Based out of Anna, TX, Hollis Texas Style BBQ is a catering company that services weddings and other special occasions. Disabled veteran Donovan J. Hollis, also known as "DJ," started this enterprise in 2019. With his help, you and your guests can expect a mouth-watering wedding feast. Donovan is originally from Houston, TX, before moving to Melissa. He graduated from Melissa High School in 2012 and enlisted in the US military. Donovan served as an Airborne Army Ranger for six years, including two deployments in Afghanistan. An accident in 2016 caused him to lose his right leg. As Donovan recovered, he realized his passion for cooking. He opened Hollis Texas Style BBQ to help bring people together with his barbecue and homemade Southern meals. Hollis Texas Style BBQ offers delivery, setup, serving, and cleanup for your wedding catering. Whether plated or buffet, these meals are sure to be a hit with you and your guests.
