Hiring Hillary Shedd Photography was one of the best decisions we made for our destination wedding weekend in Estes Park. Hillary and her husband (who second-shot) photographed bot...

h our early May welcome party at The Landing and our full wedding day at The Chapel on the Rock and The Boulders at Black Canyon Inn— and truly captured the entire weekend with heart, energy, and incredible attention to detail. From the beginning, Hillary was extremely communicative and organized. She helped us plan the timeline, offered suggestions on photo locations and lighting, and made us feel totally comfortable every step of the way. On the wedding day itself, she was such a positive presence — calm, focused, and also just so much fun to be around. You spend more time with your photographer than almost anyone else that day, and we couldn’t have asked for a better person to be by our side. She and her husband hustled all day and made sure every detail — big and small — was captured. The lighting and composition across all of our photos is stunning, whether it was the golden hour portraits or the cozy indoor shots during the reception. We also appreciated how quickly she turned around the full gallery — it was such a joy to relive the day so soon after. If you’re getting married in Estes Park or anywhere in Colorado, we highly recommend Hillary Shedd Photography. Her talent, professionalism, and energy made a huge impact on our weekend. She left a lasting impression on me, my husband, and family - we are very grateful!

Hillary was the absolute best and would highly recommend her for weddings!! From the moment we met her, we knew we were in good hands. She was professional, responsive, and an abso...

lute joy to work with. She provided thoughtful, valuable guidance throughout the planning process which took a lot off our plate. Hillary went above and beyond with planning our engagement session, which we had to reschedule due to weather. Her and her team valued what was important to us leading up to and including wedding day, which made us feel heard. As people who don’t love posing for photos, Hillary and her team made us feel comfortable throughout. The photos are gorgeous and they captured the beauty and joy of our entire wedding day. Hillary worked well with our other vendors, which made planning from across the country a breeze. Her and her team struck the perfect balance of interacting with guests, but not being intrusive. We are so grateful Hillary and Taylor were part of our day!

ent above and beyond, not only during our engagement sessions (even helping us navigate some less-than-ideal weather in our first session!) but also in capturing every special detail of our wedding day in August. The images she and her team captured are absolutely stunning—every shot feels so reflective of the joy and love we felt that day. Hillary and her team brought such an easygoing and fun energy that helped ease a lot of the stress. We would wholeheartedly recommend Hillary and her team to anyone looking to document their most special moments. They are truly amazing at what they do!

Your wedding photos are one of the few things you get to take away from your day and allow you to relive the beautiful, special moments of your wedding. Hillary did an amazing job ...

of capturing not just the big moments but all the little details as well. She truly gets to know her couples and her photojournalism style tells the story of the day. From the moment we started to work with Hillary we both felt comfortable and at ease. She is incredibly talented as a photographer, but also is just a really kind, professional, caring person to work with. You can tell she loves her job and that made us feel so much more at ease with taking photos. She also helped carve out some special alone time for my husband and I during our big day, where while taking photos we were able to just pause and be present with each other. She helps facilitate beautiful moments in a natural way that captured the love, joy, happy tears and laughter that made our wedding day so special. Planning a wedding can be stressful, but Hillary is incredibly organized, communicates well and offers great advice when planning the day of timeline. We also received our sneak peak within a few days of our wedding that included a great variety of photos and then within 7 weeks had our full gallery. The gallery was so easy to navigate and share with family and friends. Hillary is amazing and we highly recommend working with her.

Hillary is excellent! One of the most important vendors at your wedding is your photographer. The photographer captures the moments, memories, and all the little details – Hillary ...

did it all and went above and beyond! She got to know us through video calls, questionaries, and an engagement session. She was very organized throughout the planning process and wedding day. One thing that a lot of people don’t think about is the timeline portion of receiving photos. Hillary has an amazing turnaround time for sneak peeks and the full gallery. I highly recommend an engagement shoot with Hillary. It was my favorite part of the wedding planning process. It allowed us to be one on one with Hillary without the stress of the wedding festivities. We got to meet each other in-person, get comfortable in front of the camera as a couple with Hillary, take photos in more casual clothes, and share a lot of laughs along the way. We had our engagement shoot about four months before the wedding, which was perfect timing because it got us even more excited about the wedding when the photos came back. My favorite parts about Hillary’s images are the timeless, classic, vibrant elegance in each photo. She balances the subjects without losing color in the background. She’s able to bring in light without making it feel overpowering in the photos. My family and friends loved the photos as well. Many of their comments included things like, “These pictures are fabulous!”, “Your photographer was the best I’ve ever seen!”, “Absolutely stunning photos!” In summary, if you’re looking for a professional photographer that makes you feel comfortable in front of the camera, has a creative eye, captures the moments, memories, and all the little details, look no further than Hillary Shedd Photography!

photography experience. She was extremely professional, and very knowledgeable about weddings in general. She photographed our engagement session and we got so many compliments on our save the dates and invites which had our photos on them. She created our photography timeline and made us and our friends and family feel confident for photos. The quality of her work is excellent, and we are so in love with our photos. She truly captured our love, all while displaying the beauty of our day and the nature of Estes Park. I couldn’t have asked for a better Photographer to document our day! Thanks Hillary!

our full wedding gallery, the entire process was seamless, thoughtful, and engaging. They take care of things that you never thought you would need to think of to make your day go as smoothly as possible! After using Hillary & Taylor for our engagement session, we knew we had made the right decision. We were nervous to be in front of the camera in such an intimate way, but Hillary has a way of soothing all your nerves as if she is someone you've known your whole life. She immediately calmed us with her kind demeanor and used the perfect cues to make us laugh, cry, and everything in between. The quality of work from this dream team is impeccable, and I would recommend them 1000 times over to anyone getting married! They are incredibly fun, nice, talented, and went above and beyond for us! We are blown away by the photos we received and haven't been able to stop looking at them since!

Hillary and Taylor are hands-down the best engagement and wedding photographers out there! We were picky and shopped around a lot. Hillary Shedd checked every box for us and then c...

hecked boxes we didn’t even know needed to be checked. They made every part of capturing our wedding both intimate and fun. Hillary and Taylor work so well together. They brought expertise and comfort in posing us in the right light, herded family members to the right places without disrupting anyone’s experience, and kept everything flowing during our hectic day. The resulting photos reflected how awesome Hillary and Taylor are at what they do. Hillary’s true-to-color editing style truly highlighted the details we wanted from our outdoor Colorado venue. Planning and communication was also easy. Hillary puts a lot of thought into the questions she asked us and really prepares to capture the moments that were going to be special to us. Without question, we can say we will cherish our photos forever.

We love so many of them that it's hard to choose our favorites. I have no doubt that anyone else who chooses Hillary will have just as wonderful an experience as we did!

y and she moved personal events around to be our gal. My (now) husband and I are not super comfortable in front of the camera and our engagement shoot was one of my favorite pre-wedding memories. Hillary and Taylor made us feel comfortable and when we got our album back we were floored how great and natural the photos looked. On my wedding day, Hillary had my back in absolutely every way and honestly felt like an extension of our family. I can't recommend her enough. If you are reading this just book her, I sincerely promise you won't regret it!!

o we wanted on our special day. She did not disappoint. Hillary and Taylor are both very genuine people who go above and beyond to make sure that you feel comfortable on your wedding day. They made sure to get everything I requested to be photographed on the wedding day. We got our sneak peaks a few days after the wedding and fell in love with them. We received our full gallery a couple days ago and are blown away. I can’t recommend Hillary enough for your special day!

ing her elopement package. Hillary is super responsive and a true pro at what she does. She put time in to get to know us as a couple, so when wedding day came around, it was very comfortable taking photos! My wife and I are both the type to feel awkward getting our pictures taken, but Hillary's calming and fun presence removed that awkwardness. We were really impressed by how quickly she sent not only our sneak peaks, but our entire gallery. Lastly, as a queer couple, we were pleased with how Hillary was nothing but kind and respectful throughout our time working with her.

rofessionalism that is unmatched, it often felt like we were her only clients. She and Taylor both had such a calming, supportive, and joyous presence on our wedding day. They made taking photos fun, not stressful and were able to capture our personalities perfectly. There was never a moment in time where I doubted that she had everything under control. Our photos came out beautiful, and we will treasure them for the rest of our lives thanks to Hillary.

e did was very professional and personal. We chose all of our wedding vendors based on who we vibed with and felt like we would enjoy spending the day with - you spend the most time with your wedding photographers! We decided on Hillary about 10ish months before the wedding date & even before then, she was in contact with us to not only offer help with the overall timeline, but also in getting us excited for our big day. Her level of communication was incredible leading up to the day and ultimately, she really want instrumental in the flow of the whole day even with having a month of/day of coordinator. Let's talk about the pictures.... Wow wow wow! We chose Hillary Shedd Photography because of her true color/natural style photos. We wanted timeless photos that we'd love for years to come. She really listened to what we wanted in wedding photos and gave us the most raw, real moment photos of our closest friends, family, and overall our best day ever. We'd recommend Hillary a million times and are so grateful for everything she did to capture our day!

I booked Hillary and Taylor as my engagement and wedding photographers and I am so happy I did! Prior to pictures we were provided a preferred vendor list that helped us book other...

vendors and even additional materials such as engagement outfits ideas, locations, what to include for your details box on the wedding day, and many others! I loved this aspect as they know all this better than we do and can use all the help we can get. For the engagement photos we got stuck in the rain and we still had a great time and the images turned out great. They even provided some hot chocolate for after, the small details. For the wedding I was really happy with the planning items such as the questionnaires and meeting to make sure we were all on the same page and that we all had what we needed. This included her help to finalize my timeline and get her thoughts on it. Then on the wedding day Hillary and Taylor did their thing and I didn't need to worry about a thing, just enjoy the day. Everything ran smooth and we had a great time. The end result was better than we could of imagined and I would highly recommend. In fact, one of my bridesmaids ended up booking her after seeing my engagement photos and would also give her 5 stars.

e in Rocky Mountain National Park in August, and to say she went above and beyond is an understatement. She woke up at 3AM and drove into the mountains with us to be there at 5:30 as the sun rose to shoot our ceremony. She even dragged her husband out of bed for a secondary shot assistant! They were both great to work with, and provided more beautiful images than we ever could have imagined. The quality of the photos is the best I've ever seen, and there's no doubt that she's a true pro from start to finish. I am so glad we trusted Hillary with our big day, and would encourage everyone else to do the same. Thanks again Hillary!

If I could give Hillary 15 stars I would. She and her assistant Ashley (her husband usually shoots second with her but was unable to make it on our day - Ashley filled in and was f...

abulous!) were invaluable in documenting our day. With a photographer being such an important part of the wedding budget, I spent hours researching Colorado photographers and interviewing potential vendors on the phone (sounds Type A, I know). When I saw how beautiful Hillary's photos were online, I was interested. When we got to speak with her on the phone before signing a contract, I was convinced we would be making the right choice by choosing her to photograph our day. She shot both our engagement session and our wedding, and did a PHENOMENAL job. The photos are fabulous, and are so special to have to be able to look back at our wedding day in the future. Hillary is very organized and communicates throughout the whole process (from contract signing to photo reveal after the wedding!), the site she uses to share the photo galleries with us are very user-friendly, and she sticks to deadlines. Hillary brought such a light and easy going presence to our day that otherwise was pretty hectic (but perfect!), and the whole time was capturing every moment. I would absolutely recommend Hillary as a photographer to anyone looking for someone to document their big day - look no further!

We highly recommend Hillary Shedd Photography! Thank you, Hillary!

Each time we look back on our photos we are reminded of the sheer joy and love we felt on that day. Thank you Hillary Shedd Photography!

Hillary is absolutely amazing! We connected with her from the very first conversation. We booked her for our engagement photos and our wedding, and we are SO happy that we did! Her...

demeanor is so warm and calming! Every time we talked to her it was like our wedding stress just melted away! She became so much more than just our photographer. She knows every in and out there is to know about weddings and is more than happy to share tips, tricks, advice, and insight (she even gave us a sample day-of timeline that was a life saver), and she makes herself extremely available to answer any questions that we had. My husband and I are both fairly camera shy, and she made us feel so comfortable and at ease. She was able to effortlessly capture our relationship on such a genuine way during both our engagement shoot and on our wedding day. Obviously with all that talent, our pictures turned out GORGEOUS!!! Her and Taylor are a wonderful team who will celebrate your love with you throughout the entire journey. The love that they have for their craft shines through in the photos that they take. They prioritize your wants and needs and take extra care to capture your most important moments. I could go on and on. I simply cannot recommend them enough! If I could give them a million stars I would!

Hillary is the best! She and her second shooter, Taylor, absolutely crushed it with our engagement session and wedding. I felt comfortable the whole time, and her organization and ...

clear vision are a huge part of that. I can't imagine a better person to photograph the important moments in your life.

er so we could capture some snowy photos. She was excellent to work with! She coordinated with us to make one of our favorite locations work with her new baby's schedule and our photos turned out amazing. We had decided to elope in the interim and had been married for 4 months by the time we met for our engagement photos, but she made the day feel so special for us and we can't thank her enough. She was thoughtful and fun, and up for a really cold and early walk trudging through the snow to get a gorgeous snowy mountain backdrop. We had so much fun and felt like we could really be ourselves. We're so happy we met her and definitely recommend her to anyone looking for a quality human behind the camera who also produces insane quality photos. We had our full album in a little less than 2 weeks and are SO happy that she captured us and our personalities perfectly. Thanks, Hillary!

Hillary was so easy and fun to work with that after our engagement session with her, we didn't hesitate to book her for our fall 2021 wedding! She was warm and kind and even though...

we're not the most comfortable in front of the camera, my fiance and I felt like we were just hanging out with a friend instead of posing for photos. Our photos were returned promptly (even though Hillary had a newborn at home!), and we were so impressed by how many photos we got from our two hour session with her. Our photos far surpassed our expectations; Hillary did a wonderful job of capturing our genuine joy, love, and friendship, while also perfectly capturing the beauty of our state, which was really important to my fiance and I. Most importantly, our dog loved her, and Hillary was able to capture some truly adorable photos with her, too. We can't recommend her enough, and we are so excited to have her be a part of our wedding day!

sitive, and relaxed. We are so in love with our engagement photos, and literally cannot stop looking at them. We are very grateful we found Hillary and cannot wait to work with her for our Wedding day this year. I was apprehensive about taking engagement photos because I felt they could potentially be corny or awkward, but Hillary is such a professional and makes you feel so comfortable. Her guidance throughout the engagement session and her reassuring energy allowed my fiance and I to relax and have fun with the shoot ultimately leading to the best photos. Looking forward to having Hillary be a part of our big day!

I honestly don't know where to start. Hillary has been an absolute dream to work with. From our intro call to seeing our engagement photos today she has gone far above and beyond...

in providing high quality work and she is an absolute blast to work with. I'm honestly bummed we don't get to see her more often! She and her husband put on our engagement shoot at Piney River Ranch in Vail, CO with their 3 week old daughter and it truly felt like we were hanging out with our buddies we've known for years. We truly could not be happier with our photos and cannot wait for our wedding to hang out with her and her husband again! Another really wonderful thing about working with Hillary is she really knows how to capture a couple in their "element". My fiancé and I consider ourselves introverted extroverts and Hillary created a space where we felt comfortable being ourselves without being over posed. Our photos truly represent who we are as a couple and that in itself is special to us. Her editing is so natural. She made me feel absolutely stunning which was just the cherry on top. I can't wait to continue working with Hillary and her wonderful family.
