Wonderful staff, beautiful rooms! We recommend the executive floor!
Gorgeous location. Awesome staff. The guests were raving about how great the food was all through the reception and months after! (Friends and family are STILL telling me how much they loved it!) Being the daughter of a staff member who footed the reception/food bills, I can’t comment on the price, but whatever it was, it was totally worth it!!!
Chris Swetnam was fantastic to work with to plan my dream day wedding!!! He listened to what I wanted and made suggestions to accomplish my vision. His recommendations of vendors was absolutely fantastic. He was onsite the day of to make sure that everything went as planned. The food was amazing and the staff was fantastic! My guests raved about the food and the service for weeks after the wedding. Chris and his team made my dream wedding come true!!!
We got the romance package and it was great. Only down fall....they deleivered the champagne and chocolates at 2am in the morning.
We stayed here on Saturday night (20th November) courtesy of priceline, looks to me like priceline need to tighten their criteria for a 4 star hotel!!
4 Star? You're kidding me, right? More like a 2.5/3 star hotel (at best) charging 4 star prices!!
- $11 Internet fee- $14 self parking fee
- $3 for toast and OJ from the minibar is $5 while a beer is $5.50??
- The pool is outdoor and NOT heated and no Spa - we called the front desk and they put us on hold for a while so they could locate another facility for us. They came back and told us to call the Omni Hotel nearby to see how much it would cost to use their facilities. Surely at a 4 star hotel they should at least offer to call on our behalf since we're paying for every damn thing they could possibly charge for?
- Air conditionner LOUD and can't cool below 70 Degrees - which meant neither I, nor my hubby got a wink of sleep because it was too hot and at 4am he was threatening to go home it got that bad.
- The toilet sounded like a bomb was going off every time you flushed it.
- Thin walls (could hear the adjacent guests tinkling in the bathroom) and dated decor.
My husband and I got married recently, we had just said goodbye to the last of our international guests, we can't go on our proper honeymoon until next year and some friends of ours gave us some cash to book a nice weekend/night in a hotel and enjoy some down time.
Hubby pricelined it, we've never been let down by priceline before and had no reason to think they'd let us down this time. However, for the $80 we paid for this room we could have had 2 nights in a 3 star hotel - we didn't cause we wanted to have the 4 star experience for a night.
We travel quite a lot and I've been in Comfort Inns and Holiday Inns with free parking, free internet, free breakfast which are 2.5 or 3 stars, clean, comfortable and in better condition than this '4 star' Hilton and at least in somewhere like the Double Tree I get those delicious cookies when I check in!
Twice in 2 weeks I've been greatly disappointed by the Hilton chain, not sure I'll give them a third strike!
