za — turned into an experience filled with stress, disorganization, and frustration. I feel it’s important to share our story so other couples can make informed decisions before trusting this venue with their special day. From the moment our weekend began, things went wrong. The coordination we were promised never seemed to exist. Our assigned coordinator, Kelsey, was missing for most of the night, leaving us and our guests confused about what was happening next. We weren’t directed properly for our entrance when the doors opened, and no one was there to guide guests to the cocktail hour or the hospitality suite. The food — one of the highlights we were most looking forward to — was nothing like what we experienced at our tasting. The steaks came out dry and without the promised sauce, and the clam chowder was served cold. When a guest politely asked if it could be reheated, they were told the kitchen was “too busy.” Guests were allowed to change their entrée choices at the table, which caused the kitchen to run out of steak entirely. There were other small but heartbreaking disappointments that added up throughout the night. Our gift bags and itineraries were never distributed properly. Some of our guests received them, and some didn’t. The flip-flop basket sign I had made for our guests was never displayed. The custom dessert boxes we’d designed with care were not put out until nearly everything was gone. The raw bar looked sparse and unappealing, and there wasn’t nearly enough pizza for our 230 guests. Even worse, the hotel experience itself was upsetting. My sister found bugs in her room and when I called to have her room moved they said our hotel is currently “full” I’m not sure we can accommodate that. Guests from our room block were scattered all over the property, despite our arrangements. After the reception, security actually threatened to call the police because we were “too loud” in our own room, celebrating with family and friends after the wedding. At one point, a guest got sick on the floor and staff simply covered it with a napkin, saying there was no one available to clean it up. To top it off, one of the bartenders made sarcastic and unprofessional remarks to my cousin when she ordered drinks, saying, I need a few drinks he replied; “Yeah, I figured,” When she asked if he liked working there, he replied, “Yeah, but not today.” That level of disrespect was the final straw. I’ve tried to find the right words to describe how it felt to see months of planning and anticipation unravel in such a careless way. We invested so much trust, time, and money into this venue — and we were let down on nearly every front. What should have been magical felt chaotic and disappointing. I’m sharing this because no couple should have to experience what we did. Please, if you’re considering hosting your wedding at the Boston Park Plaza, ask every question, demand clear accountability, and make sure you’re confident in the staff’s ability to deliver. I truly hope the management reads this and takes steps to ensure no other bride walks away from her wedding feeling this way.

On the wedding day, Kat was proactive, attentive, and always one step ahead, anticipating needs before they even came up. She made my job as the planner feel effortless because I could trust that everything on the venue side was in the best hands. Her communication was clear and timely, and she always approached things with positivity and genuine care. It’s rare to find someone who balances professionalism with such kindness and grace, but Kat does it so well. I cannot recommend Kat highly enough for any couple hosting their wedding at the Park Plaza. She is truly exceptional, and I’m so grateful to have had the chance to work alongside her.

he wedding ballroom is to die for! Anyone looking for a perfect space for a jaw-dropping reaction from your guests needs not look further for a venue. Many of our guests traveled from far to attend our wedding and all our guests commented on the modern, fashionable, and functional rooms they stayed in. The wedding suite is also very, very LARGE. There is plenty of space to layout all of your wedding day prep materials and plenty of space to pose for pictures with your wedding party. The main event to any wedding is the food. The food was incredible! Everything tasted amazing and the hotel offers a very wide selection of food and drinks. We had some difficulty choosing between food packages and please know that if you ask the hotel for drinks not offered on the menu or you would like to combine options on the menu then the hotel does a great job to accommodate you! This was all thanks to our assigned catering sales manager, Kat Entwistle, who served in coordinating all aspects of our wedding. Kat Entwistle is PERFECT for anyone looking for a detailed-oriented, kind, caring, knowledgeable and most of all fun person to work with. My husband had a specific vision for our wedding and Kat made all of our theoretical designs a reality. From serviette color, to dance floor size, to dramatic entrances, to wedding reception itinerary, Kat was our go-to closest confidant in all of these aspects. There were also many aspects of elegant weddings that my husband and I were not aware of that Kat made known to us. She was extremely patient and informative with showing us aspects that would elevate a detail or make certain moments pop in our wedding proceedings. We also had many open, honest discussions with Kat about how we wanted our wedding day to go, worries we had about potential faults, and overall common anxieties with ensuring a perfect wedding weekend. Kat was always super supportive of us and worked with us to ease our nerves by coming up with stunning solutions and ideas. Kat herself is very professional and extremely timely. With wedding decisions to be made in a few days, an often occurrence for vendors on final decisions, Kat would reply to my emails to her either same-day or within 1-2 days. After a few instances with this prompt service early on in our wedding planning, I came to learn that I could always count on Kat's timely feedback and have discussions with her about her opinions/feedback on how any new choice would impact the overall tone and luxuriousness of the wedding overall. I had 0 anxiety after the first 2 weeks of working with Kat because she proved herself to be highly reliable, organized, prompt, and helpful in all aspects of her work. In addition to helping us directly, Kat was thorough in working with our vendors. All we had to do was give Kat our vendors' contact information and she handled everything else. This was an exceptionally seamless process in having our vendors bring to fruition all of our theoretical planning with them. Kat was amazingly knowledgeable and gave many, many great suggestions that added to the overall elegant feel of our wedding. She was excellent to work with and my husband and I already miss her! The communication between Lizz, Stephanie and the rest of the Park Plaza team was extraordinary; response time was less than a business day (most times instantly) and there was never a moment of confusion or doubt. They were also very accommodating to requests, changes, additions, vendors—everything you could think of when planning a wedding, Lizz worked with us to achieve. Chef & his team also created, presented and cooked such delicious food (our guests are still raving about the steak)! The entire staff, from valet to check-in and beyond made us feel like royalty the weekend of our wedding—it truly was a luxurious stay. expectations. The staff was great to work with to put together our room block and accommodate our guests needs right through the wedding weekend. Most importantly, our event manager, Lizz Tonn, was absolutely incredible. She was responsive and assuring throughout the entire process with everything from planning the venue to the tasting and all of our needs the week of the event. She answered every late night text and panicked email, perfectly ran our rehearsal and kept us on schedule on the day of the wedding. The Plaza has everything you could want for a quintessential Boston wedding, but working with Lizz made the experience a 10/10.

lsey, we were convinced to book. Kelsey is phenomenal at her job, great with answering questions and alleviating any concerns. We had a brunch wedding that was mostly plant-based. I honestly don't know another hotel that would have pulled it off! If we booked outside of a hotel our wedding would probably have been double the price. People were raving about the food! We appreciated the catering staff's willingness to test new recipes for us as well. We couldn't have imagined a more seamless wedding day and are so happy that we booked with Boston Park Plaza.

She played a major role in the success of our wedding and how smoothly it ran. I can't thank her enough for all of her time and effort leading up to and on the day of our wedding. The venue speaks for itself. It is STUNNING!!! We had 280 guests at our wedding and every one of them had so many great things to say about our weekend and venue. We used the Plaza for our rehearsal dinner (Strega), Welcome drinks, reception, and brunch the morning after. We had every event there and experienced NO problems - NONE!!!! Without a doubt have your wedding here and request to work with Lizz because she is the best of the best!

In the sea of small, quaint, tired New England venues, it was so refreshing to find the Park Plaza ballroom. It had the gravity and grand impact we were looking for while not sacrificing personalization, practicality or hospitality. She was attentive to every detail and on the actual wedding day went ABOVE and BEYOND to make the day special and stress free. Lizz even helped save a red wine spill on my wedding dress!!! She is amazing and could not recommend her more. Our guests all raved about the food— it was truly impressive that BPP provided extremely delicious meals for our almost 300 guests! Our guests also can’t stop talking about the “reveal” of the ballroom after cocktail hour. Truly such a beautiful and special place to have our wedding and we will be forever grateful to the staff at BPP for making our day so wonderful!
