It was very easy to work with The Hilliard- they were prompt with responses and I was able to stop by and do some planning whenever they were open. The venue is so unique and we fell in love with it due to the open air space and the string lighting options. Our guests loved dancing under the stars!
Venue was aesthetically excellent, however working with the staff was at sometimes difficult. For example, it wasn't until the day before the wedding that we were informed that the DJ couldn't be placed where we had previously agreed. Also, the power went out when the party supplier tried to plug in string lights- the Hilliard's response was to make us purchase a $600 generator. Eventually my father went over and flipped the switch on the breaker which fixed the problem. We were told different things regarding rules and allowances depending on which coordinator we spoke with. All in all, organization was a little lacking, but the venue was still beautiful and we had fun.
Phenomenal experience. Very very pleased with picking this amazing venue for my reception on the biggest day of my life. Everyone said how beautiful the venue was and that it was very different. They lived how it was a modern meets old school look. They said they felt like they were not in Lafayette because it feels as though they were in another place. It was an unforgettable experience not only for me but our guests. I have already recommended this venue to multiple bride to be's.
Lauren was an absolute lifesaver! With our home being damaged in the flood, they helped us last minute turn our disaster into our dream reception with this FLAWLESS and beautiful venue. Highly, highly recommend it and working with her!
This venue is not in the wedding venue business. So there is no wedding coordinator and they were a little difficult to work with in some aspects. For example, there were several contacts for my questions, instead of one employee dealing with all things wedding. That being said, it is an absolutely lovely setting to spend your wedding day. The lighting, pictures, and ambiance were fabulous. I would not have changed my location for the world, but I do not recommend this venue for the bride who wants an easy, all-inclusive sort of venue.
I recently held both my ceremony and reception at the Art Museum. It was just beautiful. We received so many compliments on the venue. The space is so interesting and different. My only complaint would be that the lights in the hall were off all night and we could never figure out how to turn them on. It wasn't such a big deal, but it was odd. Other than that, our experience was perfect.
