ting them, but I hated the idea of other brides working with this vendor and potentially having a similar experience. Here is my OPINION/PERCEPTION of the events that occurred: 1. Holli was late to my trial. 2. After the trial my face got oily and in 1.5 hours, mascara was running. Ok, understandable, everyone's skin is different. I contacted Holli with concerns and she suggested she'd use different products. I requested a second paid trial. She gave me week days, and mid day times to meet, AND asked that I drive to her (an hour and a half ONE way). When I told her I couldn’t work with the limitations she, she said “don’t worry, I’ll take care of you” and left my concerns at that. Well I was definitely worried about wedding day! 3. The week of the wedding she texts me “Christina will meet you@11:30am.” I was so confused because this hadn't been discussed to my memory. I figured since Holli did my trial, she would also be doing my wedding day. Holli spoke to my coordinator and due to the confusion, as a courtesy, because Christina couldn't, Holli agreed to come at 5:50ish, for which she usually charges extra, to touch me up before I walked down the isle. This would have been a great way to ensure a happy client.. However, Holli NEVER showed, and wouldn't respond to calls or texts. 4. Holli seemingly provided Christina with absolutely nothing we planned at the trial. Because Christina shows up on wedding day asking me for examples of what I want.. This made my $100 trial absolutely pointless! 5. Christina showed up about AN HOUR LATE ON WEDDING DAY! No call, no text, no apologies from either on wedding day. Christina came in saying it was because she couldn't find parking.... Picture time rolls around, I had a bridesmaid with unfinished make up and Christina suggesting starting pictures w/out a bridesmaid while she finished or having one bridesmaid with no make up for the first set of pictures. Heck no! Literally had to change our ENTIRE wedding day schedule, causing us to rush through special moments like our first look. I remember being so stressed and overwhelmed... both my mother and law and I were in tears! Post wedding Holli told my coordinator Christina was late because she had gotten news her dad passed away. Ok more reasonable excuse than parking. However, good service/management could have been sending other artists, or coming yourself, to relieve Christina AND to help make up the time deficit. Poor Christina had to get that news and then do all our make up in a huge time crunch, I can't imagine! I also felt shamed by Holli for still being frustrated; my stress was seemingly invalidated due to the circumstances. An apology work have worked wonders. 6. Afterwards, I wanted to give a chance to make it right and understand her side of the Holli story. We scheduled to talk on multiple occasions, and she wouldn't pick up her phone or respond at our scheduled appointment times. I called her for the appointment 2-3 times, and then 2-3 times the few days following. I sent her texts asking to reschedule the appointment. She responded with a long text accusing me of harassment&defamation and threatened legal action.. I was baffled! At that point I tapped out because after all the stress caused, the drama wasn't worth it.

On the day of the wedding she was fast, but not to where she was rushing through. She made me feel very special! I love talking with her! She loves to hear about your wedding details and learn more about you. I know some people ask those questions just to make small talk, but she is genuinely interested! I felt like a princess on my wedding day, my makeup and hair was absolutely beautiful! My husband LOVED my hair. My mom got her hair and makeup done too and it looked so good in photos!! If you’re needing hair and makeup done for your wedding, hire Holli, you won’t regret it!!!

she arrived to the venue exactly when planned and listened to the feed back the women envisioned for their hair, while making subtle suggestions, but respecting the wishes of each person. Her service is above and beyond expectations for a wedding-hair specialist. I would highly recommend Holli for your big day!

my trial, rehearsal dinner, and wedding I truly felt like she was a friend! She was organized, on-time, and my wedding party and I loved hanging out with her on my wedding day!

ng a trial first which I HIGHLY recommend doing a trial before officially booking. When I originally inquired I let her know I really want whispy individual lashes and my eyebrows to be defined. For my hair I wanted a boho braid to go along with my theme. She loved it and I hired her. For my trial a couple months later I showed her the same hair picture I inquired about and she said "I hate doing boho braids" and I had e-mailed prior explaining I want the individual lashes instead of strip. I had a feeling she'd forget, which she did. So I bought and brought my own. After my hair and makeup were done I wasn't too thrilled and explained that some of the eyeshadow was under my eye and she said "well you wanted a smoked out undereye" which I did... but I know the difference between smoked out and messy/fallout. I e-mailed her a couple days after and let her know what I did and didn't like and she tried to charge me another $150 to do the whole trial again. When I went for my second hair trial she couldn't work with my hair and asked if this has ever happened before. NEVER has and she said she wanted to make another appointment. I felt rushed because she told her husband it would be 30 minutes once I walked in the door because they had plans... I then got my bridals back and was just so disappointed... tears, nervousness and just shocked. I will never have bridals taken again and there are only two to four pictures I like that don't show the hair and makeup. More money down the drain. I spoke to my wedding planner and we hired someone who was able to do exactly what I wanted and everything turned out PERFECTLY. Once I let her know that I will not be needing her services she didn't express wanting to know what went wrong, which I was shocked about and explained I'd be getting a refund (after the $400 retainer which should've been $380) she didn't explain which card it would go back on, exactly how much it would be and when to expect it. After a week I followed up and she simply said "it is in squares hands now" well no... it's not. I did research and it could take up to two weeks to get refunded, which I am completely fine with but she could've told me that. I ended up only getting partial refund ($140), which again I am fine with but I didn't receive any explanation until I sent an e-mail after which she explained she didn't technically owe me anything, but in her contract it is very vague about refunds. All in all I am very disappointed with her services and do not recommend her.

And when it came to my bridal portraits makeup, she was spectacular and even allowed me to use her home as a changing spot for my wedding dress! Nothing was ever too much for her. Her assistant Ashley was just as great on my wedding day. They were both a joy to be around. I will always recommend Holli!

She was incredibly patient and went out of her way to make me feel comfortable. When my hair didn’t cooperate during the first trial, she welcomed the challenge and suggested a second trial after she saw how my curls worked. It was a huge success and I absolutely adored my wedding hair and makeup! :) She was a source of calming energy on my wedding day as well and I was happy to have her! Holli is incredibly talented and I can’t recommend her enough!

When it came to the makeup I usually don't wear much so I so she asked for pictures of makeup looks that I liked. She looked at one picture and then went with that look, which was way too heavy for my taste. I wish she would have spent more time trying to understand my vision and what kind of makeup I was comfortable with. The worst part, and why I am giving 3 stars, is the fact that she never put the amount for travel in the contract and sprung it on me after she finished my wedding day makeup. I had no clue how far away she traveled from and it ended up costing me $125 just for travel. Bringing this up after the contract had been signed and on my wedding day was so unprofessional and just left a bitter taste in my mouth. Some parts of her business just missed the mark for me.

Holli called me and we chatted for quite a while and she was very sweet and I told her my budget and she met it. We met up for my engagement pics in March and she came to my house, which I absolutely loved because it was very convenient for me and she did my hair and makeup! I felt like a movie star! Holli is one of those people who you meet and you feel like you have known forever! She is super down to earth and easy to talk too! She was super accommodating with my schedule and we never had any issues with schedule conflicts and she was always on time! She came to my house again for my bridal portraits which I used as my hair and makeup trail. My hair and makeup looked absolutely fantastic...the first try was a success and it was exactly what I wanted. I showed her a bunch of different pictures of what I was looking for and she put them all together making one beautiful up-do! The next time I saw Holli, it was my wedding day! She brought two other ladies, which I was very thankful for because they had 9 girls to do hair and make up for!! They showed up at 7:30am on the dot and got to work. Overall, they did an amazing job. The only bump in the road was one of the girls had a family emergency and had to leave before her scheduled time which caused a bit of a rush at the end. Obviously, things happen that you cannot predict. This did cause my hair and my maid of honors make-up to be rushed, but Holli did everything she could to accommodate us! All of my girls, my mom and my mother-in-law all looked absolutely stunning. I got so many compliments on how amazing my hair and make-up was…which obviously is what every bride wants to hear! I would highly recommend using Holli for your wedding if you are looking for someone that is going to work within your budget and not try and nickel and dime you, someone who is just an absolute pleasure to be around, and someone who has a passion for beauty and over a decade of experience.

hings go wrong with the make -up on the trial run and the actual day-of the wedding which was completely unacceptable. In the trial run my daughter was shinny two hours after getting her make up done. No effort on Holli’s part to do a second trial and was unsuccessful For the day of the wedding We communicated with Holli that we were on a timeline for pre-wedding photos. Holli assured us, as well as our wedding coordinator, that she and another makeup artist would arrive promptly at 11:30, set up and be ready to start before 12 noon. It was also stated by Holli that she personally would be applying Chloe’s makeup. It was disappointing that Holli herself did not show and she sent another artist whom we did not know to come do my daughters make up and others in the party. The makeup artist, Christine, was 40 minutes late and no communication until coordinator called and was given an unexceptionable reason for being an hour and a half late in getting to the venue and setting up. Due to being late it caused pushing everything back. We had made it clear that most of her photos were going to be done pre-wedding and this time was compromised as a result. The bride did not get to enjoy the cocktail hour with her guests as she had When working on the original details with Hollie, it was was never communicated that someone else other than Holli would be doing the make up. It would seem logical that the person who is to do the brides’ make up would also be the same person who does the trial run! Even if this was to change it should have been communicated to us. Holli was to come back at 5:30 to do touch ups. Holli never showed, never called leaving the bride scrambling to do her own make up touch ups 5 minutes before the wedding. Many attempts were made to communicate that we wanted Holli to stay until Chloe walked down the isle. We have tried numerous time to reach out to Holli to resolve this matter but again there has been no communication. At one point Holli did send out a group text to Chloe, the bride’s mom, the grooms mom & the wedding coordinator asking everyone and we could discuss what happened. We are replied with times when we could talk, then we never heard from her again. We believe that our daughter is due a partial refund since but she was promised was not delivered

ely evident that she was the most reasonable with prices out of other vendors I saw and she treated you as a person, not just a dollar sign. On my wedding day, she came to the hotel and knocked out everyone's hair (5 ladies) in 3 hours. She followed us 15 min to our venue and finished with everyone's makeup (3 ladies) plus my hair and makeup in 3 hours. She was a champ, working on a total of 6 of us all by herself, meanwhile carrying on conversations to get to know everyone more. I loved my experience, she's quick to respond to texts and flexible with scheduling you in for trials so you're relaxed about your big day. Thank you so much, Holli!

I was given her name by several ladies, and they were right in saying that she is amazing. Her communication is prompt and direct, and she went with the flow as my details changed a million times throughout the planning process. She came to the event venue on the day of to did my two bridesmaid's, my aunt's and my hair. She was extremely professional yet fit right in with my crazy family. To say she added to the fun and exciting vibe we had going as we were getting ready is an understatement. Holli Elaine really is amazing, and I highly recommend her.

te. I received 3 invoices from her with 3 different amounts. RED FLAG number #1. I paid her the deposit in Feb for my July Wedding. RED FLAG number #2, I never received a contract from her, nor did she ever mention a contract. I've never done this before, so I'm clueless. In April we have scheduled a trial, we agreed to meet at my parent's house in Wylie. The day of the trial, she was 1 hour late, RED FLAG number #3 , when she arrived, we started working on my hair, but about 15 mins in, she was hungry, her tummy was growling, so my dad, got us lunch, she took a break , ate , then rushed to finish my hair and make up. I told her that my hair did not feel secure and that the curls were falling already. She did not fix it, just told me that I need to stop touching it, that's why its falling. I thought the purpose of the trial is that you can try different hairstyles and make up until you agree on a style that you like. Well, we did not get to do that because now, she is in a hurry to leave, because it's time for her to pick up her kids. I understand that, but... it didn't help me being she was an hour late. So now, I am NOT satisfied with my hair and make up, and I have a bridal photo shoot to go to. RED FLAG number #4, then she throws a curve ball at me, telling me that she needs the FULL payment 2 months in advanced. I was surprised, my girls are not expecting this. Then she tells me it's on the contract... The contract that she never sent me. She did eventually said, I'll work with you on the payment. Then the last blow..... When I received my photos from the shoot, I was so upset... I started crying, my hair looked like I was attacked by a bear, it was so messy, my curls have fallen and my make up did not show on the photos. I really looked it I just rolled out of bed. At this point, I have wasted my money on the trial, the photographer and I also took the day off from work to do my trial and bridal photos. This is the day, that I told Holli that I will not be using her for my wedding. I was so stressed and unhappy that I refuse to do that to myself on my wedding day. RED FLAG number #5 , after I made her aware that she will no longer be part of my wedding, she refused to give me my money back for the deposit. This was in April, she had plenty of time to get another reservation for my date in July. She did not deserve to keep my money. I have lost hundreds of dollars on this lady. She has given me so much stress for several months now trying to get my money back. It's not worth it.

Also, the price of their services is extremely reasonable compared to other places because it also includes the trial hair/makeup and Holli is so sweet, she will make sure you absolutely love your look.
