We can't recommend the Historic Marysville General Store enough! We looked at four other venues before we found the Historic Marysville General Store, and we wish we had found this place first. To start, the interior is spacious and beautiful. We had plenty of room for the ceremony, dancing, caterers, and dinner, and the window front offered some gorgeous views down the valley. The venue offered plenty of easy parking for us and our guests and was easy to reach.
The exterior is photogenic and so well kept. We had two gardens available; one for our caterers to set up in, and the other for lawn games and outdoor seating, and the entire area around made for good photos for our wedding party. The views around the valley are unreal, and the venue had a ton of extra decor and amenities to help us with the wedding setup.
The owners, Scott and Sonya, were incredibly helpful with everything and couldn't have been more professional in everything. Thanks to Sonya for all her ideas and help, and Scott for officiating our wedding and all his hard work!
When looking for our venue, the Historic Marysville General Store stood out to us because of its beautiful setting, the generous hosts, and the included camping & lodging options. Sonya and Scott were helpful, flexible, and fun to work with. They had a binder of recommended vendors for all of our wedding planning needs, and Scott did a wonderful job as our officiant. The venue and parking space were great for our party of ~200 people. Our big day could not have been more perfect for us. Thank you!!!

Our Historic Marysville General Store is in the quaint historic gold mining town of Marysville. We are in our 12th year of hosting guests! Our 1898-era stone building is restored with original and replica fixtures and includes 2 spacious rooms connected with an arched doorway; the ceilings are 14' (feels like 20'!). A beautiful back bar on the historic saloon side is a perfect place for your bar services or even cake and gifts and dancing! Our venue can seat ~125 people inside and our garden areas and boardwalk can be used to support additional guests. We can host up to 300 with outside areas during warmer months. Shuttle busses are encouraged. Our north Opera Garden has a beautiful rock arch with a 12'x30' patio area. Our lawn areas for your beautiful ceremony location options include those with lilacs, a willow tree, rock arch, use of the wood arbor, secluded forest settings, and just unique 'ghost town' buildings. You can feel history around you in our beautiful mountain community.

Use a caterer of your choice, hire a food truck, or make this a family potluck! You have so many options available to you.
Our packages come with the option of using our two homes. The Willow House/Lodge has a very large lawn, beautiful views, and you might see a deer, squirrel or other visitor! It has 3 bedrooms with queen beds, sleeper sofa, full size kitchen, with dining room, laundry room, spacious family areas, 2 full sized baths, wrap-around deck, and is off the IT grid (though you can enjoy the library of dvds on the tvs). The Silver Creek Cabin is in a secluded area with a more private fenced yard, private decks to watch the day go by, 3 bedrooms (1 with king bed in master bedroom, 2 with queen beds and the loft has 2 singles), 3 bathrooms, spacious living / kitchen / dining areas, internet TV, wifi, pool table / bar, and laundry room.
We have indoor and outdoor areas and you can use our venue for rehearsal dinner, ceremony, reception, through to gift opening and final farewells. Choose your caterer, DJ/band, and bar services of choice. We are open year-round and are on a paved county road. Surrounding gardens offer extended outdoor adventures for games, event areas, and general enjoyment. The surrounding area is BLM (public land) with plenty of opportunity for outdoor adventures such as hiking, biking, snow machining, picking huckleberries, gold hunting, etc. Our venue provides with you a comfortable setting; whether you have a vintage or modern theme. We work closely with the community of Marysville and are currently honored to offer the use of the historic white Catholic Church (now non-denominational) for your ceremony. It was built and used before Montana became a territory! Wed at the church, ring the bell, and celebrate at the General Store!!!

Sonya's love for Marysville originated from summers in grade school, living in the mountains near here. Scott began his love for Montana through attending Montana Tech in Butte. Both are engineers and have worked internationally. They live in Butte where Scott is a professor and Sonya is involved with coaching student engineers; both are involved with several non-profit organizations. 40+ years ago their wedding celebration was at Marysville House and Frontier Town; they want you to have a great start to your future!
