Our cake was included in our wedding venue package (Factoria at Charles Point). Being from Westchester, I've been familiar with Homestyle for years as my family loves their pastries/desserts for the holidays. We could not be happier with how everything turned out on our wedding day! My husband and I decided to have cupcakes for all our guests and a small cake for us to cut for pictures/save to bring home. The cupcakes were a hit! We were able to get two flavors (Hostess and Cannoli) and everyone we talked to were beyond impressed with them. We were able to pick our favorite flavor (Black and White) for our personal cake, and it was even better than when we had it with our tasting. Julie was easy to get in contact with, and answered all my questions and eased any concerns I had. I would absolutely recommend booking with Homestyle!

The bakery designed our cake exactly as we asked for our wedding. It came out beautiful, we were very happy. We picked the strawberry and cream cake and it was absolutely delicious.

My wife and I got married on the 21st of October this year in a Hallowedding of our dreams. HomeStyle Desserts gave us a cake that we designed exactly and absolutely loved it. We also requested a vegan cake that our vegan guests absolutely loved. They were provided in our venue package for a wedding cake. Everyone raved about our cakes and even went to the bakery on another day outside of our wedding.

They got the date of my wedding wrong. The morning of my wedding I got an aggressive phone call asking me for the details of my cake- my venue had reached out to find out when my cake and desserts were going to be delivered. They seemed to have absolutely not a clue who I was, despite several prior emails, a phone call, and an in person visit to pay the remaining deposit. After the team realized they got the date wrong (they had written down September 9 and my wedding was September 3), they insisted I would have the cake I ordered. Spoiler alert: I didn’t get what I ordered. My cake was delivered a sloppy mess. My maid of honor saw it after delivery and described it to me as “the leaning tower of Pisa.” The venue had to stick multiple dowels in it so it didn’t topple over. It was only one flavor, not the two I had ordered. The design was clearly thrown on to get it done with, and the cake tier I brought home was misshapen and decorated with pink sprinkles like a kindergartener made it in class. To top it all off, I had to reach out for an apology; they made no attempt to make it right. I would avoid at all costs for your peace of mind.

No Show!!!!!My daughter ordered a cake for her wedding and they never showed up after paying over three hundred dollars.The manager try to put the blame on my daughter which we did not appreciate at all,we have proof of the whole conversation through texting.I would not recommend them at all for a special occasion.Thank goodness her venue came through for us.

Used Home Style Bakery for my wedding cake, mini desserts, and apple cider donuts. Everything was delicious and arrived according the plan. Would highly recommend the cider donuts for a fall wedding!!

The taste and quality of their desserts is great, but (especially in the age of social media) they need work in terms of design!

Our strawberry & cannoli vanilla wedding cake was absolutely delicious. Received numerous compliments from guests. The cake design was beautiful, and the bakery was able to accurately replicate the design we sent from Pinterest. Prices were very reasonable, and the cake tasting was free, which is contrary to the policies of many other bakeries we explored. Overall, we highly recommend this bakery for your wedding cake. You will not be disappointed!

Homestyle is honestly the best bakery in the Hudson Valley! Not only did they do our wedding cake, but we get all of our cakes there ! Now I just reached out to them to do my daughters sweet 16 cake! All of my guests have complimented by wedding cake and was impressed by the restaurant style quality of the cake.

We had to choose a cake for our wedding and my wife and I were surprised by how good the cake samples were and how hard it was to choose one for our wedding. We ended up going with carrot cake not just because it is different but it was delicious.

Our cake was part of our wedding package from our venue (Hollow Brook). The tasting was very easy- just call and pick up a sample of cakes. I simply emailed the bakery with our choice and then followed up with our guest count. It was very easy since our venue then coordinates getting the cake for the day of. The cake was delicious and looked beautiful.

My fiancé and I have been avid fans of Homestyle for years. When we found out that our wedding caterers worked exclusively with them we were thrilled. As not the biggest cake fans, we decided to do a variety dessert station at our wedding. Julie was easy to work with and helped us create a great selection of items. We intended to have leftover desserts as favors.... however the only items left were a handful of cupcakes. Everything here is top notch and can't recommend enough!

Homestyle was the original vendor for Glen Island Harbour Club. We decided to keep them versus their newer cake vendor that had zero customizing ability. The ordering process with Homestyle was easy and they followed instructions on the color change we wanted to a cake design. Cake was delicious!

We worked with Homestyle Desserts Bakery through Hollow Brook Golf Club for our wedding cake. The team at Homestyle was wonderful and easy to work with! Our cake tasting was easy, not to mention delicious! We went with the Double Temptation Chocolate and it was AMAZING!

YUM! I'm still dreaming about our wedding cake - strawberry double temptation. Our cake not only tasted great, but it looked amazing. We caught several guests trying to steal other's slices - which speaks for itself! Absolutely delicious.

Homestyle Desserts is an incredible bakery! We chose the strawberries and cream with custard as the flavor! It was beyond delicious, all of our guests loved it!! They were incredibly communicative throughout the entire process - I sent their team the idea for the cake design and delivered the Italian ruscus greenery a couple of days before our big event! They kept the ruscus fresh and as you can see turned our inspiration into reality! Just beautiful!!! Thank you so much to everyone at the bakery that made our wedding cake so delicious and beautiful! My husband and I have also tried some of their other treats! I am a huge fan of their cannolis and cookie dough cookie tacos! Will absolutely be visiting again soon for more!!!

I used this bakery for my wedding cake and it was delicious, one thing my husband and I really wanted was good food and great tasting cake and they went above and beyond with the flavor. they’re missing one star because of the up-and-down I had with ordering, I think they need a better system but then again it is Covid.

Absolutely delicious! Our cake was beautiful and yummy. We were eating leftovers for a week! They also made cider donuts for us as favors and everyone keeps raving about them. Weeks later we’re still being asked where we got them.

WOW!! Our cake was included through Homestyle Desserts Bakery in our wedding package at The DoubleTree Hilton in Tarrytown, NY - and we were absolutely blown away by it!!! We had chosen a tree design with realistic bark and that is exactly what we got!! We didn't even want to cut it it was so beautiful! Thank you a million times over for giving us the most beautiful and unique cake!

The cake tasting was very fun and the cake was perfect and delicious. There were thousands of options to choose from and they did not disappoint.

My family has used Homestyle for many occasions in the past, so they were the only place I even considered ordering our wedding cake from. I met with the owner, Rose, and she had no problem creating exactly what I wanted (Only wanted a small wedding cake, with a sheet cake to serve our guests delivered to the kitchen), and decorated it perfectly with the flowers and cake topper I provided her with. Not to mention, she suggested an awesome flavor combination, and all our guests loved it. I'll always recommend Homestyle!

I don't even know what to say. Our cake was absolutely perfect. From the tasting to the day of it was great working with Homestyle Desserts in Peekskill. Marissa brought our wedding cake vision to life. They took my dairy free requests very seriously and made me two delicious layers of chocolate and vanilla cake with dairy free Nutella filling. t The other two layer for our guests and my groom was chocolate mousse and cheesecake which everyone loved. The cookie trays were delicious as well. I just wish the trays had been fancier. I plan on going to Homestyle soon and getting a replica of the nutella tier so I can really enjoy it.

We are so happy that we chose Homestyle to do our wedding cake. We sat down with them and they provided a range of cakes to taste from carrot cake to their famous "crowd pleaser." All of them were delicious, fresh, and well crafted. We went with their yellow cake with cannoli filling and we were blown away. We went with a simple ribboned, tiered cake with buttercream frosting with each layer rimmed with a gold ribbon. We would not change a single thing. We were told by several guests that it was one of the best cakes they have had at a wedding. We ate so much of it at the wedding and even more the next day! Now let's see how it tastes in a year when we take the top layer out of the freezer. Cannot recommend enough!

We have always used Homestyle, from our Engagement party cake to our Wedding cake. All of their desserts are absolutely delicious! Our wedding cake was absolutely perfect!!

We used this bakery as it came with our venue. The cake they made was beautiful and delicious. I would've given 4 stars, but was unhappy with our cake tasting process. I called and made an appointment over a month in advance as we were planning from out of town. I even emailed to confirm the appointment and the response was that we were on the books. However, when we showed up that morning the staff didn't know and weren't prepared. They checked the calendar and saw my appointment so they made it work, but at first we were made to feel like an inconvenience. I would definitely recommend the actual cake, but just make sure to triple check they're ready for you!

My family uses Homestyle for everything and we always have the best desserts! My wedding cake was no different, people are still talking about how delicious it was!!!!

We worked with Homestyle Bakery for our wedding just under two weeks ago and I still have people telling me how delicious our cake was. We had a 4 tier wedding cake with floral fondant and a strawberry & custard core. The turnout was a beautiful, elegant wedding cake. My husband, who is from Texas, also wanted to have his own grooms cake and Homestyle made it happen. Both cakes were awesome!

Our red velvet cake was delicious. Though our initial cake design was no longer an option, the cake Homestyle Bakery provided for us was even better! Their red velvet recipe changed, and so a white frosting was no longer an option without worry of a bleed-through. They called us the week before our wedding to work out a new plan, and our “naked” style cake came out so wonderful. It was DELICIOUS. I didn’t get to eat much of the food at my wedding, but you can bet I ate every last bite of my red velvet cake with “better cream” instead of cheesecake frosting. It was the best thing on the menu. Highly recommend!!

While the cake was very tasty the bakery did not follow what I requested as far as style. I specifically sent a picture and gave details on how I wanted my cake to look which they ignored. This is EXTREMELY frustrating. You are being paid to follow instruction and when you fail to do so that speaks volumes to how you run your business.

The only reason I'm not giving them 5 stars is because I didn't get an elaborate wedding cake, so I'm not sure how they would do that - although have no reason to think they wouldn't be great. What I do know though is: someone I know recommended them to me, we actually switched to use them last minute, the cake was beautiful (4 tiers) & delicious. They accommodated us (with some attitude, but whatev) & delivered as promised. If you are looking for an affordable cake (but still pretty & tasty), look no further.

What a great job Homestyle did on our wedding cake. I made the fondant decorations for the cake, but the bakery handled the rest. The cake was exactly what we envisioned. Gorgeous job!

Our venue referred us to Homestyle and we so glad! We met with Catherine and Julie and they had us taste several delicious cakes. It was hard to choose but we went with the People Pleaser- it stays true to it's name! The textured look of the icing came out just the way we described it and our guests commented on how delicious the cake was!!

I was there on Saturday with my fiancé for a cake tasting and had the worst experience ever. We arrived 10 mins early and after waiting 5 mins for anyone to a knowledge us, there was 6 staff there just walking around and on cell phones , the staff member was all frantic bc we were "too early" and the woman who does their cake testing wasn't there yet. We were then walked to the back to look at designs which was fine but again staff was frantic and acted like we were a burden. The woman who did our cake tasting finally arrived and upon walking in through a back door let in a dog , that I guess was someone from the shops, and it began to jump on my fiancé. After 5 mins we finally got some assistance in getting the dog off my fiancé and outside. The woman who was working with us I can't even tell you here name because she didn't introduce herself was rude. We explained that we didn't want a traditional design and rejected the few ideas we had without a true explanation. A man who I guess worked there then went to the back door to talk to someone and stood in the doorway with the door open which again let the dog back inside and jumped back up on my fiancé. Instead of helping the woman we were working with yelled to the man who opened the door who also didn't help but instead was telling my fiancé for another 5 mins about how much the dog liked him. We finally got back to the cakes but I couldn't focus on ideas bc the young boy that was in the shop was screaming and yelling at the woman helping us who was yelling back at him. When I reminded the woman that I was gluten free she gave me the dirtiest look and told me they only offer gf cheesecake and then asked me what gluten was. I explained that we were told by our venue that they offered more gf options then just cheese cake and that I did not like cheesecake nor want it at my wedding was not listened too and offered 4 different cheese cake options or some cookies. We then left stating that we will be talking to our venue and choosing another bakery. The woman got annoyed and didn't even say any apologies or anything just blamed the venue for lying to us. Hands down the worst experience I've ever encountered and would never recommend them. Customer service was terrible and other things.

We got our cake from Homestyle Desserts and we are so glad we did. They recreated exactly what we wanted from a picture we sent them, a simple cake with buttercream and fresh flowers, and it was perfection. The cake itself was so moist and flavorful, we were pretty bummed there was nothing left after the reception. We will definitely have to reorder a cake for our anniversary.

We had such a great experience at Homestyle. From the super easy tasting and design meeting, to the day the cake was delivered, everything was amazing. Our cake was EXACTLY what I wanted: simple, classic, beautiful and delicious!!!! Thank you so so much!

We absolutely loved our cannoli flavored naked cake. A four tier cake was part of our reception package at the Chalet on the Hudson, which is a partnership that makes sense because they both do deliciousness very well!! I am actually really glad that our package led us to Homestyle Desserts because I'm not sure we would have found them on our own! If you can, be sure to visit their absolutely delightful bakery in Peekskill - my (now)husband's mother didn't want to leave and enjoyed a bunch of their goodies that she purchased after our cake-tasting appointment. We highly recommend Homestyle :)

We are HEARTBROKEN that we forgot the top of our beautiful wedding cake before we left our venue because that cake was exquisite. Several guests commented that this was the BEST wedding cake they'd ever had. The team was great to work with and made selecting our flavors easy and fun and were so accommodating when it came to the custom design of our cake.

They did a great job of executing the design we wanted. It was beautiful and just what we wanted. The cake was tasty and what we ordered. Really pleased with how this turned out!

We had our wedding cake and our wedding favors made at Homestyle. Honestly, they could not have been any better. We chose a carrot cake, with cream cheese filling, and buttercream icing and OH MY GOD was it delicious! Even people who don't normally like carrot cake were so impressed. Equally as impressive were their apple cider donuts. We ordered them as favors and were a bit concerned with how they would hold up if people ate them the day after. Often cider donuts tend to get stale within 24 hours. Not these! We were eating them a full week later, and they were just as moist and delicious as the day we got them. We couldn't be more pleased- thank you Julie and team!

We had our wedding at the Thayer Hotel last month and the cake was through Homestyle Bakery. The design of the cake was absolutely stunning and identical to the pictures I had shown. The cake itself was delicious! So fresh and full of flavor. Our guests could not stop asking where we got our cake from. Thank you!

Homestyle Bakery made our wedding cake for our wedding at Ceola Manor earlier this month and it came out amazing! Our cake tasting was delicious a few months ago and they created the cake exactly how we wanted. I would absolutely recommend this bakery to anyone looking for a wedding cake!

We had our reception at the Cliff House at Bear Mountain which uses Homestyle Bakery as their cake vendor. We got a beautiful 3 tiered white cake covered in chocolate covered strawberries with chocolate and strawberries cascading down the top and sides. We went with a chocolate cake that had cheesecake and chocolate mousse filling. It was amazing!! My husband, myself and our guests loved it. We took a big piece home with us to freeze and I gave the rest to my mom for her church group meeting the next day which they LOVED!

We are so happy we chose Homestyle Desserts Bakery for our wedding. My husband and I chose cupcakes for our wedding with a small cake on top of the tower! The strawberry shortcake cake was absolutely delicious (we just finished off the last of it!) and the cupcakes were all devoured by our guests, who raved about the delicious flavor options. Homestyle Desserts Bakery was great to work with and definitely came through to make our wedding day sweet!

We had our wedding at Bear Mountain Inn in NY and Homestyle Desserts Bakery was their cake vendor. YOU HAVE NO IDEA how many people complimented us on the cake. We had a chocolate cake with chocolate fudge and the actual cake was white with black leaves. It was beautiful. Can I also say how easy it was to work with them? When we did our tasting, I asked what else they would need from us from then until the wedding - they said that we had enough to worry about and they would handle everything. Loved that, loved them, thank you! Definitely recommend. (Also, the other cakes we tried at the tasting were incredible, really liked the cannoli filling too).

Homestyle Desserts Bakery helped make dreams come true for my July 3 wedding in West Point, New York. The cake was included with my reception at The Thayer Hotel at West Point, and it was absolutely delicious! We tasted so many decadent favors, but decided on a vanilla cake with strawberry and vanilla custard filling. The design was gorgeous, and exactly what I wanted from Pinterest without any extra charge. Our guests are still raving about the cake - THANK YOU!

Our cake was included with our reception through the Ethan Allen Hotel. When we went to the bakery for our cake tasting, we were so happy and excited with how delicious the cake samples were. We had some specific requests for our cake design and they delivered! My husband and I are big on music and Disney, so they incorporated both. They were able to screen-print Frank Sinatra music for one of the layers, and they also put hidden Mickeys on the bottom layer within the design. It was so perfect! Our guests loved the cake. It was so good, we didn't want to freeze out top for our anniversary, so we just spent the last week eating the top :)

Everyone at the bakery was so nice and very professional. Never in a million years did we think we we should a wedding cake that we did, which was a cheese cake chocolate mouse yellow cake. Absolutely delicious. The entire wedding guest loved loved loved the cake.

My venue has a partnership with Homestyle and when I found out that's who they use I was thrilled! We went for our tasting and it was hard because there were so many good options!! We went with the vanilla cake with one layer of chocolate pudding filling, and one cannoli cream. Not only was it to die for, but the design was also beautiful and exactly what we'd imagined!

We used Homestyle for our wedding and we are so glad we did. They made the most beautiful cake we have EVER seen at a wedding. Not only was the cake perfect and well above our expectations, but it tasted so great too!! Our guests are still talking about the wedding cake and how gorgeous it was and how great it tasted! We can't say enough about them. They made a really great car shaped grooms cake and this tasted awesome too, and OH heaven, the cannoli dip and chips on the tables were sooo amazing!!! The owners take such pride and care into everything they do and it shows through in every single piece of dessert they make! We will always use them for now on!

I am not a huge fan of cake in general, but when I tried Homestyle desserts bakery - they CONVERTED ME!!! My fiance and I went to the tasting on a sunday morning, and there was a line out the door for their bakery goods. That was the first good sign that we chose the right bakery. The tasting was quick & easy. We looked through a book of cake designs and immediately fell in love with one of them. Rose then brought out a plate full of cakes for us to try... For someone like me who doesn't like cake I wasn't looking forward to this part... but to my pleasant surprise, I LOVED EVERY CAKE I TRIED... I loved it so much it was hard for us to pick which one!!! We ended up picking chocolate cake with chocolate moose filling AND vanilla cake with cannoli filling. It was the best of both worlds so everyone could have a flavor they enjoy. On our wedding day, the cake was exactly like the photo we picked - simply beautiful... and the taste was even better than i remember!!! All my guests loved our cake as well as the Italian cookies we placed at every table. I recommend this bakery for wedding cakes, for any baked goods, for BBQ deserts...for everything!!!... your mouth will thank you!!!

Homestyle Desserts provided the cake for our May 2015 wedding. It was beautiful and so delicious, and we received several compliments on our cake. I'd give it 5 stars, but the customer service was terrible--we waited 45 minutes past our appointment for cake tasting/design in the hot bakery with no waiting area, and had to call several times when we decided to add flowers to our cake because no one could find our order form. But despite that--they are worth it.

The overall look I think could have been better. But it was well executed and EVERYONE loved the taste.

I gave a photo of the wedding cake I wanted and it turned out even better. The cake presentation was perfect. The cake itself was amazing. I did not freeze the top of my cake because it was sooo good. We ate it the week after the wedding. Hands down the best wedding cake I ever tried. Cannoli and chocolate pudding together was perfect

We got married on August 16th, 2014 at The Chalet On The Hudson. Our Wedding Cake came from Homestyle Desserts Bakery in Peekskill where we live and it was absolutely delicious! We had prior experience with Homestyle as I had ordered my Grandmother's 90th Birthday Cake from there two years prior. For the Wedding Cake, we decided on the Strawberry Double Temptation which has two layers of sponge cake filled with cheesecake and strawberries topped with whipped cream. It was amazing! We received so many compliments on the cake afterwards. It was very nicely decorated in our colors of blue & purple; with ribbons and hydrangeas. The owner and staff at Homestyle are extremely nice and very helpful in helping you decide on decorating options. I would definitely recommend them for weddings, parties, specialty cakes, etc.

I should have known from the first phone call that this bakery was the wrong vendor for our cake. We used them because our reception venue package included them. In retrospect, it was the worst decision I made. When we went to the bakery for a tasting and to show the bakers what we wanted, the staff was hurried and short. Other staff members were arguing behind us in a way that made us feel uncomfortable. Nevertheless, having seen pictures and some few examples we thought that the cake itself would turn out fine. We were wrong. In fairness, the cake tasted great and was the right color and shape. It looked, however, as if someone inexperienced or in a tremendous hurry had made it. They used frosting instead of fondant, which might have been a part of the problem. But regardless, the result was simply sloppy. I honestly could not believe what I was looking at when I saw the cake. And the worst part is that it was a relatively simple tiered cake that was supposed to look like stacked hat boxes. We also asked for and paid separetely for a couple of sugar pieces, one of which we had seen in the bakery. The piece they gave us was nothing like the one in the shop. It was brittle and essentially melted halfway through the reception. There was no way to save or keep it. The other sugar piece was of the same sloppy quality as the cake itself and only loosely resembled the item it was supposed to represent. I realize that sometimes customers have unrealistic expectations or can write nasty reviews after a bad experience. I simply expected a cake that looked like a professional had made it and what I got was completely unacceptable. I would strongly recommend that you choose another vendor for your wedding cake. It is not worth the risk.

Homestyle was the wedding cake provider for our vendor. We chose the magnolia cake with lemon filling. It was yummy and we had several compliments from our guests. BUT - they are quite unprofessional. It's one thing for a bakery to be disorganized and bordering on rude, but for wedding service, they really need to step it up. If they hadn't been provided with our venue, I would NOT have chosen them.

From start to finish this place is the real deal. We had a concept for them to work with and it simply was amazing. Delicious, delicious, and great design. This is a must if you live in the area. Also, they have some good stuff on Sundays as for treats and other baked goods besides cakes. Try them!

My caterer gets the cake through them so I don't think I had any choice but to go with Homestyle Bakery. Two different people I spoke to at Homestyle were rude and not very helpful. I sent them pictures of what I wanted my cake to look like and received no response. So I called them to follow-up and when I spoke to someone over the phone I was told it shouldn't be a problem. My actual wedding cake did not look like the ones in the pictures. However, the cake was delicious. Not mind-blowing but delicious for a wedding cake. If you are dealing with this bakery for your wedding cake, keep in mind that they are NOT responsive with emails. Suggested way to deal with them is via phone.

They have a book full of gorgeous cakes, but I had my heart set on one I found online (http://www.lovethispic.com/uploaded_images/21713-Vanilla-Chocolate-Frosting-Wedding-Cake.jpg). They pulled it off beautifully! Half of it was iced in chocolate and the other half in vanilla. It had chocolate-dipped strawberries, and hard sugar blue flowers. They even added extra designs on the vanilla side. The cake was vanilla cake, chocolate mousse filling, chocolate cake, cannoli filling, and vanilla cake. It was absolutely delicious, and I received compliments from everyone! I would definitely recommend them to my friends!

RAVES...that's all i hear about our cake. 3 weeks ago was our wedding and still we are getting raves about our cake; the best cake they ever had at a wedding. We had a 4 tiered wedding cake. 2 tiers were Cheesecake with strawberry filling and Chocolate cake. the other 2 tiers were cheesecake with strawberry filling and red velvet cake.

The cake tasted delicious. It looked beautiful too. I'm giving 4 stars instead of 5 because the color was slightly off -- we requested red/burgundy sugar flowers and got more of a purple.

We are so in love with our wedding cake - we even took a slice of the cake topper already because we couldn't bear to hide it in the freezer for a whole year! It's THAT good! I have a feeling it's not going to make it into the freezer... When we went for our tasting, we had such a great time! It was actually Superbowl Sunday so we got to see all sorts of really cute and creative cakes and cookies that were geared toward football. It was great! When you walk in, you are slapped in the face with the smell of glorious and delicious baked goods. I have not stopped talking about the bakery since February, and now that our wedding is over and we got to have our cake, we will continue to talk about how awesome Homestyle Desserts is! Do not go anywhere else for your wedding cake!

Not only was the design of the cake beautiful but it tasted even better than it looked. I love cake so of course that was important to me that it tasted good not only looked good. I can say that this was exactly the case. I'm looking forward to eating it again next year LOL. Thank you Homestyle Bakery and thank you The View on the Hudson for the referral.

The cake came out amazing – just like the picture and everyone raved about how good it tasted. We also ordered assorted cookies for the tables. They were very reasonably priced and tasted great as well. I highly recommend this bakery.

Homestyle Desserts Bakery is one of the bakeries used by my venue Patriot Hills. My husband and I met with them, and had a very delicious food tasting. It was hard to choose a cake they were all so good. We ended up picking a vanilla cake with vanilla butter creme frosting with beautiful sugar flowers down the side and black satin ribbon around the base. We couldn't have been happier and our guests loved it.

I've mentioned in other reviews I am indecisive. But this is one of the only bakeries around and happens to be very good. I let my husband choose the cake flavor, he liked the chocolate mousse and cheesecake filling in chocolate cake. I was a little disappointed with the amount of choices (there were 5 I think, and very basic) but as a rare bride who actually got to eat a piece of her cake, it was very good. I had a Halloween/fall theme, and I didn't want all the traditional icing/flowers/fondant. I brought in orange ribbon and a bunch of little leaves and pumpkins, and it turned out really cool. I didn't see anything like what I wanted, but I am very happy with the way it turned out. The only thing was a little miscommuication with our cake toppers-they were small and they said they might now look right if they were too small. I brought them in, but they ended up displaye din front of the cake rather than on top. But it still looked great, and got a cute photo of our little zombie bride and groom in front of the cake.

I'm aware of Homestyle's reputation for cakes so I felt confident that our venue (Patriot Hills) gave us a great place to give us a great cake. The cake tasting visit was a bit awkward though due to the not-so-warm reception that we received as a prospective bride & groom to choose their cake. Service was lackluster to say the least. However we had some great choices on cakes and their fillings. We chose a chocolate cake with cheese cake filling and buttercream frosting with a simple design. Overall the end product was a beautiful cake and as delicious as we remember trying with continual positive reviews from our guests.

My husband and I met with the owner, Rose to discuss the design of our cake and the flavor. She was easy to work with and she brought our ideas to life. As a sprinkle lover, I told Rose that I wanted sprinkles on our wedding cake and she delivered. She designed the cake so that we would get what we wanted, yet the cake would still look elegant (and it did!) We also purchased our cake topper from there. It was simple and pretty; it looked like others I've seen online, just not as expensive.

My husband and I had a very creative idea for our wedding cake and Homestyle captured it perfectly! Our cake was devine and I am so pleased with how it came out!

Our cake price was included with our vendor (Cortlandt Colonial) but that didn't lessen the work or taste of the cake. We got a 4 tier vanilla cake with cannoli and strawberry filling. Of those that had the cake thought it tasted amazing. The decorations included with our vendor were piping and any icing (no fondant here!) of any color. Flowers were extra but we went with real flowers so it wasn't a big deal. The cake was gorgeous though and total fit with the photo we gave them. :)

We got our cake as part of the package through Bear Mountain and were a bit hesitant because overall we wanted out cake to taste amazing and didn't want a sheet cake. We visited Homestyle and they were unbelievably nice and had a line out the door of customers! Our cake was beautiful, they matched the flower colors to our wedding colors and it tasted fabulous. Definitely a must use, for a wedding cake or even as a bakery.

I'm a little biased since it was my wedding cake, but I couldn't be happier with how beautiful the cake looked and how delicious it was! The only reason I don't rate them 5 stars, is that customer service isn't what you would expect when picking out your wedding cake, but once you get past the gruffness of the staff, the cakes themselves are fantastic. So many of our guests have asked where the cake was from, and told us it was the first time they actually ate all the cake at a wedding! Overall we were very pleased at how it turned out.

We went for a nontraditional and got cupcakes instead of cake to serve our guests. We only did a traditional cake for the top to do the traditional cake cutting. The cupcakes were great and everyone loved them, my only disappointment is they did not deliver what we agreed on. The design I wanted on the top layer was not done I paid extra for square and they made it round. I was annoyed but nobody noticed except for me & my husband that it was not right. It looked and tasted great it's just not what we agreed on. Also the woman is very pushy, but the cakes are delicious.

I didn't actually go to the cake tasting because I was out of state but my parents went and when we had our cake on our wedding day it was so delicious. The flowers were beautifully made and the cake was sweet and moist. All the fillings were delicious. I wish I had more of it to eat. Also the venetian hour was amazing there were so many varities of desserts. This bakery was one of the 2 bakeries that our vendor used.

Homestyle did a wonderful job with my cake. My guest raved about how delicious it was and were impressed with the fillings (cheesecake and cannoli cream)! I couldn't have been any happier. It looked great and tasted great! Thank you Homestyle Desserts!

My guests were in awe of our wedding cake. I had at least 20-30 people tell me it was the best cake they ever had at a wedding and I can't help agreeing. I can't wait till my 1 year anniversary so we can have another slice! We drove up to the bakery and they gave us our options, which seemed limited. However they adjusted our selection so that we could include a bunch of their options in one cake and it was heavenly. The frosting they use, bettercream, is incredible and light and not too heavy. The filling was delicious. We did have a cherry blossom design added to our cake which I asked to be in peach. It came out more orange with a little peach. Slight disappointed because it didn't match our theme but when the cake is so good I don't mind one bit!

The cake was tastefully Great, the design was pretty but it was not my picked design for the cake. Apparently, the cake I chose was lost in translation due to a photo not being stapled to the order form by one of the employees taking and discussing the order. I was given the wrong design and the color scheme did not match. There seems to be alot of action there with customers bc the cakes and desserts are very tasty but there seems to be too many kids around in the back where staff is working and this is distracting for customers and myself when i was there talking wedding cake details. We had to keep stopping bc of a 4 year old being behind the counters playing around and things happening from her being behind the counter. DISTRACTION and not good Customer Service. Even though my cake was wrong and i have to look at the photos from my day to be a reminder of the mess up, I was given back my money by the manager.

My cake was beautiful and delicious! I got exacly what I asked for!

I requested a custom cake and was nervous about how it would come out, but it was AWESOME. We had a "both" cake, chocolate icing on one half and plain icing on the other. Even our DJ said it was the coolest wedding cake he had ever seen! And it was delicious. Our cake was included in the wedding package at The Thayer Hotel so awesome value as well.
