Hoboken Latin & Ballroom is a wedding dance studio in Hoboken, NJ. The studio is a warm, welcoming place where couples receive the expert support needed to make the first dance of their wedding a truly magical experience.
Hoboken Latin & Ballroom is led by professional dancer Uros Dekic. Uros began his dancing career at the age of 13 before competing in Serbia, across Europe, and US. The expert dancer has experience coaching in Latin styles, including salsa, swing, rumba, and cha-cha. Uros also teaches ballroom, waltz, and tango, giving couples umpteen variations to choose from for their milestone event.
The dance instructors have experience teaching couples of all levels, ranging from beginners to advanced. Hoboken Latin & Ballroom is open from 1 pm-10 pm, Monday-Saturday, and can offer flexible hours for private lessons at the couple’s convenience. Nearlyweds can also avail a free trial group class to get a feel for the space, the instructors, and the choreography.

k to create a wedding dance routine to our choice of music. He has strong technical skills and so dedicated to his craft! He was always honest, offered feedback, support, and motivation. He was also so intuitive to my needs and my fiancé’s needs! Not only did he teach us both individual dance skills, but he also taught us how to dance as partners, so that our routine was smooth and complimented each other’s skills.
He was also so patient and so energetic to work with. Together, we created a beautiful routine to wow our friends and family! I would say coming to his classes was the best part of our wedding planning process. Don’t walk, but run and book him ASAP to get a dance routine for your wedding. You will be glad you did. The skills and experience you will learn from him can be applied to all the parties you attend! He’s an amazing instructor! I will definitely post some photos/videos of our dance routine at our wedding once we receive them.

uggle until we decided to go with Uros as our dance teacher.
Uros taught us how to relax before dancing and how to surrender to the music and rhythm, and in doing so, to be well coordinated. Thanks to Uros, our guests were in awe, and after watching the video of our first dance, so were we.

nal, and skilled at teaching us the steps we needed to know for our big day. From our first lesson, we felt comfortable with him. The studio itself is beautiful and welcoming, with plenty of space to practice and great music to dance to. Our lessons were always fun and something we looked forward to each week. I highly recommend this studio.

nal, passionate about dancing and teaching, flexible with scheduling, and meets you where you are at any dance levels. We are both extreme beginners when it comes to dancing, but we wanted to have a beautiful first dance that would be fun and also impressive to our guests. Uros taught us from the basics and within 10 lessons, we were able to finish the full choreography that we love. We're having a few more lessons to perfect our moves before the big day, but that's our preference. He has been consistently open to what we want in our dance while also helping us set realistic goals so that we don't feel overwhelmed. We cannot imagine preparing our first dance without Uros's help, because he has made this process so much more fun and seamless than we had anticipated. He is amazing, and we will definitely refer him to our friends when they get married!

Hiring Uros as our dance instructor/choreographer prior to our wedding was one of the best decisions we made! I think dancing for non-trained dancers can be quite intimidating, but...
Uros made it very easy for both me and my husband from the beginning. He has a wonderful personality and is super easy and fun to hang out with, it almost didn't feel like we were taking dance lessons. He worked with us to choreograph 2 separate dances (one slow and one fast), which we were super happy with. You honestly cannot go wrong by hiring him for your pre-wedding dancing needs.
