McVey Homestead is a historic property in Montana's Bitterroot Valley where weddings become weekends, and weekends become the kind of memories families talk about for decades.
This isn't a barn. It's a historic homestead — 1897 farmhouse, two-story Heritage Barn, a 165-year-old willow tree that's seen a thousand stories. Watched over by the Bitterroot Mountains doing the whole majestic mountain backdrop thing. The whole property is exclusively yours from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave.
We built McVey for couples who don't want a wedding day. They want a wedding gathering — the kind where Grandpa brings the lager, the kids run barefoot, the first dance leads to the dancing, and quiet moments with your closest humans around the fire after everyone has left.
Every package includes:
- Exclusive use of the entire property — barn, willow, gardens, ceremony lawn, fire pit, dining hall
- A 2- (or 4-) night stay in the farmhouse (sleeps 6) — your family wakes up where you're getting married
- Free on-site camping and RV space for extended family
- 1,000+ curated décor pieces, vintage furniture, ceremony arches, and reception seating for up to 160 guests
- Setup, day-of support, and cleanup — you show up, we handle the rest
- One flat rate. No hidden fees.
Three ways to celebrate:
- Thursday–Saturday ($6,750) — a long weekend with your people
- Saturday–Monday ($7,750) — start with the celebration, end with a brunch sendoff
- The McVey Retreat: Thursday–Monday ($12,000) — five days, four nights, all of it yours
"It was dreamy, everything felt effortless, like we were taken care of all along the way. Not having the hassle or added expenses of everything else that gets tacked on later took all the stress out of planning and budgeting — I felt way more relaxed by the time my wedding actually came around."
— J & P, July 2024
McVey is a vibe. A homecoming. A weekend that feels like a vacation. We'd love to show you around.

Working with Brenna & her husband was a breeze, and SO much fun! We choose to stay at the venue space for nearly a week with our families who flew in from all over the country. We ...
relaxed with the most GORGEOUS views, and we partied while surrounded by love all week long complete with game nights, campfires, a grill out, and dancing under the gorgeous willow tree. There are so many amenities that come with the homestead - we barely had to purchase any decorations, and had so much fun playing with all the options to create the most beautiful space. We had guests camp at the property, and had lots of guests book homes nearby so we could spend as much quality time together as possible. If you're looking to create memories in a way that feels like a vacation, I highly recommend hosting your event here with these awesome owners!!

What can I say about Homestead on McVey? Brenna and Joe truly made every single one of our wedding dreams come true. From start to finish, they were there every step of the way, al...
ways ready with a helping hand, thoughtful ideas, and unwavering support. We were married on August 23, 2025, and stayed at the Homestead from Friday through Sunday. Brenna was incredibly accommodating with all of my questions, multiple planning visits, and throughout the entire wedding process. When we arrived to set up, both Brenna and Joe were there to ensure everything we needed was in place, even helping us move items around to make the process seamless and stress-free.
If you are looking for a wedding venue that truly captures the beauty of Montana and offers everything you could possibly ask for (and more), I cannot recommend the Homestead on McVey highly enough. When we look back on our big day, we are still in awe, because not a single thing went wrong. We owe a huge thank you to Brenna and Joe for making our wedding weekend so effortless and unforgettable.

Though married in Alaska in the winter of 2024, my wife and I decided we wanted to have a ceremony and gathering for family and friends back home in Montana in the summer of 2025. ...
When looking for venues in the Missoula, MT / Bitterroot Valley area, one site immediately stood above the rest.
McVey Homestead was every bit of beautiful rustic Montana that was promised and more than we could hope for. The property is stunning, the buildings well kept with historic charm, and the whole experience somehow felt right out of a movie and at home all at the same time.
Aside from the physical location, Brenna was simply terrific. From booking the venue and tailoring the times to our specific needs, to a huge support the day of the event with decorations, setting up chairs, sound systems, walk throughs… simply above and beyond.
It all made for an amazing day, life long memories, and only left us wanting more of McVey (we should have rented the farm house for the night.) I cannot recommend McVey enough, for any venue need. We WILL be back the second we can come up with an excuse!

We got married here on June 3rd, 2023. The communication was so easy via email between us and David/Chandler. They answered every single question I had about the venue along the wa...
y and were so willing to have us come look at it more than once. We got to stay on the property at the house along with having as many campers and tents as we could fit on the property for our 48-hour stay. With all of the helping hands we had arranging the tables and chairs was smooth and painless and they had numerous additional decorations available for us to use for no additional charge. The entire weekend was like a dream. It was both quick, smooth with barely any hiccups and ended exactly as I had imagined! The industrial kitchen made it easy for us to do our own food as well. I highly recommend this venue if you are looking for an indoor/outdoor beautiful space to bring your friends and family to enjoy the weekend with you!
