From the very first email I exchanged with Solange she was unbelievably kind, patient, and very on top of things (which, trust me on this, is exactly what you want in all your wedding vendors). She proactively reached out at every turn to make sure she was 100% certain she knew the exact timeline of all of the day’s events so that everything could run smoothly. And it did! Aside from being a wonderful person to work with, and an INCREDIBLE vocalist, Solange’s joy is infectious so if you’re looking for all the right vibes on your big day, Hip Control is the right choice! She even coordinated with the band to have them learn a song my dad wrote me 20 year ago and play it as a surprise father daughter dance. As for the rest of the band? Good luck keeping your jaw off the floor as they crush killer guitar solos, harmonize like angels and hit the 5 octave key change in Love On Top. The only thing I could say at the end of the night was “we’re not worthy!!!” and two weeks later, that’s still exactly how I feel!

We had so many guests the night of the wedding say that this was not your average wedding band - this was a full-on concert! utely nailed it! The music throughout the night captured the energy and tone we were looking for, and got our guests of all ages dancing throughout. Guests still talk to us about the band and how amazing they were, and we get to watch the video of our dance with gratitude that Hip Control helped us out with that. And from first contacting them through the end of the night, they were communicative, clear with their needs, and provided great suggestions. I cannot recommend them highly enough!

cing ALL NIGHT. It's a good sign when the dance floor is full before dinner is out, and then continues on for 6 hours straight... Solange is professional and flexible, and we think it is 100% worth it to hire the full ensemble. You don't need anything else but them. We plan to throw an anniversary party in 5-10 years just so we can hire them again.

I come from a musical family and having a band that could actually perform well was very important to me, so I searched long and hard for a band that would fit. Most wedding band companies out there were impersonal, didn't let us pick the musicians we wanted, and only cared about making a sale. Hip Control was anything but that; a refreshing choice! Our guests can't stop talking about how much fun they had, and I'm only left feeling sad that I can't relive such a fantastic, truly memorable night! THANKS SO MUCH HIP CONTROL! :)

band, we saw several that were part of larger companies but we wanted to support individuals directly. Solange was so responsive when we reached out and scheduled a time to meet with us to go over everything. She was on top of everything - set list, song requests, power needs, etc. We felt like we were in good hands from the moment we reached out. Hip Control learned 3 songs for us and gathered a list of songs that we wanted to hear from their extensive library. We opted for the 10 piece band and there was no song that wasn't incredible. They slayed every single one! There was a really fun Latin set that everyone got to jam to. There was a wide range of musical types and it was all just such a treat. We are so lucky and happy to have had Hip Control play at our wedding - having a great band is so important and they were beyond anything we could have imagined. Thank you so much!!

reviews and Youtube videos. We decided to take our chances on Hip Control since Solange was so responsive and understanding, plus the band was full of good reviews. When we were at our reception, we were BLOWN AWAY at how amazing they truly were! Their musicianship is outstanding and of the best quality! The music was so much fun! Nothing beats a real, live band. They changed up music depending on the mood of what was happening throughout the event. My husband is Latino and they played so many fun Latin songs that even my non-dancer American friends were on their feet dancing! We had SO MUCH FUN!! They worked with our budget and brought us the best we could ask for. I can NOT thank them enough for their hard work, generosity, quality, and energy. Special shout out to Solange for putting together everything for us and being so organized! GRACIAS!!!!!!! <3

were also flexible enough to sing "La Vie en Rose" for our final dance. Our guests didn't stop dancing the whole night - they really did make our reception. Their manager and singer, Solange, was also wonderful to work with, both leading up to the wedding and on the day of. She was very on top of things and worked with us to meet our needs. They are very fairly priced and we can't recommend them enough. So happy we made the decision to have a live band at our reception, specifically Hip Control.

All of our guests, my husband, and I could not stop dancing all night. People were so excited to dance to Hip Control's incredible music and energy that many forgot to grab dessert because the dance floor was just too tempting. They played all of my special requests and made a set list that blew us away. Not going to lie- we had so much fun that we are hoping to go see them play live just to get the chance to dance with them again. THANK YOU GUYS FOR EVERYTHING and especially for making our Stevie Wonder, Motown, Funk, and Robyn fantasy come true. <3

set the tone immediately with a high energy sound and it lasted until the final song. They aren't that traditional, stiff wedding band - they are cool and fun. They engaged our friends and family the whole night with hit after hit. They even came into the crowd to sing. Everyone was dancing the entire night. With Hip Control, you are getting incredible artists for a reasonable cost. Likewise, what makes Hip Control stand above the other bands we contacted was their personalization. Solange and Luis are responsive from the initial inquiry. They were flexible and understanding even with our particular ideas and music choices. They created a great playlist and tailored the songs to our vision. Our friends still continue to talk about Hip Control and without a doubt they were the highlight of the night . We can't thank them enough.

We went to countless band showcases around town; most felt stiff, like the band was just doing their job. Hip Control is youthful and energetic; they had great stage presence and really kept the party going. We got so many compliments from our guests about the band! We couldn't be happier.
