We had our wedding reception here and the building and staff were amazing! Our event coordinator at the Holiday Inn made the planning process so easy and was able to meet with us two or three times throughout the planning process and was easily accessible by phone for any questions! All the staff at the Holiday Inn were so great to work with and friendly! We would highly recommend having your wedding at Holiday Inn Detroit Lakes-Lakefront, it’s beautiful and we loved that it was right on the lake!

Beautiful venue with tons of options and things to do! Being on the lake was really fun and convenient for everyone. The hotel has a busy bar that’s fun to go to after the events over as well. The whole weekend experience there is amazing. I highly recommend anyone that’s looking for a place that can keep all of your guests occupied for the entire weekend, book here! Being able to have everything all in one location is so nice and reduces a lot of stress when wedding planning. I can’t say enough good things about the experience and staff at this place!

The Holiday Inn on the lake was the perfect place to have our reception after our ceremony on the beach at our cabin. We started with cocktail hour, then we had the dinner and dance there. Amy was so helpful during the process of planning, and she had all the answers to my questions. There were a couple tiny hiccups during the wedding day, but we never expected everything to be perfect, as that is simply impractical. The location is beautiful, so the photographers took us out during sunset and we got some amazing photos out by the lake and on the dock. After the dance ended, we kept the party going in their great bar, that includes a patio that looks out to Big Detroit Lake. We were very satisfied with how everything turned out! Definitely recommend this location.

The people were great and the hotel is on the lake which is nice.;The room itself is not very attractive but we were able to make it look great with lots of lights and decorations.
