Melodie is happy to answer questions, and point you in the right direction when it comes to choosing vendors, etc. When she is not here at the venue, Melodie is happiest at home with her husband, two kids, and zoo! (A dog, two cats, and a turtle!)

wedding day, an unexpected storm rolled in 10 minutes before we were to walk down the aisle. Victoria and Melodie sprang into action helping our vendors move our guests, wedding decor, and everything else needed for the ceremony indoors. They gathered umbrellas and ran through the rain, barefoot to escort our wedding party into the dry building. None of us got a speck of water on us while they got soaked.
I cannot express the dedication that Melodie and Victoria showed so that we could have a perfect wedding day! If you have any doubts as to whether or not to book your wedding at Historic Acres of Hershey, I can guarantee that you will get top-of-the-line service and you will be very happy with the venue.

y from the time we booked the venue until our big day. We had our rehearsal dinner at The Coop, on site, and it was perfect for about 35-40 of us to have dinner. We also stayed in The Farmhouse the night before the wedding and the night of which was perfect for the after party and getting ready the morning of the wedding. I could not recommend Historic Acres of Hershey enough!

ion space! We rented the farmhouse as well for the night before/night of the wedding where we were able to keep hanging out with our guests even after the reception was over. The venue coordinators are very easy to work with and were able to help me make last minute changes to the ceremony space due to rain on my wedding day. I had initially hoped to have my ceremony outside by the pond, but due to weather we moved it into the White Barn which was just as beautiful, if not even better due to the cozy, intimate feel. They have a great repertoire of suggested vendors to work with which made event planning that much easier!

We had a last minute change in bartenders and they helped come up with alternate options / guide us as much as they could until we found a new one. We were married on October 31st under the most beautiful and vibrant tree filled with nature and Autumn colors all around. so much trouble finding a wedding venue that fit all of our needs: was naturally beautiful, had indoor and outdoor options for our ceremony, offered an on-site location for both the bride and groom to get ready, and was unique, among other things. Historic Acres checked every single one of those boxes, plus some! They were so helpful and easy to work with, and provided recommendations for the best team of vendors to help execute the most perfect day ever. We received so many compliments from guests on the venue and couldn’t have been happier with how everything turned out. If you are considering booking this venue, DO IT! However, one aspect we didn’t enjoy was that the venue hosted other events the morning of our wedding. We were told those guests would be gone by 2 PM, but unfortunately they did not leave at that time. This delay created a time crunch for my wedding planner and her staff, and I feel that someone from Historic Acres should have ensured those guests departed on schedule so our team could set up without added stress.
Overall, we loved the venue and appreciated Katie’s hard work, but this is something future couples may want to clarify before booking and really look into the fine print.

The pavilion where our reception was held was perfect and spacious enough for all of our 150 guests. Katie and Melodie were also amazing and so helpful leading up to the wedding and the day of. We loved that this venue had so much to offer for all of our guests. Inside, guests could be dancing and enjoying drinks. While outside, guests could be playing corn hole or enjoying the fire pits. Our guests our still raving about this venue and our wedding was a month ago. We highly recommend this venue and it gave us the wedding of our dreams!

. If you are fortunate enough to have your event outside, the flow of the venue is exceptional! What kept us from giving five stars were that the morning/early afternoon of our wedding, there was another event on site and couples touring the venue which took away from our privacy. The contract states the venue is yours after 2pm and you can pay more for it to be yours all day so if this would impact you, I would recommend doing so. We also had to make the decision the day before about being inside versus outside due to a 50/50 wedding forecast which was difficult. Finally, you are not able to store items on site prior to your wedding day. Thankfully we rented a van and paid our vendors more to pack/unpack the van so there was less of a lift for us on our big day but worth noting!

and I knew this was the place. There was no need for the remaining two tours because this was where we were getting married. Coming from an area with a lot of wedding venues and nothing to fulfill my dreams and desires of a perfect wedding space, I was looking for two things. First, climate control! Hello AC! Barn weddings are beautiful, but we all hate them in the Summer, barely able to eat your food because you’re dying of heat exhaustion. Second, natural greenery! Plants and greenery are all the rage right now, but I didn’t want to have to pay for them. Historic Acres has you covered with the most beautiful landscape and ample variety of places on property for pictures. You could not want for more!
Not a single guest had a complaint, with many of them saying it was the most beautiful wedding they had ever been too. Katie and Melodie were incredibly easy to work with and so helpful throughout the entire process. I felt as ease knowing I could step back and everything was going to run smoothly.
We were incredibly lucky to be able to rent the Farmhouse on site for the night before and night of the wedding. We were able to get up on the wedding day and have hair and makeup done on site while enjoying breakfast and getting ready for the day. I could not be happier with how the day turned out.
If there was ONE thing I could “complain” about, it would be the fee for not using a caterer from their preferred caterers list. I understand the reason for having preferred caterers and wanting to ensure the people coming in know what they’re doing and how to use the facilities, I just didn’t understand the cost. We paid it without hesitation, but if there was something I was a little less fond of, that would be it. Everything else was absolutely wonderful!

enue, it’s a stunning property and the staff truly cares about you and your party and is so professional and knowledgeable in their job performance. I recently got married here and cannot recommend them enough. When I first toured the venue with Melodie, I immediately knew I was going to be in good hands with the staff and I wasn’t wrong. From the time I booked with Historic Acres to the day of my wedding Katie was so quick to respond to any email I sent her and the support she provided me throughout the entire process is something I won’t forgot about! This venue is absolutely stunning in person and it’s so clean and landscaping is so pretty. I am planning on renting from this venue again for future events!! so beautiful and there was so much space for us to take advantage of throughout the day. The farmhouse was an incredible space to get ready in and provided a beautiful backdrop for photos. The ceremony space was also lovely and the grass was well managed so no worries for guests walking around. The pavilion has glass doors all around that we were able to open during the reception which allowed our guests to have fresh air and use the outdoor space for lawn games. I could not recommend this venue more!

and beyond, answering all my emails within minutes sometimes. They even allowed us to make many visits to see the venue, including an evening where I could set up my decor and take pictures of how I wanted things to look. They really made all our wishes come true.
The venue speaks for itself....it's stunning. We were very fortunate to have a beautiful June day, but in the event of rain it was very important to us that we had a great backup plan and Historic Acres was able to provide just that. You will not regret having your wedding here.

They were nothing but honest and transparent from the beginning of Covid and took the stress out of the whole situation. When it came down to it, we got the dream wedding we had hoped for and truly could not have done it without them!

and rehearsal. we also had the opportunity to stay in the Farmhouse which was incredible. Bring guests- it’s a HUGE house! Getting ready in the bridal suite was really fun and a beautiful place for my father to come in for his first look. Our guests raved about the entire venue and we loved having both our ceremony and reception in the same location!! Our ceremony was held in the barn which was decorated beautifully by Floral Designs of Mount Joy, and we also hired an instrumental trio for the ceremony. Katie, Melodie and David (our event coordinator with MX2 event design) were all super helpful and made the big day less stressful. I highly recommend this beautiful venue!

We went with Klock entertainment, and Mountain Laurel Catering (which were among their recommended vendors), and David Snook (among the recommended coordinators), and everything went so smoothly! They've clearly done this before and easily handled our hiccups, so I couldn't ask for anything more.

d unique! Katie and Melodie, the staff onsite, are so helpful and attentive! The best part about the venue is that you can everything there-from your rehearsal dinner in The Coop, to staying over in the Farmhouse, and then finally the wedding by the pond, with cocktail hour on the patio and the reception in the pavilion. And, if it happens to rain, there are several backup options that will still provide a beautiful setting! Overall, this place was a dream to have our wedding at! We only wish we could get married again to have another wedding here!

The team at HAH is fabulous and are true professionals, helping with every little detail and making sure our day was absolutely perfect! Our guests were in awe of the gorgeous landscaping and the elegant rustic reception. We wish we could relive this day all over again!

helpful and the grounds are beautifully kept. We ended up having an indoor ceremony due to rain which is equally gorgeous. All our guests were in awe of the chandeliers in the reception barn.
