As I sit in the hotel room the morning after the wedding of my dreams, I can’t wait to write my high praises for this AMAZING venue!!! They exceeded our expectations tenfold, with ...
the little touches of menus Piper designed, the name tags she carefully curated to match our theme, the extra signage, the beautiful napkin folds, the food, and more. Emily was amazing from the moment I first spoke to her and toured the venue. She was communicating with me through every moment of the process. Karen always remembered who I was when I called and would ask how planning was going. The rest of the staff were all so kind and helpful! The cake was well taken care of, they made sure to check in with us with questions but also not interrupt anything. The personal touches and commitment to us as a couple were impeccable and these people all deserve the highest praises!!
We originally had a different venue booked and when that venue ignored countless emails three months before the wedding, we began a quick but desperate search to find a replacement. Well, thank you, Universe, for creating this bump in the road, because we ended up with the Hilton Garden Inn Freeport Downtown instead!
If you are looking for an all inclusive wedding venue that truly cares about your special day and you as a couple, look no further than here.
Thank you so much!!
Kristen and Tony at The Hilton Garden Inn Freeport Downtown are the best! They were so easy to work with and always responded to emails right away. The day of the wedding was perfe...
ct. The reception room was beautiful and it was like they read my mind and set everything up just the way I had pictured it. The food is phenomenal and all of our guests commented on how good it was. We had both our ceremony and reception at the hotel, which was wonderful. We had our ceremony outside in the park and it was beautiful. Tony worked with us before the wedding and had everything planned out. My husband and I felt so comfortable working with the staff. They did everything possible to make the whole process and streamline and stress free as possible!
Kristen and the rest of the staff at the Hilton Garden Inn did an amazing job with our wedding reception! I was planning my wedding from NC so I met with Kristen a few times, but m...
ost of our communication was over email and she was always quick to respond and answer any question I had come up with. More importantly, the next time we met, she had everything that we had mentioned written down and all set. She was so organized and that made the whole process stress free! They also have packages including the food, champagne toast, some table decorations, etc. which makes everything a lot easier because you have so much less to worry about. On our wedding night, the appetizers were delicious but I was too busy socializing/didn't have much of an appetite for the dinner (which came in massive portions!). Kristen noticed this and sent food up to our room for afterwards! There was also some flowers, champagne, etc. We felt very special and well taken care of! I would highly recommend having your wedding reception at the Hilton Garden Inn!
FANTASTIC Staff, very easy to work with and they include a coordinator for you. Kristen is fantasic and i would recommend anyone to get married at the Hilton.
The staff at the hotel was extremely helpful leading up to the day. They listened to my ideas and were extremely willing to make my ideas a reality, but they also shared their past...
experiences.
They held a tasting where they invited couples in to try the food. They also had other venders they had worked with in the past. I ended up bring in my own venders (not from their recommended list) and they were very accommodating.
All the food at our wedding was hot and well cooked. There were enough options for everyone, and even a kids option that wasn't expensive. My only complaint on the food service end, was the staff cleared our cake off our table while we were saying hi to our guests, and my husband and I never got to eat any of our cake on our wedding day! We decided not to save a topper, so there were no leftovers.
Perhaps the best part about using the Hilton Garden in Freeport was we had our wedding and reception on site, so our guests did not have to travel anywhere. The hotel owns the Old Town Hall, which is on the property next to the hotel. It was perfect as a non-denominational ceremony space and we could decorate it however we wanted. They are also conveniently located in downtown Freeport, but away from the hustle and bustle of Main Street.
A negative for me was there wasn't a spectacular spot to take photographs inside the hotel (we took some in the lobby because it rained). There is a small park next to the hotel which is pretty, but on my wedding day the town of Freeport had filled the park with port-a-potties for an event. We ended up going to L.L. Beans and taking our photos inside there!
Another negative was there was no place provided at the hotel as a "getting ready" space. The groomsmen ended up getting dressed at my parents house, and we rented the bridal suite for the girls to get ready in. That was slightly unfortunate because the room was a mess for my husband and I after the wedding. The bridal suite is very large and it was very quiet on the end of the building.
The reception hall is huge! And because of the construction of the building, there were no ugly pillars or columns throughout the room. It is very open. They got all the linens we wanted for our color choices. The carpet isn't very pretty, but after the tables and the dance floor was setup, you barely noticed the carpet.
Overall, I don't think you can go wrong with using the Hilton Garden in Freeport.
