The Hippodrome’s coordinator Gabby was great. The space was perfect for our rehearsal dinner of 40 people, and we added a live band with plenty of room to dance. Everyone had a fab...
ulous time, and it’s right across the street from two downtown hotels.
The bartender was great, and the only challenge was that there isn’t parking for vendors, so they have to park and unload on the street. They provide linens and tables, which was very helpful. We brought in local catering.
The space is pretty sparse, so we brought out own decorations, and you really can make it look whatever vibe you want as a result.
The only hiccup was that me and my fiance got stuck in the service elevator on the way out while packing up a cart of decorations. The elevator got stuck for about five minutes and wouldn’t open, but the staff at the Hipp got it back open. Surely, they’ll fix this soon.
Working with Gabby was a breeze. We were able to set up a few meetings with her to see the space and for our Caterer to look at the set up before our wedding reception. The side en...
trance to the basement is a little strange but we set up a sign to help direct our guests to the side of the building instead of using the front entrance. We also rented the dressing room which offered plenty of space for the girls to get ready. The House Manager was on location the entire day and was also so helpful and kind. I could not recommend this location enough. We fit 75 guests, a caricature artist, and our musician comfortably.
