Hillcrest Bakery

We ordered our wedding cake from Hillcrest, and it was just as delicious as we expected. We were easily able to set up a tasting, and during the tasting they also let us try some extra filling options, which was helpful. There are a lot of choices! I also appreciated their flexibility when we wanted to adjust our cake size and # of tiers based on a revised guest count. Delivery to our venue was prompt and hassle-free. We did pay an extra fee because it was a Sunday delivery, but this is clearly communicated up front. Chocolate cake with bavarian cream filling is so, so good!

The cake we got from Hillcrest was DELICIOUS!! We got a 2-tier cake and also a sheet cake, and both were stunning and tasty, we got compliments on them all night. They were also an easy and nice bakery to work with and the price is right too! Thanks so very much!!

My husband and I didn't think we could afford a proper wedding cake, let alone the one of our dreams, but Hillcrest made it happen! Everyone we worked with was super friendly and helpful. The cake was beautiful and delicious!

Hillcrest is the best! They were absolutely willing to work in our budget and made suggestions to stay within it without trying to upsell at all. The cake is delicious, light and fluffy. Get the chocolate Bavarian cream, you will not be sorry. They had all sorts of guarantees that made us completely confident that our cake would be perfect and it was. Discussed design with Michele and she took lots of notes and did a sketch, all she needed from us was a color swatch since we wanted it in our wedding colors. They are willing to work with you on payment options as well so it doesn't always have to be all a big lump sum. The cake tasting they offer is free, and somewhat lack luster. They only bring out a couple of options but if there's a filling you want to try they will get it from the back for you. The rest of the bakery all smells soooo good too, so bring a strong will if you want to leave the tasting without extra goodies.

Loved our wedding cake! It received so many compliments and the entire process working with Hillcrest was smooth and easy. I gave her an inspiration image from Pinterest and they recreated it perfectly. All I had to do was keep all my toppers and adornments to the side and they did it all. I thought it would be an upcharge to decorate the cake, but it was completely free and a part of the delivery service.

Hillcrest Bakery was great to work with for my wedding. The cake was delivered on time and it looked incredible. The cake was amazingly delicious. My husband and I have also gotten other pastries and desserts from Hillcrest Bakery - everything they make is tasty and we will definitely buy more baked goods from them in the future.

The cake was delivered on time and in perfect condition! They did an amazing job with the extra decorations we provided for them and make the cake absolutely beautiful then and there. It also tasted amazing - by the end of the night there was almost no cake left even though we had bought extra!

I found several pictures of wedding cakes online that I liked. I have no doubt that the ones that I selected would have been very expensive. Hillcrest Bakery was wonderful. They simply said to email them the picture and they could make it happen. They were able to make the cake look just like the picture I sent using buttercream frosting, rather than fondant to save money. The price of the cake was very reasonable and they had lots of options for fillings. Cake was delivered to the venue on time and flawless. Thank you Hillcrest.

A friend of mine's family owns this bakery and I knew all their baked goods were delicious, so I figured their cakes would be, too. I was so right! Honestly, brides, this is the BEST wedding cake I have ever put into my mouth. The pricing is unbeatable since it is a small bakery. Service is a little lacking - I was always feeling rushed when I talked to someone about the cake and there was some miscommunication that resulted in the ribbon around my cake not being right. That being said, I wasn't a very pushy bride, so I'm guessing these issues could be easily fixed by a bride who pushed a little more for better communication. It should also be noted that this is not a place to get a fancy carved cake. These people specialize in unbelievably delicious classic wedding cakes. All in all, you will not beat the flavor and value of this adorable family bakery.

We went with a three tier cake from Hillcrest. They did a great job. We had the top layer carrot cake (for us) the rest chocolate and then did a sheet cake of red velvet. I didn't manage to get a bite of that one, but I heard it was all very good. There wasn't much left, so that is a good sign.

I love Hillcrest! I went in there not knowing exactly what I wanted, but Barb was able to help us create the perfect cake for our wedding. It was beautiful, elegant, and tasted amazing! They are very professional and their products are quality. If you are looking for a unique cake not made by a major chain, I'd go to Hillcrest. I love that they are family owned and have good values. Hillcrest also did an amazing job with the Groom's cake, both were a huge hit!

Hillcrest Bakery located in downtown Bothell has wonderful wedding cakes for a very reasonable price. We got one small tiered cake that was vanilla cake with raspberry filling and buttercream frosting and one sheetcake that was chocolate cake with custard filling and buttercream frosting. Both were wonderful and got rave reviews from our guests. Only a few pieces of cake were left! Looking forward to having our cake at our one year anniversary!

We ordered our cake from here and it was delicious. The decorator did a great job and really listened to our vision so that it turned out just right. She also matched the purple color we showed her perfectly. It looked beautiful and tasted amazing. This bakery is the best! I wish I lived closer so I go could more often!

My husband and I chose Hillcrest Bakery because we love to support local businesses and, after sampling several wedding cakes there, we decided the quality was just too good to look elsewhere. We ended up choosing a two-tier wedding cake with a simple design. The value was excellent, and everyone at the wedding raved about how delicious the cake tasted.

The cake was obviously not traditional. We had a Batman themed wedding and this cake went above and beyond our expectations. It was absolutely beautiful and tasted delicious!

I absolutely love the Hillcrest Bakery. I changed my cake probably 5 times with them and they never once flinched at any of my requests. They are upfront about all the costs when you order the cake so you know exactly what you are paying for right away, which really helped me when budgeting. You can pick different flavors of cake for each layer and they let you provide your own ribbon, fresh flowers, etc. Also they deliver the cake, which takes so much stress off of day of planning. And the cake tasted amazing which always helps. :)

So when I first went for a tasting I assumed they would actually have cake to test. They had only a chocolate and a white to taste even though there menu offered more of a selection and then for different fillings and frostings they just brought a plate of frosting out and left it at the table. Who wants to just eat frosting?! Also when we got there for our tasting we sat and waiting for a while. Once the owner came out after about 45 minutes and after just eating frosting she was more than nice and had wonderful ideas for the cake and you could tell was knowledgeable about servings and options. Happy with the way the cake looked. But they dropped it off hours before the wedding and it was somewhat dry by the time it was served...

When we went here to sample cakes, we came in the morning. There was a line out the door and around the corner. Every table was taken and pastries and goodies were fastly running out! We sampled multiple cake flavors. We even wanted to try a flavor they don't prepare for sampling, but had it in a cupcake and they gave it to us to try! We fell in love with this place once the cake touched our mouths! It was fabulous! We placed our order and I had a special request with cake charms and they did that no problems. The day of, the cake arrived on time and stunning!!!! The gal we met with was so personable, gave us time to make decisions without rushing us, even though the place was super busy! They are a wonderful family owned, 3rd generation business and will remain sucessful because they have it all figured out!

I knew exactly what I wanted before I walked in. It wasn't some crazy ace of cakes type creation. It was a simple, elegant, small 3 tiered cake with a very simple scrolling pattern in black. It was going to get flowers added to it, so the cake needed to be simple. They understood me! They didn't try to upsell me on something I didn't want or need. They really just make great cakes, and made mine exactly how I'd requested. I ordered a sheet cake version of the same thing to expedite serving time. Nobody noticed that some people got cake from the kitchen, and some directly from the cake table. But it saved me about $200 to not have to go bigger for the actual tiered cake. Wonderful! Oh, and when you return all the pillars and plates, you get $50 cash back. woohoo!

Even my friends who don't like cake went back for a second piece. They have been in the business for years. Very professional and very nice to work with.

My mom did a lot of comparison pricing with local bakeries, and Hillcrest was competative. We also had a recommendation from a family member. I was a bit nervous when I placed the order, as the girl I talked to was very young, and I wasn't sure she was getting all the details. We called to confirm with the cake decorator a week or two before the wedding, though, and she had all the information she needed. We had provided a photo, and when the cake arrived, it looked just like I had hoped. We provided flowers to finish it off. It tasted great, and looked wonderful.

The cake design was exactly what we wanted. It was gorgeous. The bakery was very easy to work with. The cake was delicious too!

I grew up going to Hillcrest Bakery to get carrot cakes donuts and other pastry items. It was very special to have them make our wedding cake. They had a great book for us to look through while we enjoyed various cake samples. They let us choose special little designs and called with questions. They delivered and set it all up as well.

Hillcrest Bakery makes beautiful cakes for a much lower cost than most places you will find! Their cake flavors aren't the most creative, so, I was a little worried. But it was SO GOOD! We had a four tier cake and there was nothing left! It was a big hit! I highly recommend them. I know I am going to use them for all other events from here on!
