Alonzo and the team at Hire a Minister are just as happy to officiate at an intimate gathering of 20 guests as they are at a party of 200 attendees. His services usually last 30 minutes or less, but he is also happy to conduct longer ceremonies. Alonzo understands how important your wedding day is and believes in shaping your ceremony to reflect your love.
The Hire a Minster team offers a range of services to help make your wedding even more memorable. For your convenience, a rehearsal is arranged prior to the big day, allowing you to feel prepared and make any final adjustments to the running order. The team is also happy to discuss traveling out of state for your milestone celebrations and is open to the idea of destination weddings too. Alonzo can cater to an array of religious affiliations and can perform at religious, non-religious, and interfaith ceremonies. Civil union, elopement, or vow-renewal services are also provided.

Mr. Alonzo and his wife Jackie were such a pleasure to work with in planning our elopement to New Orleans on 11/30! We travelled from Virginia to New Orleans for our little elopement ceremony and Mr. Alonzo helped walk us through everything from getting our marriage license on time to locations that were special for me and my husband to have our ceremony at. He made everything as smooth as possible, was incredibly responsive, timely, and extremely professional. I am so happy we landed on him to be our officiant. He made a moment that we planned (very quickly) so special for us! His wife, Jackie, took some lovely photos for us as well! Each time we share our story of our elopement, we love sharing how much we loved Mr. Alonzo! We even had a small crowd gather during our ceremony, which was special and lovely in itself!
I can't recommend his services more. He made sure to take all of our considerations into account, put my mind at ease, and made our wedding so special! If you're looking for the best, look no further.
Alonzo was the perfect officiant for our elopement! I was very nervous about logistics, planning everything in such a short time period…but during our initial meeting with Alonzo over Zoom, he quickly assuaged all those fears! He advised us on where to get our license, how to apply, best spots to have a ceremony in City Park…I felt so much better! He was communicative throughout the entire planning process. Alonzo and his wife, Jackie, met us on time at the designated meeting place, and it was so nice to get to chat before the actual ceremony. The ceremony itself was PERFECT. During our initial Zoom, Alonzo asked us questions about how we wanted to customize it, so the whole experience felt special and just for us! Thank you Alonzo and Jackie! Y’all are the best!
Pastor Campbell, as well as his lovely wife, Jackie, were such a pleasure to work with. They went out of their way to work with us to plan the perfect ceremony that we envisioned. Pastor Campbell listened to our ideas and what we wanted, and also provided unique ideas and suggestions that he had from years of experience. Minister Alonzo was very professional, communicated well and understood the mission from our first conversation. His knowledge of the area venues, connections with other vendors, like photographers, and passion for why we were there, was very helpful, especially with our short timelines.
Mr. Alonzo was receptive and very communicative from the start. He offers phone call meetings, FaceTimes or zoom meetings throughout the process of planning your wedding and he goes over how you’d like your vows done, traditional or non traditional, etc, and makes sure he walks you through the process so that you understand all of your options. He made sure every single time that I was comfortable with everything and was very flexible if any changes needed to be made. He and his wife are an inspiring couple to be around especially on the day of your wedding when you are hoping your marriage lasts as long as theirs! Do not hesitate to book him!

My experience with Alonzo as the minister for my wedding was nothing short of awesome. He was kind and personable and really took the time to get to know me and my husband. He worked closely with us to determine our style and help us to craft the perfect ceremony and vows. Everyone at our wedding loved him, and his wife as well. Mr. Campbell and his wife were very organized and professional. They made the process of receiving our marriage license as easy as possible. The ceremony was amazing thanks to Mr. Campbell. Mr. Alonzo was a life saver! Came well-prepared on extremely short notice. Felt as though God had led us to him. My husband & I do not have enough kind words to say about Alonzo & his lovely wife Jackie. They are an amazing team & beautiful example of what I want my marriage to look like. We spoke several times leading up to our big day. We got to know each other and discuss what we wanted our ceremony to look like. Alonzo provided advice on our vows and instructions on how to obtain our marriage license, and even helped us navigate through some sensitive family situations.

Dr. Campbell was wonderful! My husband and I loved his energy. He officiated our elopement and our postponed wedding ceremony a year later. Mr. Alonzo was AMAZING! He was friendly, kind, and always available to answer questions. He was early to our ceremony and fit in well with our guests. My husband and I are very thankful to him and his wife for their help in making our backyard ceremony what we wanted it to be.
