There were just a few things that didn't go so well when planning my reception with the Holiday Inn. The first one being that we worked with at least five different people througho...ut the year of planning. It made things confusing and made me worry if everything was going to be alright. At one point I found that the whole package and pricing I had signed up for had changed. They worked with me on getting the package I wanted but it ended up costing more money. Then after the wedding the cake stand which I had informed the director that I needed back to return to the cake shop went missing. No one there could find it for a week and then they finally called me and told me that they gave it to one of my guests at the reception. I don't think any of my guests would just take a plastic cake stand. No one on my bridal party or immediate family knows anything about it. So I lost my $25 deposit for that.
On to the good...Everything was set up perfectly. It was beautiful and the staff set out all my stuff (favors, card box, wish box, toys for the kids table, toasting flutes, etc) for no extra charge. All the food came out on time and was delicious. They even moved the bar from the cocktail area into the reception room for me. The bartender did an excellent job and made a special drink for me the whole night. The waitstaff was wonderful too. They got the food out and made sure everyone was happy.
