We got married here on May 2nd! Kristin and her team are super responsive and helpful. It was beautiful and went off without any issues!
We loved London Town! Incredibly beautiful and versatile with multiple ceremony and reception options. Kristin was so helpful and kind every step of the way.
We saw 7 other venue...
s and non compared- it's also surprisingly affordable. We also got married on a Sunday before a holiday and still got the Sunday price. I highly recommend London Town to every couple!
The only downside is the bridal suite is small and you can't get ready on site - there are tons of hotels nearby though.
This was the absolutely venue of our dreams for our May 2024 wedding! It’s obviously gorgeous and had so many different beautiful areas for photos and guest to enjoy. Kristin was g...
reat to work with, very responsive, and really helpful whenever I got overwhelmed or had questions and needed suggestions. I felt very supported but also given plenty of space and time when I needed it.
We really enjoy visiting London Town (even though it’s an hour from where we live) because it’s so peaceful and scenic. We were already sold after the tour and speaking with Kristin, but being able to include our dog in our ceremony and cocktail hour really sealed the deal! Wedding venues are so expensive in general, but I found them to be reasonable and it made me happy to know it was supporting a historical site and museum. I really cannot recommend London Town enough and all of our guests are still raving about it!
Photos are by Christa Rae Photography, who was also a dream to work with!
This venue had all of our guests in awe with the incredible views & picturesque landscapes & gardens. Even better, the staff was professional and easy to work with. Kristin origina...
lly walked us through the property and helped us throughout our entire wedding planning process. You could tell she is passionate about her job, the property, and the couples that get married there. It was an easy yes for us. Throughout the planning process the venue made renovations we weren’t even expecting that made the property even more magical. If you are looking for a beautiful outdoor/waterfront venue that offers professionalism, ease of planning, great communication and genuine interactions, Historic London Town is your venue. We seriously couldn’t have asked for a better day and feel so lucky that we chose London Town for our special day!
Kristin was great throughout the entire process and very responsive. The gardens were absolutely beautiful and we were both calm on the day off despite the rain threat because of t...
heir "plan b" weather plan. At the end of the evening, Robin was very helpful in packing everything up for us and making sure we weren't stressed. Couldn't have asked for anything more in a venue.
London Town was a dream of a venue for our wedding. The grounds are absurdly gorgeous, well managed, and versatile. We walked away with photos in gardens; overlooking the South Riv...
er; in front of a colonial brick building; at the end of a dock… all of which are stunning.
We were fortunate enough to have beautiful weather on the day of our wedding, so we held our ceremony outside on the river deck and hosted a cocktail hour that allowed our guests to roam about the lawn and gardens and inside the equally beautiful indoor pavilion. There was so much for our guests to look at and take in—in fact, most said they wished our wedding had been even longer, so that they could explore more of the grounds. That’s always a great thing to hear! Even if the weather had been poor, I know our guests would have had just as lovely of a time inside the covered tent, deck, and pavilion.
We held dinner and dancing in the tent. Even though we had to pull the sides down because it got a bit windy, it was still utterly gorgeous. The temperature inside the space was perfect, and the look of the tent was sophisticated, too. The walls have clear areas where you can look out right onto the South River, so there were beautiful sights to behold in every corner of the tent.
Kristin DeMarco, the venue coordinator, was just as fabulous to work with. For 14 months, she offered clear answers and advice to all of our questions. She also provided us with a brochure that listed a plethora of preferred vendors for all sorts of fields; we ended up choosing most of our vendors from that list, which gave us a lot of peace of mind that we had gone with vetted vendors who knew the venue well already.
London Town was the perfect (not to mention convenient) location for our wedding. We are elated to have chosen it.
Historic London Town is the most beautiful venue and Kristin is such a joy to work with! We could not have asked for a more beautiful venue and are so grateful we found HLTG! Would...
highly recommend taking a look!

r years. We could not have asked for a better venue. The staff was very attentive and helpful.
We got married at London Town in 0ctober 2022. It is breathtakingly beautiful by the water, and the gardens are so lush. They have beautiful lush trails, perfect for photo spots. K...
risten was great with communication and quick to answer any questions. Venues maximum is 300 people. We had 125 people and were able to have everyone outside under the tent for our dinner. Dance floor was inside. You can’t have open flames or sparklers on property. Venue is pet friendly for ceremony. They have an approved caterer list that can be pricey. We ended up paying about $65 per person not including alcohol. Overall it was the perfect place for our wedding. Perfect mix of modern and garden atmosphere. They also have beautiful twinkly lights hung out in garden at night!
The perfect venue. I couldn't have asked for better! SO BEAUTIFUL. The house, the gardens, the water... My only regret is that there was no time for people to walk around the groun...
ds and enjoy the full experience of London Town. But Kristin was fantastic to work with and very responsive. It's expensive! But for us it was totally worth it. At first I was worried about having dancing in a separate space from dinner, but it turned out to be perfect. I've never been at a wedding where people dance as much (although our awesome playlist helped that too!). My only real complaint would be that the bridal suite doesn't have much to it, but that was fine because I spent zero time in it anyways. All in all, a really wonderful experience and the perfect setting for one of the best days of my life.
This venue cannot be beat. It truly has it all- a view of the water, beautiful gardens, historic buildings, and indoor pavilion with pretty twinkly lights, and a tent also with gor...
geous up lighting. There were also so many different options for how we wanted to organize the venue in our own unique way.
We ended up having a large 250 person wedding in May and it went flawlessly. We had the ceremony in the river deck, the cocktail hour in the main lawn by the river deck, dinner under a rented tent in the other lawn, and dancing under the provided tent. There was a view of the water during all parts of the wedding and it was GORGEOUS.
Kristin is the venue coordinator and she was AMAZING. She replies to emails so quickly and is able to help you with just about any question you have. She meets with you a month out from the wedding and helps ease all your concerns about the big day. This venue is very much so a “build your own adventure” kind of venue, which scared me a little, but Kristen, our day of coordinator, and the caterer worked as a team to make sure everything went perfectly!
After the wedding we rented a bus to get to downtown Annapolis for the after party, so we also loved how close it was to DTA. FYI- some people had to call an Uber at the end of the night and the Ubers to downtown we’re VERY expensive at that time for some reason. Just something to consider.
Overall it was insanely beautiful, it can be customized to whatever you want, and Kristen is amazing. Couldn’t have picked a better venue!!!!
I could not have picked a better venue for my wedding. It has everything - gardens, riverfront, history! The dance floor is the perfect size for a 150 person wedding. The team is e...

to get married outside. Had the weather been not outdoor friendly, we would have been perfectly comfortable with the pretty indoor space as well! One of the best parts of London town is their Event Director, Keara. Keara was incredible to work with – she is awesome, extremely responsive, and helpful in ways I didn’t even know I needed. She was quick to answer questions and provide suggestions. Our wedding definitely would not have been as successful without her! We knew what to expect leading up to the wedding (month-out meeting, rehearsal) and the day of (rain/cold plan, noise ordinances, etc) as everything is clearly put in the contract and if we had any questions/concerns/comments, Keara was always ready with a fast response! :)

dn't they had a plan in place for rain. From our first venue walk through to the day of, I could not recommend Historic Londontown and Gardens more!
Historic London Town and Gardens is a beautiful place to get married! My husband and I took many trips to the venue during our year of wedding planning and it was beautiful in all ...
seasons. We loved all of the different backdrops for photos. The brick of the William Brown house was sophisticated, the waterfront and dock offered a beach-like feel, the Lord Mayor's tenement and the carpenter's shop provided a historic/rustic back drop, and the gardens offered a woodland fairy tale scene. We chose this venue over other outdoor venues because it has a beautiful pavilion (complete with hardwood floors and big windows) that could be used for the ceremony if it rained. The white reception tent had beautiful chandeliers and twinkle lights, and was spacious without feeling too big for our 70 guests. The bridal suite was really cute as well and great for photographs before the wedding.
Keara always responded promptly and kindly to all emails, even when they were frantic and at 9:00 PM on a weekend. Keara sent us a list of preferred vendors after we signed our contract, which was a very helpful starting point for finding other vendors. We used it for our alcohol provider, bridal party hair and makeup, cake, DJ, and dance floor rental.
London Town requires you to pick from a list of their caterers, many of which were expensive. We eventually decided on one that was within our budget and the food was amazing, but that was stressful at the beginning. If you are going to dance in the tent, London Town requires you to rent a dance floor, which is an additional expense. Many wedding parties use the pavilion for the dance floor and the tent just for dinner, but we didn't want to separate our older, non-dancing guests from the group. Additionally, there wasn't a good spot for the groom to hide out before the wedding, which made it challenging to make sure that my husband and I didn't run into each other before the ceremony.
The positives far outweigh the negatives and we were thrilled with our experience at London Town!
We got married in October and loved Londontown! The property is beautiful with the gardens and being waterfront! Everyone raved about how beautiful the gardens were and the whole v...
enue. We had our ceremony and cocktail hour outside and our dinner under the tent. We used the pavilion for dancing, I loved the set up. It felt so open yet easy to access everything and practically no one was sitting at their table after dinner. Keara was wonderful to work with and got back to me very quickly with any questions I had. She also recommended many of my vendors! Londontown was wonderful and I would recommend it to anyone looking for an outdoor wedding venue in Annapolis!
I really loved my ceremony and reception location. Keara (director of events) was incredibly thorough during the pre-planning and planning process. Every question I had, no matte...
r how minute, was answered quickly and professionally. We did run into a problem with construction on one of the buildings on the property Approximately 8 weeks before our wedding, I saw on Instagram one of the buildings (that is one of the centers of the venue and one of the reasons we chose this place was because of beautiful the stone building was) absolutely covered in scaffolding for an extended and comprehensive construction project. We were incredibly frustrated because we were not made aware of this even being a possibility and because we found out over a social media platform. We emailed in our concerns and they were addressed immediately and professionally. The weekend of our wedding (was told because of other raised concerns) the scaffolding was removed - which was appreciated. The woman we worked with during the duration of our wedding planning was NOT the person on site during our wedding. I was told the purpose of having someone from events on property during the wedding was on behalf of the venue - not to serve as a wedding coordinator. We knew that the person we worked with (Keara) may not be the person on property during the wedding. We were okay with this and understood the role this person plays the day of an event. However, we never met the person who was on property - he/she never introduced themselves. I would have appreciated meeting that person as some point just as a "hi, I am (this person)." During the reception, one of the flaps of the tent kept flailing which proved to be pretty distracting. One of the things we loved most about this venue was the ability to make our wedding truly our own. The space really lends itself to be transformed uniquely for each wedding - which was exactly the vibe we were looking for. Being on the water was also a real treat and the trees in the fall were beautiful. I do recommend this venue - despite some arguably small mishaps.
Historic London Town and Gardens was an amazing venue for our June wedding reception. The venue is gorgeous, surrounded by tall trees, beautiful flowers, along with the backdrop ...
of the South River. The garden is perfect for wedding photos. Keara was amazing and helpful from the beginning when we started planning up until the day our wedding. I would highly recommend Historic London Town and Gardens!
We had our wedding in the beginning of June this year, and we're SO thrilled we chose London Town! My #1 fear for the wedding (even moreso than rain) was that we would get a stifli...
ngly hot and humid Maryland summer day. Of course, that's pretty much what happened (high of 97. Ugh.). But! London Town saved the day! We thought we were going to have to have the ceremony inside (which would have been really disappointing), but because of the breeze from the water, the shade everywhere, and the AC blasting inside, we were able to make it work outside! Yes we were a bit hot, and the wedding party did have to dip inside sometimes to cool down. But it didn't take away from the day at all, and everything still turned out amazing.
Also, as anyone who lives in Edgewater could tell you, traffic can get REALLY bad during rush hour once you get off Rt. 50. It was one of my major concerns, especially because we had a 5:30pm ceremony on a Friday. We told all of our guests to arrive early (and told them about the pub right outside London Town's entrance), and not a single guest was delayed. Score.
Leading up to the wedding, the Event Director was always super responsive and helpful. Like all the other reviews on here say - feature-wise, this location has it all. All of the guests loved it, and our photos look straight out of a fairy-tale. And with the complimentary membership we received for getting married there, we can't wait to go back and relive all those memories!

emailed her so many times I’m sure she got sick of me but she was polite and answered me quickly and was always willing to help! Gorgeous venue! Must go see it! The sunset photos on the dock are to die for.

t away. It made for such beautiful and incredible pictures too! Keara and her staff were wonderful and so easy to work with, and made sure that everything was set and ready to go for our special day!
Beautiful venue! We had it all - indoors, outdoors, water, pier, woods. Beautiful surroundings for a wonderful night!
I got married in early April and the garden was still beautiful. This venue was perfect for what I was looking for. It could accommodate all 130 guests, and up to 160ish. I needed ...
to use my rain plan because of 40 mph winds, but it was still beautiful because of their indoor reception space. What I love about this place is you are the only wedding happening for the whole day. Guests can leave their cars overnight and roam the property. The only thing I would have loved is to extend the time, but the venue has a strict 10 pm end time to accommodate neighbors that don't like the noise. All in all, Keara was a great person to work with and was as helpful as could be! I highly recommend this venue.
Great venue, great location, great staff and amazing experience! Even in the middle of summer this venue was beautiful and gave me my perfect garden wedding setting.
We looked at a few reception locations in the Annapolis area, but when we visited London Town we knew that it was our venue. It's no wonder why this place fills up so quickly! We r...
eally loved the atmosphere and historic nature, and that it was situated right on the water and with acres of flower gardens. It was also nice that it had parking! Since we were planning an October wedding we were unsure about what the weather would be and I wanted to make sure I would have options. London Town has a building and tent onsite in addition to their beautiful grounds. I worked with Shelby throughout my planning process and she was very responsive and made sure to give notice for anything that may be due and to answer anything that I had questions about. A week before the wedding Shelby worked with my planner and myself to make sure everything about the layout for the day would be set up perfectly. Everything went very smoothly on the day of and everything was right where it needed to be. The day was a beautiful day in October so we were able to utilize the gardens for cocktail hour and the tent and building for dinner and dancing as it got a bit cooler. The view made for a gorgeous backdrop as well! I'd highly recommend booking your venue at London Town!

gan to pour after cocktail hour, photos, and dinner were completed so we were safe inside the main hall. The new tent that was installed around April 2014, came in handy with all the rain when the flaps were taken down. It made the porch and tent a great place for people to still hang out in regardless of the thunderstorms outside. If you're looking for a venue that is beautiful, historic, and holds up well in bad weather than Londontown is your place.
Though Londontown is a great venue, the old Director of Events, Jean, who was a gem to work with was replaced by Adrianna right before our wedding. Adrianna works for both Two Hands Studios and Londontown, so it is difficult to reach her in a timely fashion. On two separate occasions it took us 2-3 weeks to hear a response from her on important matters regarding the walkthrough with the caterer and questions and signings regarding the liquor license. But when she did finally reply she was helpful and organized.
My wife and I looked at many potential locations for our recent wedding. We were looking for a place to have both the ceremony and reception at, preferably something on the water....
We knew we'd found the perfect place when we visited Historic London Town and Gardens. It was only a fifteen-minute drive from Annapolis, had plenty of space for anything we wanted, and even has its own gardens out back. Best of all, the view of the water was amazing.
We had the ceremony in the main field, where there is a raised platform perfect for the minister and wedding party, with a clear view of the water behind it. We took our wedding party photos on a nearby pier that's very close to the main area that offered an amazing view of the setting sun. There was plenty of space for guests to wander about the gardens both before and after dinner - which is why we didn't need to bother with more flowers, since there were already so many growing naturally. It also had a very spacious interior area where we had our dancing and sundae bar.
The local ordinances did require that the wedding finish at 10pm, but that wasn't a problem as we had an after-party at our hotel's bar. All in all, London Town and Gardens is a beautiful place that we cannot recommend enough. And if you're interested, I'd suggest going there to look at your earliest convenience - we waited over a year and a half to ensure we got the date that we wanted, since it books up quickly.

Great Location and Beautiful views of the river. Jean Shea was amazing in her responsiveness to emails and in helping organize the event. Would definitely recommend it.
Lovely place for a day wedding, wonderful view and the people in charge is nice and full with details.

s outdoors so you can enjoy being outside even longer. It is true that you only have 8 hours which includeds 3 hours for set up, 5 hours for your event, and 1 hour for clean up. I found that to be fine. The night went by so fast I wish there was more time but everything went perfectly. Jean is amazing and will work with you for whatever your needs are. She makes sure everything is running smoothly and her people were great during the wedding. She just recently got more rental items so that makes things better. I would not try to cram 150 people into the tent. I had 102 people at my wedding and I probably could have had 120 fit really nicely.
The other great thing about this site is you aren't tied into a caterer or alcohol. Jean had her list of approved vendors but she is willing to work with you and her vendors are amazing so there is almost no need to go off her list. I thought the price was fair considering you are renting the location.
Everything was amazing and this is the best location to get married.

om for dancing. It worked out perfect and there was plenty of space for everyone. We had a last minute call on having the cocktail hour inside due to weather and it worked our perfect. The grounds are so beautiful and there are so many unique spots to take wonderful pictures. We even had flowers in March since it had been such a mild winter. The tent was just beautiful, and the indoor room had recent painting and renovations that look amazing. Jean is very responsive and knowledgeable to help with any questions you have as well as recommending vendors that fit best to the venue. We could not have been more happy with our choice of Londontown and highly recommend!!!
The grounds and setting are beautiful. The outdoor tent is large and ideally situated by the water. It is a magical outdoor venue with unlimited photo op spots. HOWEVER, beware...
- the 8 hr contracted length includes vendor set up, decorating, breakdown and clean up. Management is rigid and displays concern for policy and procedures period. We were mislead on more than one occassion and the management team created undue friction with our vendors. Dispite a monsoon like rainstorm the day of our wedding, there was zero concern or accommodation for anyone including the bride during the arrivals and parking process. We found that in working with the management, they were abrasive with our vendors and communication overall was dissatisfying. For a small local venue, and for the price, we would have expected a higher degree of customer service than what we experienced.

er than just some wedding company. Jean is awesome - super friendly, flexible and responsive through e-mail and helpful (my wedding was on a Sunday and she got us some lanterns from the Friday and Saturday wedding for free).
Beautiful venue. Reasonably priced. People are nice to work with. Our wedding this September was perfect!

ally liked the setup of dinenr under the tent outside by the water and then dancing inside in the air conditioned room. The space was perfect for us and we had 130 guests. The gardens are gorgeous and great for people to walk around and explore especialyl during cocktail hour. Soooo many great places to take pictures! I highly recommend this spot for your wedding. ITS Breathtaking!!!!

ed to match your theme. It was very nice to have our dancing in the indoor pavilion and allow family to talk quietly in the outdoor tent. The pavilion would also make a great indoor ceremony option if it rains. During cocktail hour, they can supply a guide to give tours of the historic home. Many of our guests really enjoyed the tour and it was something fun for people to do while we were having pictures taken.
It had both an outside and an inside. The gardens and the waterside view were beautiful. Children could run around outside and people could dance inside or stand on the porch.;The ...
temperature inside could get a bit warm if you have more than 50 people, and the dance floor is a bit small if you hire a band.
