We are also one of the few bands who can play rock, soul, funk, 80s & 90s classics as well as Latin music (pop, salsa, bachata, boleros, you name it)
Hip Control is a crew of young, professional musicians from different countries (Argentina, Canada, Mexico, USA) who became friends working in the NYC music scene. We simply love playing music together, getting everyone to move their hips on the dance floor and putting on a great party that will be remembered for years. We will cater our music to your needs and bring our fresh, powerful sound to the dance floor. We love playing weddings and it shows!

BOOK HIP CONTROL NOW! There are wedding bands and then there is Hip Control. Booking them will be the best wedding decision you make (aside from your partner of course). Working with Solange was amazing, she listened to every quirky request and put together a set list that far exceeded our expectations.
From ceremony prelude to the "one more song" chants, Hip Control provided the perfect soundtrack to our day. They delivered a performance that kept everyone on the dance floor, blending familiar hits with unique, rhythmic twists that set the night apart. Their versatility is top notch, from heartfelt ballads, to Motown, providing sound/back-up vocals while my sister took over the mic, to transitioning seamlessly into a classic rock anthem and our requested hip-hop set, they managed to keep the energy high and the crowd engaged. We opted to include the Latin-infused elements and it was a great choice because it added a festive and unexpected layer to the night. It was clear they knew how to read the room, adjusting the vibe to suit the mood of the moment. Plus. they were extremely flexible and accommodating when speeches went out of order and ran long.
The band members themselves were not only talented musicians but also excellent performers. Their interaction with the crowd, their genuine enthusiasm, and their clear love for the music created an infectious atmosphere. Every song felt like a personalized performance crafted for us and our guests... because it was!

Hip Control did an amazing job for us from start to finish. From our initial communications with Solange to the booking process, set list and logistics planning, and their actual performance the night of our wedding. They had everyone out on the dance floor all night and two weeks later our guests are still raving about how great they were. Hip Control set the tone for our cocktail hour and reception and absolutely nailed the vibe we were looking to achieve. Hip Control is the best wedding band. My brother and his wife used them at their wedding in 2018 and when I got engaged I told my fiance we're using Hip Control, there's no other option. They are incredibly talented individuals but when they are all together, man it's a party. Solange, the band lead, is kind, detail oriented, and a fantastic singer. All of the members are great, truly. My family was making comments that they were great at my brother's wedding but sounded even better at mine. Hire them, you won't be disappointed.

Hip Control rocks!
They took our wedding to the next level, they provided us with lovely processional music, with a custom song that they learned for my wife to walk down the aisle too. The Bossa Nova trio during cocktail hour set the perfect tone for the evening. We were, and still are, so impressed by the energy that Solange and the rest of the Hip Control band brought to upstate NY. We danced the night away to disco, pop, rock, and latin music.

The BEST band you will ever find! Hip Control was a dream come true for our wedding! They were the only band that I could find that would play both English and Hispanic music (beyond Despacito). Our guests raved about them and still continue to compliment how amazing the band was! The day of my wedding, I heard them practicing and I couldn’t believe how amazing they sounded! It got me SO excited! They played every single song we requested and went above and beyond for us! They were so accommodating throughout the entire wedding planning process, I would absolutely recommend booking them!

Best band ever! Solange was very detail-oriented, patient and flexible at coordinating. The band really delivered everything and they kept the party non-stop. They also played our first song exactly like how we wanted and played our special requests so well. They even handled some curve balls on the day of seamlessly and smoothly. If you’re looking for a band to play your wedding, you can X out of all of the other tabs in your browser… you’ve just found them!! Hip Control is ELECTRIC. They so thoroughly enjoy what they do and that simply makes it impossible for you not to enjoy their music!
From the very first email I exchanged with Solange she was unbelievably kind, patient, and very on top of things (which, trust me on this, is exactly what you want in all your wedding vendors). She proactively reached out at every turn to make sure she was 100% certain she knew the exact timeline of all of the day’s events so that everything could run smoothly. And it did!
Aside from being a wonderful person to work with, and an INCREDIBLE vocalist, Solange’s joy is infectious so if you’re looking for all the right vibes on your big day, Hip Control is the right choice! She even coordinated with the band to have them learn a song my dad wrote me 20 year ago and play it as a surprise father daughter dance.
As for the rest of the band? Good luck keeping your jaw off the floor as they crush killer guitar solos, harmonize like angels and hit the 5 octave key change in Love On Top.
The only thing I could say at the end of the night was “we’re not worthy!!!” and two weeks later, that’s still exactly how I feel!

As we started planning our wedding reception, we knew that our guests would remember 3 things - the food, the drinks, and the band. When we began searching for bands, we were immediately drawn to Hip Control. Their videos had great energy, we could support the artists directly, and their cocktail hour trio and Latin melody set brought such a unique experience compared to other bands.
Working with Solange was an absolute pleasure. Every step of the way she was courteous, professional, answered all of our questions and put us at ease. We had so many guests the night of the wedding say that this was not your average wedding band - this was a full-on concert! Plus you can tell the band members are having just as much fun as the guests.
We 1000% recommend Hip Control. You’ll have a blast!

Hip Control was incredible - from start to finish, they were a pleasure to work with, and their performance at the wedding was perfect. We choreographed a first dance to a specific song, so we needed them to perform it precisely, and they absolutely nailed it! The music throughout the night captured the energy and tone we were looking for, and got our guests of all ages dancing throughout. Guests still talk to us about the band and how amazing they were, and we get to watch the video of our dance with gratitude that Hip Control helped us out with that. And from first contacting them through the end of the night, they were communicative, clear with their needs, and provided great suggestions. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

The first thing anyone commented on for our wedding was how epic & amazing Hip Control is. The dance floor was full all night long. Solange is super responsive and attendant. I am so happy we went with Hip Control and couldn't recommend them more. They made the party!

"BEST BAND EVER" said everyone that attended our wedding. One person even said to me, "this is my new favorite band. Not wedding band, band." I might even be a little jealous that no one cared about all my insane details because we were all dancing ALL NIGHT. It's a good sign when the dance floor is full before dinner is out, and then continues on for 6 hours straight...
Solange is professional and flexible, and we think it is 100% worth it to hire the full ensemble. You don't need anything else but them.
We plan to throw an anniversary party in 5-10 years just so we can hire them again.

Our daughter and now son-in-law were married at the end of September and they chose HIP CONTROL as their band. They were absolutely fantastic and the party rocked! They arrived on time to set up and were so pleasant and professional. We were impressed at how they did their sound check all around the tent where the party was held. Their voices were fantastic and our guests danced all night. You could just tell the band was really present and invested in the party.
We would recommend them beyond any doubt! They were awesome!!!

The best choice we made in planning our wedding was hiring Hip Control. We opted for a jazz trio during the cocktail hour and a 9-piece band during the party. We absolutely love their sound, and they brought such an amazing energy to the party - our guests were raving about them all night (and have continued to since then!). Solange and her crew are super professional while also being friendly and engaging. They do a great job of customizing their play list to your musical tastes and helping to keep the party running smoothly from one special moment to the next (vows, speeches, dining, dancing). Hip Control was the absolute best decision i made for my wedding! I picked them after researching bands for months, which included several live showcases for me to hear each bands sounds. i knew immediately when i saw Hip Control they were for me.
Musically, they are amazingly tight and sound incredible. what sealed it for me was their versatility. they did latin authentically and of course pop/dance/rock/ballads perfectly.
i would highly highly recommend them for events.
Solange is a great band leader as well as an amazing front woman for the band. my guests were dancing the whole night and everyone loved Hip Control.

I seriously mean look no further for your wedding band needs!! Hip Control is an awesome ensemble who really bring the energy, fun and excitement. Solange, the main director and spectacular performer, was extremely friendly, responsible and flexible to our needs - she made a point to meet with us personally at the beginning of the process too, as she wanted to make sure our experience was unique and personal... and truly delivered! I come from a musical family and having a band that could actually perform well was very important to me, so I searched long and hard for a band that would fit. Most wedding band companies out there were impersonal, didn't let us pick the musicians we wanted, and only cared about making a sale. Hip Control was anything but that; a refreshing choice! Our guests can't stop talking about how much fun they had, and I'm only left feeling sad that I can't relive such a fantastic, truly memorable night! THANKS SO MUCH HIP CONTROL! :)
People cannot stop talking about how incredible Hip Control was. All our guests were totally blown away by how talented all of the band members were. Everyone was dancing the moment they went into the tent.
When we were looking for a wedding band, we saw several that were part of larger companies but we wanted to support individuals directly. Solange was so responsive when we reached out and scheduled a time to meet with us to go over everything. She was on top of everything - set list, song requests, power needs, etc. We felt like we were in good hands from the moment we reached out.
Hip Control learned 3 songs for us and gathered a list of songs that we wanted to hear from their extensive library. We opted for the 10 piece band and there was no song that wasn't incredible. They slayed every single one!
There was a really fun Latin set that everyone got to jam to. There was a wide range of musical types and it was all just such a treat. We are so lucky and happy to have had Hip Control play at our wedding - having a great band is so important and they were beyond anything we could have imagined. Thank you so much!!

Hip Control was the best decision we made for our wedding. I cannot emphasize how awesome they are. The quality of the music was top notch (this coming from two musicians), and they had our guests dancing the whole night! They were also so easy to work with leading up to the wedding. You will not be disappointed if you hire Hip Control!
If you are looking for your perfect wedding band, DON'T LOOK ANY FURTHER! I have nothing but positive things to say about Hip Control. Admittedly, when we planned our wedding, we were living outside of the country and based our selection off of reviews and Youtube videos. We decided to take our chances on Hip Control since Solange was so responsive and understanding, plus the band was full of good reviews. When we were at our reception, we were BLOWN AWAY at how amazing they truly were! Their musicianship is outstanding and of the best quality! The music was so much fun! Nothing beats a real, live band. They changed up music depending on the mood of what was happening throughout the event. My husband is Latino and they played so many fun Latin songs that even my non-dancer American friends were on their feet dancing! We had SO MUCH FUN!! Hip Control was one of the best decision we made for our wedding reception in September 2017 in NYC. Their talent is incredible (special shout-out to Solange Prat and Cenny Ray) and their energy contagious. They sang their signature songs, but were also flexible enough to sing "La Vie en Rose" for our final dance. Our guests didn't stop dancing the whole night - they really did make our reception. Their manager and singer, Solange, was also wonderful to work with, both leading up to the wedding and on the day of. She was very on top of things and worked with us to meet our needs. They are very fairly priced and we can't recommend them enough. So happy we made the decision to have a live band at our reception, specifically Hip Control.

THIS IS YOUR BAND! From the very start, Solange was a pleasure to speak with and coordinate the music for the most perfect night of our lives. We were so lucky to have Hip Control as such an important part of our wedding. We had a soloist for the ceremony, bossa nova trio for cocktail hour, and a stunning 10 piece band for our reception. I have NEVER had so much fun in my entire life. All of our guests, my husband, and I could not stop dancing all night. People were so excited to dance to Hip Control's incredible music and energy that many forgot to grab dessert because the dance floor was just too tempting. They played all of my special requests and made a set list that blew us away. Not going to lie- we had so much fun that we are hoping to go see them play live just to get the chance to dance with them again. There is nothing better or more special at a wedding than a good live band. It defines the entire energy of the reception. Hip Control delivered on that aspect and blew us and all of our guests away with their incredible energy and music. They set the tone immediately with a high energy sound and it lasted until the final song. They aren't that traditional, stiff wedding band - they are cool and fun. They engaged our friends and family the whole night with hit after hit. They even came into the crowd to sing. Everyone was dancing the entire night. With Hip Control, you are getting incredible artists for a reasonable cost.
Likewise, what makes Hip Control stand above the other bands we contacted was their personalization. Solange and Luis are responsive from the initial inquiry. They were flexible and understanding even with our particular ideas and music choices. They created a great playlist and tailored the songs to our vision.
Our friends still continue to talk about Hip Control and without a doubt they were the highlight of the night . We can't thank them enough.
These guys are great. They play great music and keep the energy in the room going. They had everyone on the dance floor and people a few weeks after are still telling us how much of great dance party it was. Also, they are super professional and really well organized in advance so you don't need to worry about them forgetting something once we signed the contract they handled all the coordination w the venue themselves. We are in love with Hip Control! My husband and I are both musicians, so we were looking for quality players and Hip Control exceeded our expectations. They know how to play music with heart and soul! Their repertoire is extensive and allowed us the chance to pick all of our favorite tunes not to mention special songs we requested (songs I had on my wedding list for several years!!). It was a dream come true. We are so lucky we found them. They worked with our budget and they were great at communicating with us. Also, we were blown away by the singers’ voices; they all have these powerhouse vocals! The horn section was also just a joy. We are so happy we got the opportunity to hire Hip Control. I am so happy that I found Hip Control! As a musician, I was looking for a band with professional players who knew how to play the music I loved. In that regard, Hip Control was a musical experience I’ll never forget. In addition to their beautiful playing and voices, they were easy to work with. We gave her general tips on our music preferences and let her manage developing the set list. Her selection and setlist was excellent. They nailed it and had our party dancing and crying with joy. We found Hip Control by sheer luck, but boy did we get lucky! They were an amazing band for us. We hired a full 10 piece band, which included 3 singers and a horn section. We had 120 people at our wedding and we were dancing non-stop. Hip control was great at playing all genres of music, from classic motown records to modern day top 40 hits. The sound was full and all live, they didn't need any backing track nonsense. We went to countless band showcases around town; most felt stiff, like the band was just doing their job. Hip Control is youthful and energetic; they had great stage presence and really kept the party going. We got so many compliments from our guests about the band! We couldn't be happier.
