Hilton Garden Inn Houston/Sugarland

We were originally told we would probably be able to decorate and set up at around 12. 6 days before our wedding we found out they booked another event before ours that ended at 2pm. We were only allowed to decorate ect. at 2:30pm (our ceremony was at 4pm at another location and pictures began at 3pm...) luckily I had a lot of family help setting up, but it all caused a lot of unnecessary stress. We were told we could not change the number of guests we estimated earlier which was fine, but the hotel ended up not feeding some of the children/wedding photographer that attended our wedding... (Each guest, including children/wedding photographer had their name, table number, and food order on a card to indicate what they wanted. The card was placed in front of their place setting.) In addition, I felt like I was pushed towards options that were more lucrative for them and not what I originally wanted. I clearly communicated what I wanted to be offered for drinks, but at our meeting 6 days before the event, something completely different was planned. Bottom line: Another venue would have been better. All the other vendors I worked with were fantastic.
