rsonable people we’ve ever met, something that we found is very rare when it comes to wedding vendors. Chad and Hannah the coordinator at Historic Whitewood made our whole wedding planning process super seamless and easy. You can tell they are both super passionate about making your wedding day the best day of your life. They went above and beyond our expectations during the planning period but also on wedding day. Both Chad and Hannah personally checked on both sides of our bridal party multiple times during the morning while getting ready and made sure we had everything we needed and more. I truly trusted that they had our best interest in mind and that allowed me to relax and not have a single care in the world on my wedding day other than marrying the love of my life. If something didn’t go according to plan, neither of us had any idea because they handled things so effortlessly and seamlessly. We both felt so much love and genuine joy from the whole Historic Whitewood team on our wedding day and left feeling like we had been a part of their family. Even our guest felt the love from their entire team. We could go on and on about how amazing our experience here was but there is not enough words or time to truly describe how amazing this place and their people are. We are so grateful we had our wedding in a place so so special, it’s something we will cherish forever. If you are considering booking Historic Whitewood, do it and don’t look back. It will be the best decision you make!

Every detail was carefully thought out. We had some unseasonably cooler temps with some rain but out came the tent and the space heaters and an indoor component. . We barely noticed the weather. The grounds are beautiful and you feel a world away from Richmond. If I wasnt already happily married, I would consider the Historic Whitewood for my wedding venue. The beauty of Powhatan is evident everywhere and despite the historical ambiance of the venue, no modern convenience was spared. Just an epic party and a fantastic place with considerate and thoughtful owners and managers.

arah and Chad both have a servant’s heart and are true to their word to help you create the dream you have in your heart. The accommodations were warm, intimate and scenic. Plenty of room for getting ready on site with special features and room for family to stay overnight. The event was beautiful - I can’t wait to attend another.
