About this vendor
The Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity is a historic wedding venue located in New York, NY. This neo-Gothic sanctuary was constructed in 1904 and features stained glass, beautiful mosaics, and a show-stopping pipe organ. This handicap-accessible venue is conveniently located near Central Park and the 59th/Columbus Circle subway station, ensuring everyone can arrive in comfort.
Holy Trinity is happy to welcome couples of all faiths, no faith, and interfaith traditions, especially LGBTQ+ celebrations of every kind. You’ll also be able to say you were wed in the church stepped on by the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man in the 1984 Ghostbusters film. The venue can accommodate up to 300 of your nearest and dearest, so who you gonna call?
Being close to major Big Apple attractions, you can enjoy capturing wedding photos with iconic backdrops like the Mall, Literary Wall, and Bethesda Terrace. The Community Room is an excellent spot for you and your sweetheart to prepare for the big event. It’s a large enough space, though, that it would also be a lovely area for your rehearsal dinner or reception. You and your guests are also invited to enjoy cocktails on the stoop outside the church or a meal at nearby restaurants such as Tavern on the Green. Holy Trinity also provides live streaming services to reach out to loved ones who couldn’t attend your celebrations in person. You and your partner are encouraged to select your favorite outside vendors to personalize your incredible day. Lighting/sound and setup of chairs and tables can be seen to by the staff, so you can focus on spending quality time with loved ones. Needless to say, The Evangelical Lutheran Church of the Holy Trinity would love to hear from you and learn more about your vision for your wedding day.

We loved getting married here! Pastor Tim was so kind throughout the planning process and made sure our ceremony was true to who we are as a couple. Diane, the organist, made sure ...
the music was a perfect fit too. We had several opportunities to meet, visit the church, etc. leading up to our wedding day.
My husband and I were married at Holy Trinity Lutheran Church in October of 2016. We had a very lovely wedding and I highly recommend Holy Trinity as a wedding venue. Holy Trinit...
y is a very lovely neogothic space adorned with beautiful mosaic work surrounding the altar. For many years, Holy Trinity has welcomed couples with inclusiveness and a sensitivity for all, including the LGBTQ+ community. When we were married at Holy Trinity the pastor worked very closely with us to design a wedding service that was personal and meaningful to us.
In addition, Holy Trinity offers a few options for receptions. Our wedding was smaller in size, and our guests enjoyed cake and sparkling wine in the back of the church near the doors that open onto Central Park. There is also an air-conditioned community room (including a full kitchen) below the church where a larger reception can take place.
Because of its location along Central Park, it is possible for the newlyweds to leave the church by horse drawn carriage while attendees give them an energetic send off before disappearing into the park.
Overall, Holy Trinity has the components for a beautiful and memorable wedding day.
Holy Trinity is a beautiful, inclusive, and perfectly located venue. As a same sex couple, it was important that we felt comfortable in our ceremony space. Pastor Tim made us feel ...
safe and celebrated. Not only is the church a gorgeous space, it is perfectly located next to Central Park for a great opportunity for outdoor portraits. We also found the wedding coordinator, Jeremy, to be super nice and easy to work with. Would definitely recommend!
