Maria of Hlavacek Florists of Glenview was the perfect choice for us! Her expertise matched my daughter’s vision perfectly! Our fabulous experience with Maria at Hlavacek florist began when we walked in the door to inquire rates and offerings. Maria sat down with us and walked through our wedding, our ideas, and her suggestions. Not only was she professional in her approach, but she also offered guidance from her many years of experience that proved to be extremely helpful. We were able to come in under our initial budget and the flowers were absolutely stunning. Each bouquet and boutonniere was crafted with care and artistry, and has lasted well past the wedding day. Maria personally delivered all flowers to our venues and helped get everyone all set. We were so grateful for Maria’s hard work and dedication, and would recommend Hlavacek to anyone!

We worked with Maria at Hlavacek. We chose her because she had these beautiful silver candelabra centerpieces with 4 tea lights and a vase for flowers that I couldn't pass up! She was also the only florist we met with who actually listened to what I wanted instead of recommending what she preferred to do. She gave great suggestions and in the end provided truly stunning flowers that I was very happy with! She treated us like family on the day of our event - she brought the flowers (it was a holiday, not sure if that was ordinary!), stuck around for our reaction, made sure everything was set up properly, took photos of us with our flowers for her portfolio, and was so caring - make sure I was doing well, asked if I needed anything, and hung out for a little bit! It was great! The only thing I will say is that... Maria is an artist. She can create BEAUTIFUL floral arrangements for your wedding. However, the business end of it is not her 'strongest' point. I had to ask her for a typed up contract/agreement - and then had to ask her to correct it to make sure it reflected everything we spoke about. I am stickler for things in writing (once you've been burned before, you learn!) and she was more relaxed about it. However, like I said, the flowers turned out BEAUTIFUL and I would work with her again in a heartbeat!

Our reception hall recommended Maria at Hlavacek and we decided to contract with her after our first meeting. Maria is great - she is super sweet, helped me A LOT with ideas because I really had no idea what I wanted or what I needed. The finished product was amazing. I couldn't believe how beautiful the centerpieces looked - it was exactly what she had described to me and I LOVED IT. I will say, however, that she can be pretty hard to get a hold of between the time you give her your first payment and anytime earlier than a few weeks before the wedding. Pretty expensive too - we ended up paying around $4500 for a 150 guest wedding with 15 tables. They were beautiful though. If you're okay with kind of just letting her take care of things and trusting that she's doing it right (and are willing to spend some money), then I'd totally recommend her.

They did a gorgeous job on our flowers. Plus they make sure up until the beginning of the reception that everything stays perfect with your flowers. The vision that I had in my head was what exactly they gave me.
