My husband and I loved working with Hillary to photograph our wedding. She took our engagement pictures as well and we really loved how welcoming and sweet she is. She was on time with every meeting, she was professional, and most importantly, she saw our vision and made it come to life. We loved having Hillary capture our special day and we highly recommend her to our family and friends!

Hillary was the best! Her esthetic was so beautiful and romantic, we knew it was exactly how we wanted our big day captured. She was also so easy to work with, so patient and calm. She was also so organized the day of, keeping all of our bridal party straight and efficiently capturing group pictures. Her work is truly art and we are so lucky to have had her capture our big day! OK WOW - I truly have no idea where to start. But, here is what I will say when we received our wedding gallery we got multiple calls/texts from family members crying telling us how perfectly they captured our day. Hilary was our first choice photographer and we were so excited to work with her. She flew to NYC twice (once for the engagement shoot) and early to shoot our welcome party before the wedding. We were first drawn to Hilary's photos because of the story they told, and how she captures not only "staged/formal photos" but also all the candid and intimate ones - which turned out to be our favorites. In terms of working with her. Fast/prompt/responsive. I am a VERY type-a bride, and Hilary went above and beyond to make sure all of my questions and concerns were addressed. Also on the day of the wedding, we unexpectedly had to change photo locations and Hilary handled the change like the pro she is - and got more photos (honestly better) than expected. Hillary is absolutely amazing. We met Hillary over a year ago for our engagement session. She made it very easy and effortless while capturing gorgeous little moments. My now-husband was concerned about feeling goofy or awkward but he looked very handsome and strong with Hillary's great cues. This was great practice for the wedding day. On wedding day, she was punctual, sweet, and very professional. The groomsmen were very excited and chaotic at times, but Hillary was able to grab their attentions and get the photos we needed. Throughout the night, she checked in to make sure we got all the photos that we wanted. Since we have known Hillary over a year ago, we have had multiple friends work with her for their weddings and family portraits. I would highly recommend Hillary Muelleck Photography again and again!

We cannot say enough great things about Hillary and feel so lucky that we were able to find her to shoot our big day. Hillary photographed our engagement photos and is set to photograph our wedding! She did an amazing job on our engagement photos. We've received so many compliments. I cannot say enough amazing things about Hillary and her photography. We knew we had to have her photograph our wedding. She traveled to us for our engagement session and the photos were so beautiful along with the stunning film photos too. Hillary did an exceptional job as our wedding photographer. We contacted her because of the great reviews she had and she did not disappoint. From the very beginning, she has been extremely responsive and detail oriented.I reached out to her at the early stages of my wedding planning, and she immediately responded and sent over photos and a detailed wedding planning guide that was extremely helpful in getting ready for my big day. On the day of our wedding, she was professional, prepared, and knew exactly what she was doing. She kept us moving during our photography session and made everything so easy for us. We were up against the clock and trying to make sure we were able to get our pictures in before it started raining and Hillary was very efficient and got every picture we wanted and then some, while keeping the session moving along. Her sneak peak pictures were absolutely stunning. We plan on using Hillary again for future family portraits.

Hillary was the photographer for our wedding that took place on May 17, 2021 at the Biltmore Estate. What initially drew me to hiring Hillary for my wedding was her photography style as after seeing her portfolio I loved how perfectly dreamy and romantic her photos were. I had done a ton of research on photographers and everyone that was listed on the Biltmore Estate preferred vendor list had a dark and moody aesthetic to their photographs, which was not my style at all. I wanted to partner with a photographer that could help me create timeless, etherial photos that looked more like a styled wedding shoot than your traditional wedding photography. I felt like Hillary really took the time to listen to what mattered the most to me regarding what I wanted prioritize having captured on my wedding day. She reviewed my Pinterest board and had detailed conversations with me to understand exactly where on the estate would be optimal for the look I was going for. The results? Well my photographs were better than I could’ve ever imagined - I am SO IN LOVE with my sneak peek wedding pictures I’ve seen so far. The sneak peek photos were so good that my sister, Christine Hunt of Grey Meets Gold, who works in the wedding industry as a wedding stationery thought they were stunning that she recommended them getting submitted to bridal magazines to be featured. Anytime I emailed Hillary she was always very quick to respond to me which I REALLY appreciated and the level of detail she brought to the day of my wedding was amazing. I also really appreciated that she had a sneak peak of our wedding photos available for us to view within 48 hours after my wedding. Hillary will definitely be the person I call for any photos we need in the future such as for our annual Christmas card, family portraits, and I would go the lengths of hiring her for my step-children's weddings when it's their time. I will also encourage all friends and family to hire Hillary for their wedding or any of their photography needs. Hiring Hillary was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding. She was unbelievably kind and supportive throughout our engagement and her flexibility made adjusting to COVID (which happened AFTER we hired her, set a date, and booked a venue) much more manageable. Our photos turned out STUNNING, of course, and my husband and I cannot wait to look back on them in the many years to come. During my initial meeting with Hillary, I felt she understood my unique and complex position of being a foreign bride getting married during a pandemic (Groom from Raleigh, I’m from Australia- we initially planned to elope with our families somewhere in the middle but due to the pandemic we had to change plans and ended up getting married in Raleigh with no friends/family from my side as they were all unable to travel due to Australia’s strict pandemic travel ban). I felt like Hillary really took the time to listen to what mattered the most to me regarding what I wanted prioritize having captured on my wedding day. She listen to me and took all those things I said onboard and the result were better than I could’ve ever imagined- I am soooooo in love with my sneak peak wedding pictures I’ve seen so far. Also anytime I emailed Hillary she was always very quick to respond to me which I REALLY appreciated! It was also an added bonus of how well she worked with everyone on my wedding day (all our guests thought she was so sweet and made a point of saying she wasn’t one of those crazy obvious obnoxious photographers that can sometimes ruin the ceremony) as well as how well she worked and got along with my other vendors (my videographer and her worked seamlessly together). I also really appreciated that she had a sneak peak of our wedding photos available for us to view THE DAY AFTER my wedding. Hillary will definitely be the person I call for any photos we need in the future such as for our annual Christmas card, potential newborn or any family portraits down the road. Hillary did an outstanding job photographing our wedding! Not only was she incredible at her job, she was very professional, knowledgeable, kind, and literally made my wedding day easier for me. She was willing to help with anything and made me feel so comfortable in front of the camera. I had no worries that day knowing that she was taking care of everything and doing her job to the fullest potential, and even beyond that! Hillary is the best wedding photographer I could ever imagine!! She is super friendly, fast, and made our entire wedding process a breeze from start to finish. She was extremely flexible through the numerous changes we made due to covid, and her pictures from our wedding at the Duke Mansion are absolutely breathtaking. Hillary had a large “sneak peak” album ready the day after our wedding (perfect for sharing with family and friends), and the full album was ready early, too! I was drawn to Hillary because of the quality of her pictures, but I was blown away by how professional and wonderful she was to work with! Would absolutely recommend Hillary to everyone!!!

We scheduled Hillary last minute for our “micro-wedding” when our plans had to be adjusted due to COVID. She offered a plan and price that worked perfectly for us since we weren’t going to need her for longer than an hour and a half. She even had “sneak peak” photos ready for us that night after the ceremony! I’m obsessed with all of them, they turned out so good, I can’t wait to see the rest!

Hillary was amazing to work with! We scheduled an engagement session with our 3 dogs and she made the experience fun--we got the cutest pictures. It was great to get an idea of how she worked in advance of our wedding day. What can I say about Hillary and her assistant on our wedding day--um, they were the best! When there was a last minute issue with taking pictures at the church, she just made it work and we have some incredible pics from the balcony of the sanctuary. Hillary is a true artist. We really wanted candid/unposed shots of our friends and family and she delivered. I can't say enough about how professional she was, easy, and fun!

Our wedding was only about a week ago, but Hillary sent us our sneak peek photos within just four days and they are STUNNING. We had our engagement shoot with Hillary as well, so I knew the photos would be beautiful, but I am honestly blown away by each and every photo we have received so far, and these are only a few of what will be our wedding album! Hillary is incredibly sweet and worked with us throughout our entire engagement all the way up until our wedding to ensure we got the photos and shots we really wanted. Getting the right photographer was the most important parts of planning our wedding, since it was someone we’d be working with our entire wedding day and photos are something we’d treasure forever. I’m SO glad we found Hillary! She’s AMAZING! I did a ton of research on photographers (I come from a picky family of photographers) and finding which style I prefered before we found Hillary. She came highly recommended, and she went even above and beyond what we hoped for! Hillary is an amazing, experienced professional, and truly wonderful to work with. She’s down to earth, sweet, up-beat, and very encouraging. She was extremely attentive to emails throughout the entire wedding process - a blessing, considering we planned our wedding from out of state. She skyped us for our initial consult, and then met us for engagement pictures around our crazy schedules. Upon first meeting her back in May, she instantly made us relax with her friendliness, quick smile, and assurances that everything was looking wonderful. I’ve never seen my husband so willing or excited to have his picture taken before. The session flew by, and we were giddy by the end, ready to jump ahead a few months to wedding day to get to take more photos with her. (Added bonus - she shoots film & digital, and everything looks great!) On wedding day, she showed up ready for action. She went with the flow, bending the timeline as needed. I really appreciated that she used beautiful natural light in our photos, and used our venue, its grounds, and the rooms as backdrops for photos rather than bringing a styling kit. I love that she didn’t pose us throughout our wedding and photos during our first look and cocktail hour, but instead took photos of us with suggestions of what to do next, making it feel much more relaxed, natural, and exciting. She was accommodating and flexible, even when our large family milled around instead of gathering for group shots. She captured the small details, like my husband singing to me during our first dance, and kept everyone relaxed and smiling effortlessly throughout the afternoon and evening. Even my dad, who hates getting photos taken and blinks in nearly every picture, relaxed in front of her camera and looked wonderful. I don’t think there are enough words or the right words to express how thankful I am for Hillary. She truly knocked our pictures out of the park - every photo we’ve looked at captures a story and they are stunning. We’ve received so many compliments on our photos. Between the photos I’ve printed out from engagement pictures and the wedding, I joke that my home is now covered with Hillary masterpieces. Choosing Hillary was truly one of THE ABSOLUTE BEST decisions of our wedding planning process, and I would do it over and over again if I had to.
