The landscape was the perfect backdrop to the creative décor, which allowed for spectacular and enchanting photo ops on our 19-Aug-2023 wedding day, which actually had pretty great weather low 80s and not too humid. We loved the outdoor shed bar and took advantage of booking the 7 suites in the main house for our bridal party, which was very convenient. The suites are adorable, and all of the 6 full baths were stocked with amenities. The coffee and continental breakfast were appreciated the next morning. Throughout the planning process, which I did in just a 6-month engagement period, Ashton was extremely quick to respond to all of my requests and questions, often responding back to me even outside of normal business hours, which I appreciated as that was when I was able to do most of my planning. I truly appreciated that as part of the venue package the Smiths include a lot of the décor items (tables, chairs, etc.) at no additional cost, which really helps with the expenses. While I did rent farmhouse style tables for the reception, the venue's white padded chairs looked great with them, and the Smiths had the chairs and all other venue items set up just as I had laid out in my design plan! My Day of Coordinator said it was a breeze working with them too, though I wouldn’t have known it because they respectfully stay hidden during your whole event. We truly loved our venue and got so many compliments on it; one friend who had been to 7 weddings already this year said it was her favorite venue she’d been to. The only thing that could have been better was payment options. The only online payment had a very high transaction fee associated so opted for the cheaper route of sending checks by mail. They gladly accept this method, which saved me a lot of money, but I wish it was more convenient as my other vendors all had other electronic forms of payment that did not charge the transaction fee. I will say that they are constantly improving and creating at their property so they could have an upgrade to this by the time you are interested in booking. On my first walkthrough of the property, they had just finished beautiful, paved pathways connecting all of the main event spaces near the large marquee tent and two new handicap accessible bathrooms were under construction and completed when I next returned to take more pictures and videos since I forgot to do so my first time there. In summary, the proprietors were fantastic, professional, helpful, kind, and responsive, the venue is breathtaking, and the manor house is quaint and kitschy in the best way. Look no further, this is your place!

was amazing. They were there to help every step of the way. The venue was all encompassing. From the cocktail hour outside by the treehouse bar to the big event tent and of course the beautiful Chapel In The Woods. The photos do not do it justice, you definitely need to see it in person. On Friday, we had our rehearsal Dinner and a Night Before Party and stayed the night in the Manor House which made the experience even more special. I highly recommend staying at the house for the full historic experience. Thank you Don and Ashton for making our daughter and now son-in-law's wedding a day they will cherish forever!!!

The venue was gorgeous, all the fairy lights gave everything such a romantic feel, and the Chapel in the Woods gave us the rustic feel we wanted, and the wooden cross was beautiful! This venue offers everything you would need for formal weddings to casual. Our ceremony was Celtic and the reception a full out country party. Also, Historic Jasmine offers the 7 rooms in the Manor House for rental. Each room has it's own bathroom, there is plenty of space for the wedding party to dress, and we were able to accommodate all of our out-of-town guests. Historic Jasmine is perfect for all weddings!

We stayed the weekend for our wedding, and it was our home away from home. Us and our guests were well taken care of. The whole experience blew us away. For those couples looking for a venue, you will not be disappointed when choosing Historic Jasmine!! Side note: I lost a blue bird pocket trinket that weekend and they took the time to find it! They held it for me until I could go back and pick it up! They truly, truly care for you.

ul! There are different ceremony locations and so many hidden gems on the property. The manor house is full of antique treasures and everything is so elegant. Communication from the start was great, they made sure to reach out and make sure of every detail. We had originally planned for out ceremony site to be at "the chapel in the woods" but when it came to the day, it was raining pretty significantly. The back up plan they had arranged on the terrace was still wonderful and the day was amazing! The family all stayed in the manor house that night, and the next morning we enjoyed breakfast. My five year old daughter said " I wish we could stay here and have the wedding over and over" and I agreed I wished we could! Absolutely the best.

s. A lot of care and planning went into the location, but it needs some TLC. Two bathrooms had issues and there were some areas that maintenance needs to be done. But it was great for the price. And the couple had a great time. Don was accessible all weekend.

The house and grounds will have your guests loving the spot just as much as you do. You can't beat the price either considering EVERYTHING thats included in the wedding packages. I wish we were planning another wedding just to have an excuse to go back and celebrate. You won't regret it. We loved every aspect of it.

we knew it was our aesthetic and Don was so relaxed and kind but very knowledgeable as he showed us around. It put us at ease and really characterized the atmosphere of the whole beautiful property, inside and out, and the culture of the staff. There is so much I can say. I believe this venue has really struck a wonderful and rare balance between being customizable with outside venders and the services they provide in house. Amazing value for the price point from the research and tours we did (we probably researched at least 15 venues in the Richmond area). For example. the Jasmine provided ALL the tables and chairs we needed including set up and clean up. We found this to be an incredible service for a venue to provide. It was also very convenient and reasonable to go ahead an rent linens from the Jasmine as well. Then, they do not require the use of certain alcohol so we could bring in our own which was really not as difficult as I thought and it is a great way to potentially save hundreds of dollars. We loved having access to the whole property while we were there and having the option to rent bedrooms overnight. We decided to rent just one room for ourselves on the wedding night so we were able to privately enjoy the property in its morning glory the next day and reflect on the event together. Just perfect. The self serve breakfast that is provided was a treat. The set up and getting-ready part of the day was seamless with two very comfortable upstairs spaces set apart for the bride and groom, and again, the whole home being open to us allowed us to comfortably bring in lunch for everyone helping with set-up to enjoy in the AC. During the event, our guests (about 125) could spread out in the reception and cocktail hour areas and enjoyed access to the whole lower level of the house to cool off as well. Overall, we just felt the Jasmine really knows how to host a wedding well. We felt needs were anticipated and it was such a pleasure communicating with Don and Ashton leading up to the event. They were by far the most responsive vender we employed. I just can't say enough good things about our experience. Thank you so much!

Don also made every effort to keep the venue affordable, even when we were renting it for the entire weekend, and went out of his way to accommodate us, down to finding Keto breakfast bars for my crazy diet :) Not to mention, Jasmine is GORGEOUS. Despite rain (which Don was able to easily adapt to), guests are still telling me how much they loved Jasmine and how beautiful the ceremony was (and it was the rain plan!). I would recommend Jasmine without any hesitation.

Don the owner was very helpful and attentive in providing meetings, walk throughs and everything that was needed, and some not thought of. Everything was in one location. To sum it up, it was dreamy and a day I will never forget!

so comfortable and welcomed there from the moment we were greeted at the door by Don. We throughly enjoyed having our rehearsal dinner in the Magnolia room. Followed by me, my bridal party, and other women in my family spending a relaxing night at the plantation. We woke up the next morning to a wonderful breakfast and our hair and make up team arriving. Everything flowed so well in the morning. Our ceremony in the woods at the chapel was so magical and perfect shading to ward off the summer heat. The reception was a blast, the tent is so beautiful with all the lighting and drapery that people couldn’t believe that it was included. The grounds are literally stunning! I am so impressed by how well manifest the Smith family keeps the grounds. I could go on and on about the entire place and how it is truly amazing, but I think the best part was how amazing Don was to work with through the entire process. He was always so quick to answer all my questions and never made me feel bad if I asked the same question multiple times. He really is such a kind and easy going individuals and i could not imagine having anyone better to help make our vision come to life. I will never forgot this special place and pray I get to enjoy another wedding there one day, but this time as a guest! :)
