Historic Jasmine

My husband and I had such a blissful wedding at Historic Jasmine. This really is an all inclusive venue!! It is so unique and beautiful. There are tons of different photo opportunities as well as ceremony locations. If you’re a Harry Potter fan, the permanent reception tent makes you feel like you’re at Bill and Fleur’s wedding. The communication with the staff was amazing, and responses were quick to all of our questions. Overall, we couldn’t be happier that we chose Hisroric Jasmine.

The smith family went above and beyond to make this space absolutely beautiful. As soon as my husband and I walked on the property we knew it’s where we wanted to get married. They were very professional and always easy to get a hold of. The venue was the perfect backdrop for our special day and we couldn’t have loved it more.

We immediately felt at ease and connected to the Smith family when we first met with Mr. Smith and son Ashton. We visited the venue for the first time in the winter and fell in love with it; it only got more beautiful in the spring and summer with flowers and foliage in full bloom. The landscape was the perfect backdrop to the creative décor, which allowed for spectacular and enchanting photo ops on our 19-Aug-2023 wedding day, which actually had pretty great weather low 80s and not too humid. We loved the outdoor shed bar and took advantage of booking the 7 suites in the main house for our bridal party, which was very convenient. The suites are adorable, and all of the 6 full baths were stocked with amenities. The coffee and continental breakfast were appreciated the next morning. Throughout the planning process, which I did in just a 6-month engagement period, Ashton was extremely quick to respond to all of my requests and questions, often responding back to me even outside of normal business hours, which I appreciated as that was when I was able to do most of my planning. I truly appreciated that as part of the venue package the Smiths include a lot of the décor items (tables, chairs, etc.) at no additional cost, which really helps with the expenses. While I did rent farmhouse style tables for the reception, the venue's white padded chairs looked great with them, and the Smiths had the chairs and all other venue items set up just as I had laid out in my design plan! My Day of Coordinator said it was a breeze working with them too, though I wouldn’t have known it because they respectfully stay hidden during your whole event. We truly loved our venue and got so many compliments on it; one friend who had been to 7 weddings already this year said it was her favorite venue she’d been to. The only thing that could have been better was payment options. The only online payment had a very high transaction fee associated so opted for the cheaper route of sending checks by mail. They gladly accept this method, which saved me a lot of money, but I wish it was more convenient as my other vendors all had other electronic forms of payment that did not charge the transaction fee. I will say that they are constantly improving and creating at their property so they could have an upgrade to this by the time you are interested in booking. On my first walkthrough of the property, they had just finished beautiful, paved pathways connecting all of the main event spaces near the large marquee tent and two new handicap accessible bathrooms were under construction and completed when I next returned to take more pictures and videos since I forgot to do so my first time there. In summary, the proprietors were fantastic, professional, helpful, kind, and responsive, the venue is breathtaking, and the manor house is quaint and kitschy in the best way. Look no further, this is your place!

They were amazing! I love the different options for ceremony location. They have a list of vendors if you need anything help finding some.

My daughter was married last weekend at the Historic Jasmine and they could not have chosen a more perfect place for their special day!! From the very beginning, the Smith family was amazing. They were there to help every step of the way. The venue was all encompassing. From the cocktail hour outside by the treehouse bar to the big event tent and of course the beautiful Chapel In The Woods. The photos do not do it justice, you definitely need to see it in person. On Friday, we had our rehearsal Dinner and a Night Before Party and stayed the night in the Manor House which made the experience even more special. I highly recommend staying at the house for the full historic experience. Thank you Don and Ashton for making our daughter and now son-in-law's wedding a day they will cherish forever!!!

This venue was absolutely stunningly beautiful! All of my guests couldn’t get over how gorgeous everything was. There is so much space for anything you could imagine! Don and Ashton were also very hospitable and helpful with all questions. They responded quickly and efficiently every single time! I couldn’t recommend this venue enough!

Our experience with the Historic Jasmine was nothing short of a dream. From day one the owners made us feel 100% welcome and the flexibility and freedom to plan our day how we wanted was amazing. They’ve really thought of every detail and there’s not a single spot on the property that isn’t picture worthy. Grounds were spotless and staff were out of sight but available on demand! Truly couldn’t have imagined our day any more perfect and would host our wedding here a million times over!

Historic Jasmine was fabulous. The Smith family were the best. They were attentive and ready to help from the minute you start to look all the way till the following day after the wedding! They provided lots of recommendations for everything that we needed for our wedding. The venue was gorgeous, all the fairy lights gave everything such a romantic feel, and the Chapel in the Woods gave us the rustic feel we wanted, and the wooden cross was beautiful! This venue offers everything you would need for formal weddings to casual. Our ceremony was Celtic and the reception a full out country party. Also, Historic Jasmine offers the 7 rooms in the Manor House for rental. Each room has it's own bathroom, there is plenty of space for the wedding party to dress, and we were able to accommodate all of our out-of-town guests. Historic Jasmine is perfect for all weddings!

The Historic Jasmine Plantation helped us have our dream wedding! They were so helpful with everything leading up to the wedding and went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with everything. Our guests could not stop raving over how gorgeous the venue was. It was truly the best day ever and we owe so much to the Historic Jasmine Plantation! We can’t recommend them enough!

What bride doesn't have a million questions....I think I had 2 million. Don and Ashton, they had 2 million and one answers. They helped every step of the way. They run an amazing business, but they don't treat you like another set of customers, they treat you like friends, like family. They went above and beyond to make the wedding planning process as stress-free as possible. The communication between us, Don and Ashton was on point. They always responded within a timely manner and always had answers. The professionalism of Don and Ashton, and the whole family behind the scenes of Historic Jasmine, is unlike any other. The venue is absolutely gorgeous. We stayed the weekend for our wedding, and it was our home away from home. Us and our guests were well taken care of. The whole experience blew us away. For those couples looking for a venue, you will not be disappointed when choosing Historic Jasmine!! Side note: I lost a blue bird pocket trinket that weekend and they took the time to find it! They held it for me until I could go back and pick it up! They truly, truly care for you.

When we first visited Historic Jasmine a year before planning, I knew we had found the place! The Smith family is so welcoming, and everything about the venue is unique and beautiful! There are different ceremony locations and so many hidden gems on the property. The manor house is full of antique treasures and everything is so elegant. Communication from the start was great, they made sure to reach out and make sure of every detail. We had originally planned for out ceremony site to be at "the chapel in the woods" but when it came to the day, it was raining pretty significantly. The back up plan they had arranged on the terrace was still wonderful and the day was amazing! The family all stayed in the manor house that night, and the next morning we enjoyed breakfast. My five year old daughter said " I wish we could stay here and have the wedding over and over" and I agreed I wished we could! Absolutely the best.

The Smith family was the absolute sweetest through the whole process! They have thought of everything necessary for a successful wedding. Don and Ashton were always readily available for any questions/concerns we had. A storm hit the area the night before and we decided to have our ceremony at the Magnolia Terrace (rain plan) and it was gorgeous! We could not have had such a great wedding without the Smith family!

This place is amazing! We recently celebrated our daughter’s wedding here and it was such a wonderful experience! Not only is this place absolutely beautiful, but it offers so many different landscape options that allow you to capture many different and unique pictures. The owners were also amazing! They were always there to quickly answer all of our questions and attended to all of our needs. We highly recommend this place! Don’t miss out, go see and experience it in person so that you too can see how beautiful it is.

Overall the venue and bed and breakfast was perfect for our event. The staff was wonderful!! It was a really cool 300 year old house. I was a little disappointed in the details. A lot of care and planning went into the location, but it needs some TLC. Two bathrooms had issues and there were some areas that maintenance needs to be done. But it was great for the price. And the couple had a great time. Don was accessible all weekend.

The historic jasmine wedding venue is not only BEAUTIFUL and well-priced, but it was able to hold 250 very energetic guests for our Spring 2022 wedding. More than that, the jasmine team really makes you feel like family when you are working with them. They made sure that all our vendors were well organized and taken care of. They also made sure that everything I wanted (which was ALOT) was met and exceeded. I cannot recommend this venue and team enough. Thank you for making our wedding all it could be. If you're having any hesitation about booking Jasmine, DON'T! My husband and I would give them a higher rating if possible. From the very first time we met Don and Ashton, to the day of the wedding, we received nothing but phenomenal support, communication, and help. The landscape and layout is perfect if you're looking for a one-stop-shop. The house and grounds will have your guests loving the spot just as much as you do. You can't beat the price either considering EVERYTHING thats included in the wedding packages. I wish we were planning another wedding just to have an excuse to go back and celebrate. You won't regret it. We loved every aspect of it.

It was such a pleasure working with the Historic Jasmine from start to finish. My fiancé and I had toured several venues before visiting the Jasmine but very soon after we arrived we knew it was our aesthetic and Don was so relaxed and kind but very knowledgeable as he showed us around. It put us at ease and really characterized the atmosphere of the whole beautiful property, inside and out, and the culture of the staff. There is so much I can say. I believe this venue has really struck a wonderful and rare balance between being customizable with outside venders and the services they provide in house. Amazing value for the price point from the research and tours we did (we probably researched at least 15 venues in the Richmond area). For example. the Jasmine provided ALL the tables and chairs we needed including set up and clean up. We found this to be an incredible service for a venue to provide. It was also very convenient and reasonable to go ahead an rent linens from the Jasmine as well. Then, they do not require the use of certain alcohol so we could bring in our own which was really not as difficult as I thought and it is a great way to potentially save hundreds of dollars. We loved having access to the whole property while we were there and having the option to rent bedrooms overnight. We decided to rent just one room for ourselves on the wedding night so we were able to privately enjoy the property in its morning glory the next day and reflect on the event together. Just perfect. The self serve breakfast that is provided was a treat. The set up and getting-ready part of the day was seamless with two very comfortable upstairs spaces set apart for the bride and groom, and again, the whole home being open to us allowed us to comfortably bring in lunch for everyone helping with set-up to enjoy in the AC. During the event, our guests (about 125) could spread out in the reception and cocktail hour areas and enjoyed access to the whole lower level of the house to cool off as well. Overall, we just felt the Jasmine really knows how to host a wedding well. We felt needs were anticipated and it was such a pleasure communicating with Don and Ashton leading up to the event. They were by far the most responsive vender we employed. I just can't say enough good things about our experience. Thank you so much!

Jasmine Plantation is an absolutely beautiful venue, so many places for really nice pictures. The owner’s are wonderful. Very helpful and accommodating. They provide all sorts of information to help you along on your planning journey. We had a spring/summer wedding, weather was the best. The house is amazing and the beds are extremely comfortable. Couldn’t have asked for a better place to build memories!

The Jasmine Plantation is absolutely stunning. The Smith family is amazing to work with. The venue has several ceremony sites to choose from and everywhere on the property has amazing backdrops photos.

Historic Jasmine was magical and absolutely beautiful! We got married May 7th, the grounds were top notch! We also stayed in the Inn and couldn't have asked for better hospitality. The Smith family is easy to work with and helps with anything and everything! They are very responsive and willing to make adjustments wherever needed. I couldn't have asked for a better venue!! I knew the moment I toured the grounds that I loved the place. 100/10, I highly recommend!

If I could give Historic Jasmine Plantation an extra ten stars, I would!! From our first visit to our wedding weekend, Don and his family were so helpful, communicative, kind, patient, and enthusiastic. We chose every single one of our vendors following Don's advice and they were all phenomenal. Don also made every effort to keep the venue affordable, even when we were renting it for the entire weekend, and went out of his way to accommodate us, down to finding Keto breakfast bars for my crazy diet :) Not to mention, Jasmine is GORGEOUS. Despite rain (which Don was able to easily adapt to), guests are still telling me how much they loved Jasmine and how beautiful the ceremony was (and it was the rain plan!). I would recommend Jasmine without any hesitation.

Working with the Historic Jasmine Plantation was an amazing experience from start to finish! Don and the team went above and beyond in every way imaginable to ensure that we were taken care of and answered all of our questions in a prompt, thoughtful way. I absolutely fell in love with this venue the moment I laid eyes on the stunning florals and all of the scenery. They were absolutely wonderful to work with and so professional. They have two beautiful locations at the venue you can choose to walk down the isle to and they also have a tree bar which I had never seen before. If you’re wondering whether this is the right venue for you, no need to look anywhere else. This is the place to be.

The Jasmine Plantation is beautiful. There were so many picturesque moments that was captured for our wedding ceremony/reception. We had full use of the location and even the bed and breakfast house; my decorator stayed overnight in one of the rooms to set up for the reception. Don the owner was very helpful and attentive in providing meetings, walk throughs and everything that was needed, and some not thought of. Everything was in one location. To sum it up, it was dreamy and a day I will never forget!

Everything about The Historic Jasmine Plantation is so magical and perfect! My husband and I had the time of our life celebrating our marriage with our family and friends. We felt so comfortable and welcomed there from the moment we were greeted at the door by Don. We throughly enjoyed having our rehearsal dinner in the Magnolia room. Followed by me, my bridal party, and other women in my family spending a relaxing night at the plantation. We woke up the next morning to a wonderful breakfast and our hair and make up team arriving. Everything flowed so well in the morning. Our ceremony in the woods at the chapel was so magical and perfect shading to ward off the summer heat. The reception was a blast, the tent is so beautiful with all the lighting and drapery that people couldn’t believe that it was included. The grounds are literally stunning! I am so impressed by how well manifest the Smith family keeps the grounds. I could go on and on about the entire place and how it is truly amazing, but I think the best part was how amazing Don was to work with through the entire process. He was always so quick to answer all my questions and never made me feel bad if I asked the same question multiple times. He really is such a kind and easy going individuals and i could not imagine having anyone better to help make our vision come to life. I will never forgot this special place and pray I get to enjoy another wedding there one day, but this time as a guest! :)

After touring many venue locations, I knew Historic Jasmine Plantation was going to be our venue before I even got out of the car. Don and his family were fantastic to work with from beginning to end! They made planning (and re-planning) extremely easy and enjoyable. The venue itself is absolutely stunning with SO many options for photos, ceremony locations, etc. The property is impeccably maintained and taken care of. The drapes and lights inside the reception tent will literally take your breath away. Our family and guests were blown away. I would recommend Historic Jasmine over and over!

He promptly answered all my questions throughout my year and half of planning and worked very hard to make sure I had the day I imagined. Absolutely amazing people to work with! The first time we visited, my son and his fiance fell in love and we knew this was the place. Don was so nice and answered all of our questions promptly - and we had a lot! Everything was prepped to a T for the rehearsal and the ceremony/reception. We could not have asked for a better place or better people. I highly recommend!!

Oh my goodness - where to start?! My husband and I knew that Jasmine would be the perfect venue for our October wedding within minutes of meeting the owner, Don. He has a true love for love, and it is evident in the work that he and his family put in to this beautiful historic home and its grounds. We had a contract for the entire weekend, and our entire bridal party and their significant others were able to stay at the venue Friday and Saturday night. Anything owned by Jasmine, Don and his family set up and broke down both days (we had our rehearsal dinner on the Magnolia Terrace Friday evening). The "Chapel in the Woods" was the most beautiful location for our ceremony, and the reception tent was absolutely lovely. We had 120 guests, and the reception tent was the perfect size for that many. There are nooks and sweet spots all around the grounds, and our guests loved everything about the venue. We heard nothing but glowing reviews! When we booked with Jasmine, Don gave us a curated list of vendors in the area that they recommend, which was so helpful as we worked through bookings. Getting married at Jasmine is easy, delightful, and full of love. You truly feel like you are getting married at a family home! I cannot say enough positive things about Don, his family, and the venue!

I had my wedding & rehearsal dinner at Jasmine in June 2019 and it was AMAZING. Everything was made so easy through Jasmine, down to renting linens. The chapel in the woods made for breathtaking pictures. The light in the tent made the nighttime reception feel like a dream. I loved having the option to spend the night at the plantation the night before and after. It took the wedding experience to the next level. I cannot imagine getting married anywhere else. I can honestly say that i have nothing bad to say about Historic Jasmine Plantation.

A beautiful venue with multiple ceremony locations to choose from on the property! Beautiful for every season and any time of year! The family is so easy to work with!

Sometimes you just have to go with your gut and book the only venue you’ve seen in person. We fell in love with the place instantly and were told by a family member that she “couldn’t imagine us getting married anywhere else”. Get the full weekend package, you won’t regret it. And BOOK EARLY. I cannot stress that enough. Don, Eileen, and Ashley were amazing people to work with!! And in case I forgot to mention, BOOK EARLY!!!

We recently had a wedding at Jasmine Plantation and everything was so beautiful and truly perfect!! They really went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly for us and we can't thank them enough!! We will forever treasure the memories we made here!

The Historic Jasmine Plantation was the first and only venue my partner and I visited. We both knew that we wanted to be married here after the tour. The grounds are beautiful for an outdoor wedding! The location just fitted my style and vision for our big day. The people at the Jasmine are simply the best. Don and Ashley were always quick to answer any of my questions. I enjoyed all of our small chats every time I had to be there for something. They truly care for their couples and make them feel welcomed! I couldn't thank them enough for all their patience, time and work they did for us. My partner and I got married in October. It was indeed the happiest day of our lives. The venue, of course, played an integral role in making this day so magical. :)

Everything about my wedding at Jasmine was spectacular. My family was all coming from out of town, so many of us stayed at the Jasmine for most of the week before the Saturday ceremony. The staff and the house was incredibly accommodating and comfortable. I could not have asked for a better place to spend quality family time and to celebrate my marriage. What stood out to me the most was how dedicated the Jasmine family was at making sure they catered to our exact needs and vision for the day. Each wedding is different and reflects the couple in a special way. Their dedication to making it unique and personal made a big difference.

From the moment we stepped on the property, we fell in love!! The grounds are breathtaking and the house is spectacular! The owners were very accommodating with everything from allowing as many visits as we needed to organize our plans, to making suggestions on our seating chart! We were able to stay in the house the night after our wedding with our bridal party and it really made our wedding night last as long as possible. After dating for 11 years picking the right venue was huge for us and The Historic Jasmine Plantation could not have hit the mark better! I would highly suggest this venue to anyone looking for an amazing plantation venue!

The best way to describe Historic Jasmine Plantation and the services offered by Mr. Don is AMAZING!!!! First of all the grounds is BEAUTIFUL. The house is so quaint and welcoming. My grandmother sat on the porch for two hours before the ceremony was set to begin. She was enjoying the calmness and quietness of nature. Mr. Don was so great. He was extremely helpful and accommodating. Whenever I came to the venue, he and I would just end up chatting away. He has a very sweet loving spirit. If you are looking for a wonderful venue, take a visit to Jasmine Plantation. I guarantee you will not be disappointed.

My wife and I met at the College of William & Mary, and it was important to us to have our wedding close to “home.” We toured numerous places close to the College and in Williamsburg, but none of them felt “right.” Despite it being a little far from Williamsburg, Jasmine Plantation was absolutely perfect for us. The owners were always responsive to communication, even last-minute emails when it looked like it was going to rain. My wife and her bridesmaids stayed at the Plantation the night before the ceremony, and it was incredibly convenient for them to get ready in the same place they had stayed the night before. Jasmine Plantation had everything our vendors wanted – refrigerator and kitchen space for our caterer, excellent lighting and locations for our photographer, and plenty of parking for our guests. We also used a shuttle service to transport guests from the ceremony to the reception, and Jasmine was more than happy to accommodate two 29-passenger vans. The majority of our guests spent the evening outdoors on the terrace or under the tent; but having an indoor, air-conditioned area in addition to the outdoor space was absolutely crucial for our June wedding. The tent was beautiful, and there was more than enough space to accommodate our guest count (approximately 100). The venue also had sufficient electrical power and outlets to accommodate a live band, and the brick floor was sufficiently raised off the ground to ensure that a summer rain shower would not inundate the dance floor.

The perfect venue with plenty of picture perfect places, rain options, room to get ready and sleeping arrangements. It was a beautiful place to host a wedding and the staff made sure we had everything we needed, as well as recommended some great venders!

We used Jasmine Plantation for our full wedding weekend. Our package included use of the property for our rehearsal, rehearsal dinner, ceremony, cocktail hour and reception. We were even able to have our engagement pictures there. There are TONS of beautiful photo opportunities here! It was wonderful to not have to travel between locations for the weekend for us and our guests, and all the staff was extremely helpful in answering our questions and making sure that our wedding was everything we wanted it to be. The property is absolutely STUNNING and the owners really make you feel special the entire time.

This venue was absolutely perfect for our wedding! My husband and I wanted a venue that was low key and down to earth and fit in our budget and the Jasmine Plantation met all our needs. The owners are fantastic and Kayla the Event Planner was fantastic! The hospitality we received was great. We especially liked the plantation because they have a secondary location onsite in case of bad weather for our ceremony. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!
