We recently had our wedding at the Holiday Inn By the Bay. We had our wedding reception on Saturday night and a breakfast for all overnight guests Sunday morning. Kristyn, our ev...
ent co-ordinator was very helpful and accomodating to everything we requested. They are very experienced in event management and were helpful to us as we had never planned a large event before.
The food was good - nothing over the top - but typical of a banquet event. The hotel and event spaces have all been recently updated.
The staff was great to work with - everyone was very attentive and willing to help with any request we had.
The only issue arose when we changed the end time of our wedding - from 11pm to 11:30pm - and it didn't appear that the message got delivered to the manager in charge of the reception. The bar was closed early and then our DJ got cut off at the end of the night. Obviously a mis-communication and a little disappointing after all the money we spent. Especially considering the end time was in our contract and reception order. We just brought the party to the hotel bar after that.
