On top of being phenomenal photographers and capturing everything with a beautiful and unique view, they are sincerely the nicest people. We connected with them immediately on our first call and we were genuinely excited to work with them throughout the process. They had the best attitudes with our many obstacles: our engagement shoot was during the Canadian wildfire smoke last summer and our wedding day had remnants of Hurricane Helene. For example, Tony’s pre-first look checklist saved me from walking out without my earrings on. Amy similarly saved the day when she swiftly resewed on a button to a groomsman’s tux jacket. our engagement. Photography was very important to us. We wanted photographers who could capture our day in a unique, authentic, artistic, non-traditional way. After reviewing the Hoffer's portfolio, we were already sold. Their images exceeded anything we could have ever envisioned painting stories in such a unique way. Then we had the pleasure of meeting Tony and Amy, and from that moment, they became our forever friends. They are people you simply don't let go of. They were so personable, natural, and their kindness, energy, excitement, and investment in getting to know us as people, understanding our vision, and learning our story, sealed the deal. We are not big fans of being in front of the camera. We often feel uncomfortable and unnatural, even though we've mastered the art of the selfie. Originally, we weren't planning to do engagement photos, but after meeting Tony and Amy, we quickly changed our minds, and thankful that we did. Tony and Amy suggested the most beautiful and perfect location for this shoot. They made us feel comfortable and like ourselves. Most importantly, they spent quality time with us—four hours of quality time. We never felt rushed and felt like their top priority. It was like walking around a huge park with a group of friends, laughing, and taking such unique and creative pictures. Tony even climbed a tree to capture a picture that replicated one we loved from their portfolio. Then came the first of many times Tony and Amy left us speechless. They sent us our engagement photos -they were perfect. They were pure, they were natural, and they were us. They captured our vision in EVERY. SINGLE. WAY. We went from not enjoying being in front of the camera to eagerly looking forward to our wedding day, knowing that Tony and Amy would be there to work their magic once again. On our wedding day, Tony and Amy were simply incredible. They were able to capture moments that we didn’t even know existed and they were the best ‘flies on the wall’ to capture our day in the most organic way. They stood in the freezing rain with us, laughed with us when we shot champagne right at them, their cameras, (and in Tony’s eye) instead of to the side of them, and placed their bodies in the most awkward and uncomfortable positions just to capture our day in the most artistic way. Their ability to tell our wedding story through their lens was nothing short of magical! Every glance, every simile, captured perfectly. They were with us from the early morning excitement as we got ready, to the heartfelt ceremony, the joyous celebration, and the romantic moments shared. Their presence was calming and reassuring, and their creativity knows no bounds. The way they captured not just images, but emotions and memories, was awe-inspiring. Then there is the turnaround time of our images that was astonishingly quick. We received our sneak peak in just a few days which was more than a little preview and included 70 breathtaking photos! The rest of our gallery arrived just 2 weeks later. If you are looking for photographers who have an unwavering talent, are whole-heartedly invested in what they do, and genuinely wonderful and kind human beings, Tony and Amy are the ones to choose. we were both mentored by Tony and Amy, separately, long before we even met each other. These wonderful and talented people have had a huge impact on our photography, our businesses, and our lives long before we hired them to photograph our wedding. Originally we wanted them to come to our wedding as guests, but after looking at other photographers from all around the country, we ended up coming to the conclusion that we wouldn’t be happy with anyone BUT them photographing our wedding. On the wedding day, Tony was with me for getting ready, and I’m not entirely sure how a 6’7” tall man could go unnoticed most of the time. My only theory is that he can actually turn invisible. The biggest compliment that I can give is that I was able to be fully present with the people I love and the photos reflect that feeling completely. Amy was with my husband and she captured some truly beautiful layered compositions of the whole family at his parents’ house and the chaos of a house filled with love. Our portraits are stunning and capture the genuine love we have for each other as well as creative shots that can only come from the mind of Tony Hoffer. I am so happy we have these photos to relive the best day of my life forever. My only regret is that we didn’t get to have Amy and Tony *IN* more of the photos as friends <3

them! Their style is so fun, and they somehow capture the important small moments, even when you don't realize they're there. But on top of being great photographers, Tony and Amy are really, really good at helping to manage the day. They were calming when the situation called for it, but were also able to wrangle our rather large families into portraits in a timely manner. My partner and I are not normally very comfortable in front of the camera, but Tony and Amy helped us feel natural during our first look. The only place where they could improve is with the photo booth. The attendant was not as enthusiastic or detail-oriented as Tony and Amy, and the guest book and props did not get put out until later in the evening. However, the photos we do have are amazing. And Tony and Amy are SPEEDY. We had a preview in 3 days, and the full set of photos in 3 weeks. We would absolutely hire them again.

They are the perfect blend of being unnoticeable when the time calls for it, peace when some wedding day stress ensues and directness when large family photos need organization and focus. Of course, we’re overjoyed with the photos (which were sent back in just 19 days with a preview in only 3 days!!), but we’re even more happy that Amy and Tony were part of the day themselves. It’s apparent in the results of their work how much they truly love their jobs, but seeing their smiles all day while photographing proves it as well. Amy’s was the first and largest smile I saw the moment I stepped off the trolley at the church as she was shooting photos of me and the girls. She was just as excited as the rest of us and it instantly brought another sense of comfort, allowing me to be relaxed and confident. Tony, was equally as happy and calm, constantly reminding me we were okay on time throughout the day! Thank you both so much. We have looked at our photos almost every day since our wedding over a month ago now and will for the rest of our lives. We’ve received endless compliments from family and friends and would recommend your services in a heart beat. The way that Amy & Tony captured every moment of our reception without me even noticing that they were there was absolutely incredible. dding day. But, to no surprise, A&T beat my expectations by sending us our photos prior to their deadline and I’m left still trying to find the right words to do justice to how amazing these two are. As a couple who doesn’t necessarily enjoy getting our photos taken, A&T made the whole experience such a breeze. They made us feel so comfortable and in turn, really made our time together so fun. It didn’t feel like we were working with two vendors, it felt like we were working with two friends. We had guests during and after the wedding telling us how impressed they were with A&T and they weren’t wrong. On top of their amazing photographer skills and their larger than life personalities, you can also see how much they love each other (husband & wife!) and that itself made me smile throughout the wedding. They are down to earth, friendly, highly skilled and truly just one of a kind. After the wedding, we got a sneak peek via their blog of some of our photos which was so special (literally only a few days after!!). We were able to share the blog link with all of our friends and family and it was so sweet to see how excited people were to get a “sneak peek” at our wedding photos. Then, we got the full album back and I was blown again, again, by their photos. The photos are incredible and so unique. They captured true candid moments throughout the entire event and also had such creative ideas for our individual, family + bridal photos that turned out wonderful. Overall, I can’t recommend Hoffer Photography enough. They made our wedding day and we will always remember how special they both were to us and our day. The day would not have been so fun, energetic and wonderful without them.

Over the next year, we were pretty regularly in touch about our vision of what we wanted from the photographs of our wedding day, and they listened! From the getting ready photos to the photos of the chaos of the late-night dance floor, every picture is stunning. Amy and Tony made us and our wedding party feel comfortable and have fun; they put forethought into how to light a pretty tricky-to-light ceremony space (a planetarium); and they had clever ideas for poses/photographs we should take. Everyone had fun, even while we were taking the more formal photos, and we knew the photos were going to be gorgeous. We were right. We got a preview just a few days after the wedding and could not believe how stunning the photos were! Just a few weeks later, we got the full set of photographs, and somehow those were even better! This is, no doubt, attributable to their planning and creativity, but also to their fun nature that made everyone feel like they could act like themselves. The Hoffers are an amazing duo—we could not recommend them more!

And then we found Hoffer Photography - immediately, we fell in love with the way that Tony and Amy captured the love and individuality of each couple and each event. The creative compositions made each photo a work of art. We scheduled a call with them and ended up booking them the same day. Not only are they wildly talented, but they are also so professional, knowledgable, and kind. We began planning our 2021 wedding in early 2020, just before COVID. We quickly learned that working with vendors you liked and respected was key. Tony and Amy are as just that. They were so flexible with us as we shifted from a 150 person affair to a backyard wedding of less than 30. Our photos are incredible, and our wedding album is stunning. They were so patient with us as we went back and forth with minor edits to the album. If you want unique and gorgeous photos and to work with quality humans, we STRONGLY recommend Tony and Amy.

The engagement shoot was a blast and the photos from it amazing, so we knew after that we were in good hands. It was awesome to be totally confident about it going into the wedding - we were just excited to see Amy and Tony again! The actual wedding wasn't until December 2021, after being postponed due to the pandemic. We'd had several planning phone calls leading up to it, and Tony helped us plan the timeline of the day. Everything the day of went wonderfully. We purchased extra hours with the Hoffers so that they could arrive early, while we were getting ready, and stay throughout the night, and it was definitely worth it. Tony and Amy did an incredible job of capturing poignant moments and emotions throughout the night. The photos we got are truly priceless. Looking at them the first time was like experiencing everything again but with a fresh perspective - they were able to capture things that I'd been too busy in the moment to notice. Highly recommend!

e needed them on our team! It's always important that you love the final product from your photographer, of course, but what I didn't realize is how important all the other pieces are. They are so much more than their incredible photographs (which says a lot). They are talented, respectful, quick (literally in terms of getting to the right spot to capture every moment you could want on the day of, and also in terms of getting us our pictures after the wedding), they know when to bring order to chaos (aka herding our 24 person bridal party) and equally know when to be incognito (it's like they weren't even there for our first look, in the best way). I basically spent more time with Tony and Amy on my wedding day than with my husband! Point is... you want to enjoy the company of the people you'll be spending lots of time with on one of the biggest days of your life. T & A are not only incredible at what they do but two of the most wonderful humans that we genuinely enjoyed spending time with (for our engagement shoot and our wedding). If we didn't so desperately need their amazing photography skills on our big day, we'd have invited the two of them to come to the wedding! They are that cool. Before the wedding even started, my bridesmaids couldn't stop raving about how incredible they were and how they all want them for their future weddings... I already can't wait until we have an excuse to work with the two of them again... we will never work with any one else (sorry Tony and Amy... you're stuck with us!)! To say they are geniuses at their craft is an understatement. Tony and Amy bring out the absolute most out of their subjects. I thought the one you initially posted would be “the best” but there is no best, I cannot choose. I don’t know what else to say other than that I cannot wait to see you guys again at our wedding!! I think we are officially adding Jim to our family tree! We also used the “Guestcam” from the Hoffers for our photo booth. They helped us to pick a backdrop and even provided some fun props (we supplemented with our own props too). I would say the attendant did a good job but she didn’t seem totally familiar with the technology. For instance the Guestcam supposedly does animated gifs but this service was not offered or made clear to anyone about how to do it. But the Guestcam quality was great and our guests loved it overall. We got our photos back less than a month after the wedding and we were blown away. Jim has an amazing eye for detail and made us feel so comfortable even when we weren’t sure how to pose. But every single picture turned out better than we envisioned. We love our pictures so much we can’t decide what should go in our album! Thank you!

st the results of the images themselves, which were amazing, but by their pure energy and enthusiasm throughout the night. We knew that when the time came those were the type of people we wanted to surround ourselves with. Being a photographer, Nick had pretty high standards for what he was looking for in a wedding photographer. We both agreed that while we wanted some of those key shots, we did not want the quintessential wedding photography that you see online. We wanted a unique, artistic approach to our pictures that would truly capture the two of us as a couple, which is exactly what we got! We got the pleasure of working with Tony and Amy 4 times over the course of the last 15 months. Nick surprised me with having them capture the proposal at Grand Central Station, which truly made the day even more special. Immediately following the proposal, we were so determined to lock in the Hoffers for the wedding that we started the process of looking for venues and literally coordinated the day around when they were available. If there was one thing we weren’t willing to negotiate on, it was them! Luckily, we found a day that worked for everything! We shot an engagement shoot with them in Tribeca, NYC that was probably one of the most fun experiences we have had together. Tony and Amy made us feel so comfortable to where we could just be ourselves. It literally felt like having two friends with you all day. I don’t think the smiles ever left our faces. We were so blown away by the results and couldn’t wait to share the pictures with our family and friends. As an additional experience for me, I did a boudoir shoot as Nick’s wedding gift with Amy Hoffer and Lindsay Backner that was a once in a lifetime experience. It was such a memorable time for me. The confidence I felt in that moment and then in seeing the results afterwards was something both me and my husband will cherish for many years. I couldn’t thank the two of them enough for making me feel like a million bucks that day and for the beautiful images I can now look back on. When you’re hiring vendors for a wedding, you try to work off recommendations as much as possible. After that, you’re pretty much left with online reviews, phone interviews and hoping that you have made the right decisions. When we hired Hoffer Photography we had no doubt in our minds that we made the best decision for our day. We knew that we had hired individuals who would amplify our day with their talent and positivity. We fully entrusted them to capture our most precious moments and felt completely comfortable in leaving creative liberty at their disposal. Not only were we so impressed with them that day, but our family and friends have all commented on how wonderful they both were. They seemed to be everywhere you wanted them to be, capturing each special moment, but you never really knew they were there at the same time! t I have yet to write an official review. My husband and I got married about 5 months ago, and I have already started crying writing the first few sentences of this review. "Gratitude" does not even begin to explain my feelings toward Amy and Tony, who are not only the most talented, creative, funky photographers in the world but two incredible souls that we consider true friends. The photos from our wedding (and from our engagement session) are stunning. There is no other word for them. Every time I open our album or click through our Facebook pictures, I lose my breath, because we look like ourselves in EVERY. SINGLE. SHOT. You can feel the emotion in every single photograph. How is that even possible?! When we were planning the wedding, the most important things we were looking for were the music & the photos. We went to Amy and Tony's house to meet with them (the 2nd photography team we met with) and I started crying in the driveway as we left, saying "I cannot believe we found them." I just felt so lucky, and we texted them less than an hour later (before we even got home) asking for the contract. I felt like they *knew* us, and that made me feel like our wedding day would feel comfortable, authentic, and easy. And, it was. It really was. Tony and Amy are so funny, cool, easy-going, positive, and goofy that every session felt like the best date ever. I forgot I was being photographed and instead just felt like my best self, enjoying the moment with the love of my life. AND THE RESULT IS MAGICAL. MAGICAL. To give you an idea of how impactful Amy and Tony are, one of my strongest memories of the wedding was in the quiet moment after putting on my wedding dress. My mom left the room to go gather the bridesmaids, and it was just me and Tony. I finally took a deep breath and said "I'm getting married." I started shaking and smiling and feeling EVERYTHING all at once. It was spiritual and powerful and I just remember thinking, "What would this be like if any other photographer was here?" I was able to have that special moment, that feeling of being a BRIDE, 100% genuinely and authentically. I felt like I had a moment to myself, even though Tony was there, because Tony made me feel so safe and comfortable. And now I have it in a picture that makes me cry every time I see it. I could go on and on about this but the reality is, Tony and Amy are artists that see PEOPLE. They are empaths that use their gift to create beautiful pieces of art that you will treasure for the rest of your life. They see moments that others don't see. our engagement in August 2017. We found the Hoffers on our venue's suggested vendor list and to be totally honest we initially looked pass them because I thought I knew what I wanted. I can confidently say, you don't know what you want until you look at Amy and Tony's photography. After second guessing what I thought I wanted, we looked to the Hoffers. Once I saw the moments they captured and the people they are, I was prepared to do anything to have them capture my wedding. My husband and I are big on booking people not companies, and that is exactly what you get with the Hoffers. They are some of the most genuine and kind, not to mention coolest, people we've ever met. For our engagement shoot they were totally down for our ideas (formalwear in the woods, rowboats and photographing from kayaks, etc) and made us feel like the cameras weren't even there. The same can be said for our wedding day. When we got our pictures back I remember saying, "Wait, were they like sitting in the aisle??" You don't just book photographers when you book them. They helped us through the entire process, gave us tips and tricks the day of, and Tony even helped with my veil when it just would not stay put for my mom and sister. I knew from the quality of their photos they would be perfect, but then when you start to work with them it goes above and beyond just photography. They are so professional, sometimes you forget they're around and you'd just enjoying your day with friends and family. On my wedding day morning my makeup artist was running a little late as were the groomsmen. Instead of getting frustrated or looking to me for answers Tony & Amy set out a plan. Amy found locations for first looks and bridal party pictures. Tony kept in touch with her so that the brides maids (and me) never crossed paths with the groomsmen. Tony even helped me get my veil in when my mom had trouble getting it secured. We received our photos back less than a month after the wedding and they perfectly capture the joy, laughter, happiness and love from our wedding day.

For me this was amazing especially in regards to the reception photos since there are so many moments that are a blur since it goes by so fast. What we love so much is that Tony and Amy captured so many candid moments at the wedding/reception, so you actually get to see what an amazing time your guests had and you feel the joy. Plus, their photos just make the bride and groom pop! If you want photos that are NOT going to be run of the mill, static, typical wedding photos: pick the Hoffers. Jim and his second shooter, Tommy, made us very comfortable while we were getting ready and grabbed great shots of both of us, our families, and our bridal party. The photos from the day were exactly what we had hoped for - tons of candid shots of us interacting with our families and friends, as well as some gorgeous photos of the two of us that made us look way more photogenic than we could have imagined. s well. Photography was the most important vendor to me when we started planning a wedding. After meeting with a handful of photographers, no one was really wowing us until we met Tony and Amy. From the first meeting with Tony and Amy we felt like we had known them for years. They made us feel so comfortable, which is huge when those people are taking your picture. When it came to the wedding day there is no one else I would have wanted there. I think I spent more time with Tony than I did with my husband that day. Tony and Amy are an amazing pair and are there for literally everything. Whether it's fixing veils and boutonnieres, hiding in the trees, or getting you a much needed margarita, they do it all while taking amazing photos.
