Travel Range:
Our travel range includes the following Western Washington counties: Island, King, Kitsap, Pierce, San Juan, Skagit, Snohomish, and Thurston.
RJ will consider summer (June-September) travel to Clallam, Grays Harbor, Jefferson, Mason, and Whatcom Counties on a case-by-case basis.

We were hesitant at first to choose someone we didn't know, especially when it seems like a lot of people are having friends or family officiate, but we are so happy we chose Hillary! It was amazing how well she captured our story and how personal the ceremony felt. We loved how she gathered what we wanted for the ceremony - we were able to take our time, her questions helped us think through parts of the ceremony we might not have remembered to include, and she provided suggestions/recommendations as needed. The entire process was so easy - from first consultation through getting our official wedding certificates, Hillary guided us through the process with clear communication and instructions which was a relief to not have to worry about amidst all the other wedding logistics. Definitely would recommend Hillary!

She is extremely professional, friendly, and takes good care of each couple. She makes my life as a wedding photographer so much easier! Allowing natural pauses for great photo moments during the ceremony, strong communication so you know exactly what is coming next, and sneakily stepping out of frame for your first kiss as a married couple. We chose the "Standard Ceremony" package with RJ officiating our wedding. He crafted a personalized script that was not only funny but also made the entire process stress-free.
RJ is an amazing officiant and person to work with. Not only was he super patient throughout the whole process with us as we had many questions but he was also very flexible with changes and accommodations. He also last minute offered to help coordinate our rehearsal and it was so helpful as we initially were going to run it ourselves. He was great on the wedding day and was mindful of moving out of the way for the big “kiss” on the wedding day which we very much appreciated. He also was very organized throughout all of this and guided us in all of where we needed to sign the marriage certificate on the big day and what we need to do after he submits it to the county. We are so happy with our choice of having him be our officiant as it is a very special moment in our lives and we couldn’t imagine having someone else marry us. We definitely recommend having RJ be your officiant if you are looking for a neutral officiant for your big day who gets the job done efficiently! I will definitely be recommending RJ for future couples who are getting married and are in need of an officiant.
Hillary was fantastic - she was knowledgeable, professional, well-spoken, kind, and made everything so easy for us! Planning a wedding can be incredibly stressful and we had some hiccups but Hillary was so adaptable through it all and handled everything regarding the officiating and marriage certificate and made that part so smooth. Hiring Hillary as our officiant was one of our best decisions in the wedding planning process! We received so many compliments from our guests about our ceremony, thanks to Hillary's talent for writing an authentic and moving script. She was extremely helpful every step of the way, from providing forms for us to fill out about how we envisioned our ceremony to running point at our rehearsal and quick marriage license filing.

I found PNW Officiants on Facebook. Hillary and RJ are a team and they stood out because they donate a portion of their profits from officiating to a charity of your choosing which seemed very touching to me. They were in budget, flexible, and great with communication leading up to our ceremony. I knew I had wanted something simple, and RJ managed to keep our ceremony simple but made it so much more beautiful than what I ever imagined it’d be. There was a moment it hit me that I was in the middle of getting married and I got choked up. RJ saw it and gave me a really gentle affirmation mid vow and it was enough to get us through the rest of the ceremony. After the ceremony RJ went directly to the courthouse to file our certificate and sent us an email to confirm that it had been processed. If I had to go back, I wouldn’t change anything. We feel lucky that we landed in such good hands.

We cannot say enough about our officiant and how incredible they were. RJ was absolutely wonderful, he really made our vision come true. The entire process was smooth from the very beginning, and we loved being able to see the script before the wedding. He even sent a wonderful questionnaire beforehand that helped us put our vows together because of the questions that were asked. Everything was so detailed and beautifully put together, it really highlighted the beauty of our love story. And he mailed our wedding license right after the ceremony and even sent us a tracking number so we could see when it arrived at the court! Again, we cannot recommend RJ enough.
Hillary not only took the time to customize and make our ceremony special, but she put in a ton of effort prior to the event to make it extra meaningful. She checked in with us both before and after our event, gathered info on our lives up until the big day, and had a genuine interest in learning our story.

RJ was absolutely WONDERFUL! I really appreciated him sending us the questionnaire and vow examples weeks prior to our elopement. It helped me think of things I would not have thought of otherwise. He additionally processed our marriage license for us and sent a very detailed email regarding how to obtain a certified copy of our marriage license. All of this definitely helped in making our elopement special and stress free. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you are searching for a wedding officiant in the PNW area!

Hillary was FANTASTIC - she wrote such a lovely personalised service for us and our guests that took them through our love story, worked so collaboratively with us to make it perfect, and really helped calm any concerns we had about the day itself.
She very helpfully filed our marriage certificate for us the next day (which as as someone in the US on a visa, was a really important step to get right and get done quickly for me!)

Hillary is such a warm and welcoming person and we feel so fortunate to have had her as our officiant. Our ceremony was everything we wanted, she had so many suggestions and prompts to choose from which really helped us because we had zero idea on how weddings worked. We opted for the happy tears ceremony and let me tell you, there wasn’t a dry eye. She is so comforting and just all around great at what she does, I highly recommend her!

Hillary was so on top of everything!! She officiated our ceremony with such grace and humor, and included really touching things about us as a couple. She was also so easy to work with, and sent us periodic reminders about when to apply for our marriage certificate and any other legal things we had to do which were greatly appreciated. She was available whenever we had questions. I can't recommend her highly enough!

Hillary was amazing! We initially found her online and she was readily accessible for us to communicate with through email. We were able to meet through Zoom to discuss our wedding vision. When we submitted our pre-ceremony questionnaires, my husband and I felt she did an awesome job incorporating some of our key points that we wanted in our ceremony/vows. She was present during the rehearsal at the venue to help clear up any questions and was super friendly and welcoming throughout the entire process. She got our marriage license filed quickly and was great with providing other helpful tips along the way (I.e., navigating the name change process). We felt lucky to have her there for our wedding day! Would absolutely recommend her to family and friends!

Hillary is wonderful. We met first on Zoom and instantly knew she was the perfect officiant for us, then when we met in person for the rehearsal we knew we 100% chose perfectly. She is great at communication through the beginning of booking her service, all the way until the very end, when she files the marriage license for you. She clearly knows her job well and enjoys it, and you can tell, which put us at ease. The ceremony with her was perfect, we loved what she said and loved that she personalized it to us so well, based on a questionnaire we filled out for her. Lastly, I Love that booking with her, she gives some of her proceeds to a non profit of your choice that she partners with, a selection of about 8 places. 10/10 would easily recommended!
Throughout the process, Hillary was friendly, professional, and flexible! She understood what we wanted and delivered beautifully. We booked her basic elopement service plus vow writing assistance (both very reasonably priced). We had a joint Zoom session and individual ones for the vow writing. She arrived a little early to the ceremony spot make sure we were ready to say our vows on schedule. She sent us tracking for our mailed paperwork and followed up to let us know that it had been processed and accepted. Hillary made us feel comfortable and we had a great experience!
Hillary was prompt, professional, and her system with couples made for a incredibly sweet and memorable ceremony. We had a teeny tiny micro-wedding and she was totally accommodating, never made us feel like it was any less special. Highly recommend!
I loved working with Hillary! She worked with us to create a ceremony that fit us as we're non-secular and didn't want any language that seemed like a property trade. She gave us options to create our own vows or to use something she had already prepared. Our service had our own personal touch in so many ways so much so that my sister-in-law came up to us afterwards saying how much it sounded exactly like us. It was really lovely working with Hillary and I am glad she was there to work with us through the wedding licensing as well.

Hillary is amazing at her job and I am so glad my mom found her while looking for an officiant that conducts a non-denominational/non-religious ceremony. She was professional, very quick to respond to every text and email and was extremely helpful with answering all of our questions. I’m a 2023 bride and had such an amazing experience with Hillary! My husband and I had such an amazing ceremony, the way she writes the ceremony is absolutely beautiful and was a perfect start to our marriage. We had the most amazing experience working with Hillary. She was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and flexible in making our day unique. She supported us in making sure both my husband's cultural traditions were included as well as western traditions. She even met virtually with my in-laws to make sure the ceremony would run smoothly and meet their expectations for the cultural ceremonies. Hillary was our wedding(elopement) officiant and working with her has made our wedding very easy. It was a smooth and amazing experience for us to have the simplest celebration that' we'll treasure forever. She truly cares about what you need and how you wanted your celebration to be. Hillary is an amazing officiant & individual. She is so helpful, responsive, and holds so much insight to the wedding industry. Any question I had, Hillary was on top of it. She even reminded us when it was time to apply for our marriage license! She was also super helpful in outlining our ceremony, adding in special notes and customizing this piece to the two of us. Even after deciding to prepare private vows, my thoughts and what I wanted to say were so scattered, I didn't know where to start. Hillary was so helpful in organizing my thoughts and points, and taking the additional time to meet with me, that I was able to put everything into one speech.

Everyone should hire Hillary IMMEDIATELY for their wedding. We were hoping to have a family member officiate, but after we had a family member back out, we were able to hire Hillary. I was personally nervous about having someone who didn’t know our love story personally officiate, but Hillary was the perfect balance of professionalism, great public speaking, and tons of warmth and heart! She sent us each individual forms to fill out where we got to express more about ourselves, and then took our ceremony writing from there. She gave us the option to either read it or not, which we chose not to. I was almost as excited to hear what my partner had written there as for the vows! It was one less thing off my wedding plate to not have to write the script and I trusted Hillary so much. She balanced tears + laughter perfectly during our ceremony, took care of our marriage license, and made us feel supported all along the way!
I’d also strongly recommend having your officiant there for your rehearsal, I felt like we may not need it, but Hillary gave expert advice about microphone placement, ceremony flow, and helped everyone feel super comfortable with the process.
Hillary is also incredible inclusive in blending different faith traditions, nontraditional ceremonies, and will work with you every step of the way. On top of that, she donates 10% of her proceeds to charity. Hire her, today!
Hillary is everything that we could’ve asked for in an officiant. She was very timely with her communication, always prepared, and overall just such a dream to work with. She worked with us to create a custom script that suited our personalities and the vibes of our wedding. She even worked in a chance for my aging grandfather to speak so he could be involved in the wedding ceremony. Hillary really went above and beyond, helping with things I never would’ve thought of, like printing out our vows for us last minute and showing our best man when and how to present the rings. She is a very eloquent speaker and she had our guests laughing one minute then tearing up the next (the good kind of tears!) 10/10 would recommend her to ANYONE.

Hillary was fantastic! We met with her once over Zoom and had kind of a meet and greet. After that we filled out a couple questionnaires, and she basically ran with it. We didn’t know what she was going to say until the day of (we wanted to be surprised) and it was perfect!

We had an elopement ceremony at a Seattle park and Hillary was our officiant! From our very first conversation to go over the details of our ceremony, Hillary was always on top of things. She had some great suggestions for ceremony locations and some beautiful pre-written vow options to choose from. The ceremony was quick and exactly what we wanted it to be. She also immediately mailed in our license to the county office and handled all the paperwork seamlessly. Would highly recommend Hillary for your PNW wedding!

Hillary is an absolute joy, we're so happy that we hired her to officiate our intimate elopement. She was so friendly and professional, she knew everything to do from filling out our wedding certificate to jumping out of the way just in time for first kiss photos! She's the one you want, I promise
As newly weds, of course with no prior experience with weddings and all that goes into it - it almost felt as if we bit off a little more than we could chew. In spite of the long hours of preparation, all that could possibly go wrong prior to the ceremony itself, went wrong. Nevertheless, Hillary turned it all around and made our special moment a success!
We both can't speak highly enough of how accommodating, understanding and patient she was with us. At her price, she was more than a bargain and worth every penny, in making our wedding day so special. She was incredibly easy to work with, very organized, flexible and made us feel at ease all throughout the process. It honestly wouldn't have worked withoit her and would definitely highly recommend her!

Hillary was the perfect officiant for our wedding. My partner and I wanted a short but meaningful ceremony, and that's what Hillary gave us: an 11 minute ceremony with plenty of moments of laughter and tears. Afterwards, several guests told me it was the best wedding ceremony they had ever been to. I would highly recommend Hillary for anyone seeking a wedding officiant.
I am so pleased we went with Hillary to officiate our wedding. We let her know we wanted our ceremony to be relatively brief, non-denominational, and personal... but beyond that, we didn't really know what to expect. Hillary expertly guided us through the process; all we had to do for preparation was provide Hillary answers to a few thoughtful questions. She ended up weaving parts of our answers into her script, culminating in a heartwarming ceremony that had all of us shedding a tear! Hillary is an excellent and professional public speaker and a true joy to work with. Thank you, Hillary, for a ceremony we'll always remember!
The ceremony for Taryn and Andy, officiated by Hillary, was the best I have ever been to. It was neither rote nor trite. Rather it was custom scripted, touching and humorous. Hillary is a very polished, experienced and articulate speaker, so kept everything on track. All the guests loved the ceremony, including its brevity. That left more time for everyone to celebrate!
