Hubert and Alka did a PHENOMENAL job photographing our wedding day - we just got all of our photos back and we are obsessed!! Leading up to our wedding, they were so easy to work with, incredibly helpful and just overall very kind. On the day of, they kept us on track (we were running behind schedule) and made sure we still got every photo we wanted and made it in time for sunset portraits. Hubert and Alka were amazing to work with!! They were prompt and very kind when responding to emails and answering questions. We decided not to do an engagement shoot so the first time we met them in person was the day of our wedding and they instantly made us feel very comfortable! They are so accommodating and are very good at what they do! They got phenomenal candid shots but were also great at quickly explaining to us how to pose for some perfect wedding portraits. They also knew where the lighting and shadows would be good/not so good based on the sun. It is clear they have a lot of experience in wedding photography. We got a "sneak peak" of over 40 edited photos sent to us in less than a week, which was amazing so we could quickly order personalized thank you notes. We are so so happy with our wedding photos, they came out so beautifully!! Hubert and Alka are truly so talented. They did a fantastic job, you will not regret going with HK Photography!

Hubert and Alka photographed our wedding last month and we cannot say enough good things about them. We expected to get good photos, but never expected every single photo to blow us away. My husband and I found HK Photography while looking at tagged pictures of our wedding venue on Instagram. I was immediately blown away by the stunning photos I saw posted on their account which lead me to check out their website and email them to set up an appointment to further discuss their wedding photography services. During our first meeting with Hubert, we was kind, welcoming, professional and extremely knowledgeable. We discussed what my husband and I had envisioned for our wedding photos as well as our engagement shoot. Hubert immediately began brainstorming locations, figuring out the time line and all the important logistics of the day before we even agreed to have him and Alka shoot our wedding. We loved how invested he was in our wedding right from the moment we first sat down with him. Before we left, we knew we had found our photographers. We first met Alka the day of our engagement shoot. Like Hubert, she was kind, welcoming and knowledgeable when it came to capturing the perfect shots. Despite feeling nervous about having our pictures taken, 5 minutes into the shoot both she and Hubert made us feel completely at ease and comfortable by chatting about our interests and joking around between shots. Alka & Hubert complement each other perfectly, they have a unique eye when it comes photography. While you are smiling at one of them behind the camera, you’ll notice the other in the background capturing another stunning angle of the same photo. This technique leads to some funny competition between them both, but leads to a breathtaking product. When we received our engagement photos we were in love! (AND STILL ARE) Looking through the pictures caused us a bit stress as the next photo better than the last, we couldn’t decide on which shot to use for our save the dates, which ultimately lead us to choosing two different save the dates to send out to our guests. Between our engagement shoot and the wedding day, we stayed connected with emails to know when the “next steps” would be. Prior to the wedding we had a phone conference with Hubert during which we went over the timeline as well as the questionnaire which was sent to us prior to our phone call to ensure all of our “must have shots” would be captured. The day of the wedding Hubert and Alka did a phenomenal job blending into the background when necessary to capture candid photos. As well as gathering all of our wedding party and family members for posed photos. Throughout the day they made sure to keep all of us on schedule while rolling with unexpected wedding day surprises that came up. Just like they eased our nerves at our engagement shoot, they did the same for all of our friends and family members. We have heard numerous compliments about them since our wedding day from many people about how kind and talented they were. By the end of our reception we felt like they were two of our friends celebrating with us that day not just photographers. Our wedding photos surpassed our expectations. We still hear about how beautiful the photos came out. HK photography’s style is modern yet classic and elegant. When you look at other photographer’s style you might notice some trends that are a little dated, but with HK when you look through any of their posts, their photos remain timeless. Thank you Alka and Hubert for everything. We are obsessed with all of our photos. Working with you was a dream and we are so lucky to have been able to have you capture our story.

Hubert & Alka - You both are amazing and have most definitely found your calling. Such an EPIC dynamic duo. The day of our engagement session the forecast flipped on us and was a rainy hazy mess. We had already traveled in the night before from NJ so we decided we would take our chances and make the best of it. As much blog digging I did prior to our session I had fully trusted that Hubert and Alka would create a beautiful session regardless of what mother nature handed us. AND that they did. As soon as we got into our car we knew that the photos would be epic. We had such a good time with these two; they are an awesome duo. They took turns with shots and directed us the perfect amount. The first sight of our blog post we were both in such awe. We already had known they would be great, and that indeed they were GREAT! I can't begin to say enough amazing things about Hubert & Alka. They shot our wedding in June and did an amazing job. Their passion for their business, their clients and their work is so obviously seen in their photos. Hubert & Alka are amazing photographic artists! They truly love what they do, which is reflected in their photography - each image of which is truly a work of art! They were very responsive to all my questions, and due to their many years of experience, they were able to give me a lot of suggestions/direction. We did an engagement session, which was a great way to get comfortable in front of the camera prior to our wedding day. Hubert and Alka are simply amazing! This husband and wife duo truly know how to make picture magic. They were on the preferred vendor list from our venue. After a little social media research I noticed they also did my sister-in-law's wedding. She raved about them and their work. We met with them in Aug 2015 and we booked them immediately. They truly made the planning process fun and easy. We did an engagement shoot at Waveny House in New Canaan, CT. It was a great way to get to know Hubert and Alka and how they work and how to act during a photoshoot. They answered emails and phone calls in a timely manner. The day of the wedding, 8/6/2016, they arrived on time and ready to roll. Hubert and Alka have a calm presence about them and during a stressful moments, ie: large family photos, they keep things moving in a timely fashion. You can tell they have a true love for what they do and it shows in their work. It's almost as if Hubert and Alka work in the shadows. They are never in your face & you wouldn't know they were there, but they pulled off amazing photos. I recently got the email of blogged photos, which they also do for the engagement shoot. My husband, our famillies and myself could not be happier with the photos. This is only a sneak peak of all the photos taken. Ive looked at these photos dozens of times and I am still giddy looking at them. They also recommended our videographer, Matt VanNess from MV Film Productions. They have worked with Matt at a few weddings and they work extremely well together. I would also highly suggest MV film production for videography. Definitely look in to HK photography, you will not be disappointed.

HK photography is the vendor I have recommended most strongly from our wedding. Hubert and Alka are gifted photographers who made us feel at ease from our first meeting at their home until the end of our wedding day. They were always responsive to our questions and suggestions, and on the wedding day they made sure they got every shot that was important to us. Furthermore, they came in with a clear plan and vision for how to shoot us and our wedding party in a unique and beautiful way. My husband and I are typically uncomfortable in front of a camera, and HK worked hard to put us at ease, with results that definitely show in the pictures. Many guests have spontaneously brought up how lovely the pictures are, and we have gotten a lot of joy from reviewing them and feeling the narrative of the day. During the day, Hubert and Alka were always professional. They were direct but extremely polite when shooting and interacted very well with our families. They were discrete as well, they did not interrupt important moments but were still able to capture each one. They also had a great rapport with other vendors and our site coordinator. Finally, they are both really lovely, pleasant people. You will spend a lot of time with your photographer at your wedding so I would recommend finding photographers as affable and professional as HK so that the photography adds to the fun and excitement of the big day. Especially impressive features of this vendor: - Competitive, clear pricing and all of the digital prints will belong to you - They stay for the whole event - No upselling on prints or other products - RAPID TURNAROUND. Our engagement shoot was blogged in two weeks, with full photos within the month. Our wedding was blogged within THREE DAYS and full portfolio was available within ONE WEEK.

Hubert and Alka are absolutely perfect at their jobs. They made sure to get all the information they would need for the day of well in advance and adapted well to any changes needed. Every picture we asked for we got and their work is stunning! I could not be happier with our photographer choice!

My husband and I have worked with Hubert & Alka on three different occasions now and their work and shooting style is truly the best. The reason we booked them for our wedding day is because we were fortunate enough to see their work for my brother's wedding. However, their style is so natural and they both have the most wonderful personalities that everyone around them is able to relax and enjoy themselves. They do not miss a thing and capture every moment of the day. Hubert and Alka of HK Photography did such a wonderful job with our wedding photos. They really captured our joy in the day! The were very professional and friendly and put us at ease. All the details of the day were so beautifully photographed from my shoes to the up close details of my dress. At the church and during the reception they captured all the moments in an unobtrusive manner. Within 2 weeks we our first look at some of our photos and they were truly stunning! We couldn't have been more pleased and highly recommend them!

When it came around to choosing photographers for our wedding day, the decision was easy. My sister chose HK for her wedding, as did many of our friends so we had tons of sample work we'd already seen and LOVED. Working with Hubert and Alka on our own wedding day was amazing. A friend of mine had used HK for her wedding and had loved them and her photos, so when we got engaged they were the first people we called. After our initial meeting with Hubert & Alka my groom and I were sold on having them shoot our wedding. Not only was their work great, but they were both so friendly and easy to be around. For our engagement session in October they followed us around scenic hometown spots to get some really nice shots of us as our casual selves. It was a great way to get to know them and get comfortable in front of the camera. On the big day, they had a plan for most shots but were flexible if we had ideas along the way, they were friendly when gathering and arranging our families and they were so unobtrusive that our guests don't even remember seeing them during the ceremony or most of the reception. We just got a batch of teaser photos from the wedding and we love every single one! We look really natural in all the pictures, but at the same time we felt and look like super models. Hubert & Alka captured the joy of the day in their photos and we can't wait to look back on the pictures to relive the fun for years to come! I highly recommend them!

What a spectacular team! Hubert and Alka are totally up to snuff on everything photography related and what wonderful people. Our date was this July, had a perfect day, and they totally delivered. From the moment we met them at local Starbucks, they have been nothing but friendly, professional, and spot on. Their pictures were AMAZING. There were so many good ones to choose from and we felt very at ease with their whole style. We got so many compliments on our pictures and we will treasure them always. Many photographers have skill, but Hubert & Alka bring something special to the table. A+ for service, product and professionalism. The best!

From the first day we met them, Hubert and Alka blew us away with their photos. They were so easy to get along with, and had exactly the same vision as we did. We couldn't begin to say enough wonderful things about HK Photography. Prior to meeting them, We would have thought it was odd to think that a vendor/photographer would have such a positive impact on our wedding day, however, Hubert and Alka provide services way beyond their perfect vision through their lenses. The two of them are the most genuine, kind, and easy to work with people we have ever met, which added an even deeper level of enjoyment to our day. It was clear they came to our special day with a plan; everything they had us do, every pose they had us make, and every venue they had us stop at had a purpose. Not a single part of the shooting felt like a waste of time or hassle. The still photos, to us, were the most important part of the day, and Hubert and Alka (Hubert with the Girls and Alka with the Guys) made sure that each memory, each act of anticipation, each emotion felt was captured leading up to and during the big day. Then the pictures came - INCREDIBLE. You don't realize how much you miss throughout the day, but the way Hubert and Alka focused on details of the event and venues, while simultaneously capturing the event at large was absolutely breathtaking, and really allow us to relive the event every time we look at our photos. The best part of it all was we have every single candid shot we could have thought of wanting, but don't remember seeing the two of them at all except when they were the last two who left our reception. They are not in any way invasive to the night, but somehow find a way to capture every moment that we would have wanted. Beyond their ability to artistically capture the event so terrifically, they do understand and value the "traditional wedding shots" that are those important keepsakes. We provided them with a "Must have shot list" and they carried it around with them until the last shot was had. Which proves, that although they are true artists, and have a vision for the day and an eye for the unique and artistic shots (along with the classics), they will always make sure that the bride and groom's wishes are taken care of, and that the day remains about the couple. We honestly can never leave them out of the conversation of what we enjoyed most about our wedding, and through our extensive research, know that they offer a service that is well above and beyond the industry norm. Anyone choosing HK Photography has taken the biggest step they can toward a PERFECT Wedding Day.

Hubert and Alka of HK Photography were a pleasure to work with. They kept the mood light throughout the day so that is was like hanging out with friends during portrait time. They were so unobtrusive that most of the day we didn't even notice them.
