We worked closely with Historic Columbia's event coordinator, Shelby, to plan our rehearsal dinner and reception at Seibels House. Shelby replied to our questions promptly and clearly, and she was wonderful to work with. She went out of her way to be helpful and was one of our favorite vendors. Seibels was gorgeous inside and out, and we were glad to be able to use the gardens to keep things COVID-safe.
Seibels house was a very beautiful venue. They were easy to work with. The only thing is that they were very strict about cleaning after, which is understandable, however they will easily not give you your security deposit back. Be careful. But still such a beautiful place for a wedding reception.
We had our 170-person wedding at Seibels House and Gardens and it was absolutely perfect for our wedding needs. Brittany was our point-person for all of the planning and she was very helpful in answering questions and planning. The ceremony space was beautiful and easily held all of our guests. The weather was a bit chilly, but many warmed up by dancing under the tent in the garden. Others stayed inside for most of the reception, but there was plenty of room. The vibe at Seibels is romantic, and beautiful and the old house adds an historic touch. We put food in all of the three large rooms which helped disperse the crowd and allowed people to move through.
Our wedding and reception was held here on 8/22/15. It was beautiful and they supply all tables and chairs used on the inside. We only rented what was used outside. Everyone complimented the venue all night and the pictures turned out beautiful. It feels like a charleston wedding but we were in Columbia. Gave a beautiful and historical setting without having to leave our home town to plan etc. great price for Columbia, too. They are easy going in regards to outside vendors too which helped me have the perfect wedding within our budget since I was able to use who I wanted.
Loved working with the rental coordinator for historic columbia, she is very helpful and nice! We had the ceremony by the palm trees and the reception inside the house and on the other garden area. The gardens are beautiful and I loved the outdoor setting!! Having the reception split made things a bit hectic at times, i.e., cake cutting and bouquet toss. But the venue was lovely and worth the cost!
The grounds at Seibels House & Gardens were very well kept. The grass and flowers were perfect. Use of the house on the grounds comes with renting the venue & was great for a plan B in case of rain and for the food setup! The bathrooms in the house were very clean. The value for the money is well worth it. It was much cheaper than many other venues we looked at before settling on it. You can also use your own caterer which is definitely a plus for me! I woud recommend them to anyone looking for a venue!
My reception was absolutely beautiful. Amy and the rest of the Historic Columbia crew were such a delight to work with. They helped me so much! I was a little stressed out a couple weeks before the wedding about getting all the decorations ready to go and they really worked with me to get everything the way I wanted.
