I had a fantastic experience at Honey Bridal! Everyone was kind and helpful, and made it such a fun experience to try on dresses and accessories. I loved how size-inclusive their sample gowns were, with many lovely and unique dresses to choose from. I appreciated their recommendations for alterations since they do not do their own alterations. Communication was clear and I received my dress within the anticipated timeline. I felt so beautiful in my dress! Highly recommend.
I found my wedding dress at Honey Bridal and the experience was amazing from start to finish. They helped my dress search with such care and attention to detail, and made me feel so special in the process. I found my perfect dress, and they even helped me customize it with the designer to make it that much more special. I looked and felt amazing on my wedding day, and I definitely have Honey to thank for that!
Honey was the best bridal dress experience I had in Chicago. I’m a plus sized bride and their extended sample offering + professional and kind staff allowed me to get the experience every bride deserves. The selection is curated well to offer a range of styles from sleek and modern to flowy and romantic. The rooms are private and lovely and communication both before and after your appointment is easy.
Everyone here was super helpful and made me feel comfortable while I was shopping. I’m obsessed with the dress I picked out and can’t wait to wear it on the big day!
I came to Honey for my first appointment and kept thinking about one dress I tried through my appointments at three other boutiques. I had the best experience here and had a feeling I’d be coming back! They have a wonderful selection of dresses, so it’s a great place to have your first appointment if you want to try different silhouettes, or if you already have an idea about what you want. I found all the dresses I tried to be exceptionally high-quality. The rooms are private and intimate, with curtains and a pedestal for a dramatic reveal in each dress while your party enjoys champagne/LaCroix. Samantha was my stylist and she is a total professional - listening, making me feel comfortable and confident, not pressuring me to make a decision, and being transparent when I wanted to try a certain dress that was out of my budget. I ended up coming back twice - once with my best friend who is also a 2025 bride and again today for both of us to say yes to our dresses (and veils)! It was truly the most delightful, special experience and I highly recommend to any bride-to-be!
The professionalism was not what I had expected from the previous reviews. The owner was not polite and I decided to spend my money elsewhere. The customer service was horrible.
This is the place everyone should be buying their wedding dress! Prices are good, and the size range is phenomenal. I visited twice in the same weekend before purchasing my dress, and the women working at Honey were kind enough to let me come back with my large group of out-of-town guests who had come in to shop with me. As a plus-size bride I had a lot of anxiety about wedding dress shopping, but I never felt like I had limited options when I was shopping here, and they recommended an excellent tailor to do the alterations! The women who work in the shop do an excellent job of making your visit feel special, but also kept it very low-key which suited me really well. I can't recommend this shop highly enough to anyone looking for a wedding dress!
Folks, this is the holy grail. You need to come here. I don't even have the words to describe what an incredible experience I had at Honey, but I'll start by saying his place is just cool. Sister-owned, a focus on sustainable independent designers, super intentional inventory - founders Hallie & Dana have created a gem within the bridal-wear world. But even though I was in love with Honey's vibe (and inclusivity, hello extended sample sizes!) when I booked, I didn't think I would find my dress here. I thought I wanted lots and lots of sparkle and appliqués etc etc and I could tell from Instagram that their collection was generally a little cleaner. Didn't matter one bit.
Stylist Samantha was a total dream. I realized a couple minutes in that she had actually read all the gibberish in my inquiry form, most of which I didn't even remember. She then continuously referenced it throughout the appointment. She described how she thought to pull X dress because I mentioned this wedding vibe, and was so looking forward to showing me Y dress because of this niche aesthetic detail. She was so thoughtful that it actually reminded me what I originally wanted to feel like in THE dress, way back before I got into the thick of shopping. She pulled all these little elements together to show a customized version of my favorite and when I looked in the mirror, I instantly burst into tears. I didn't think that would happen at ALL, and I know it was because Samantha made me feel really, really understood. It was the best, and I am SO over the moon to be a Honey Bride :) Now, go book an appointment!!!
As a plus size woman finding a wedding dress seemed like the biggest challenge I would have to place. I went to numerous locations feeling like nothing was maid for my body and that I was being clipped into extra fabric to give me the slightest view of how it would look not feeling like you should in a wedding dress! Honey bridal was one of the only places I fit into the dress for the initial visit. They were easy to work with and so comforting! They were the last on my list and I found the most amazing gown through them! They were helpful along the whole way and even had great accessories to choose from making it a one stop shop for my complete look!
I absolutely cannot say enough good things about Honey Bridal. I stumbled upon them when I found Truvelle (a Vancouver based designer) and was very excited when I found that they were carried at Honey. I was lucky enough to have my appointment the day they opened their new location and 1) it was stunning and 2) I cannot believe how put together and well run they were for it being day 1 in the new store. Now for the appointment, I was dreading the wedding dress shopping experience. I am very non-traditional and hate being the center of attention. I also found wedding dresses I tried on at other stores to be continuously very heavy and foreign feeling on my body. Hallie knew exactly what she was doing, she read my mind and knew the dresses and silhouettes that would work well with my style and body. The dresses at Honey are unlike anything you will see at any other salon, the materials used are SO comfortable and lightweight. Instead of feeling lucky to like one dress, I loved several I put on (never did I anticipate that feeling). Needless to say, I found my wedding dress here and suggest them to anyone and everyone. Everyone in my group could not stop talking about how fantastic the experience was either, did I mention you get the entire store to yourself for your appointment? You will not regret coming here.
I loved Honey Bridal and I was so in love with my Tara Latour wedding dress. Honey Bridal was a great experience and not cheesy like so many other bridal salons I went to. Their dress options were unique and I felt like the bride I wanted to be without looking like every other bride I had seen.
I found my dress at Honey in January 2020. And I unfortunately had to postpone my big wedding celebration, but fortunately still got married with immediate family and celebrated with the full guest list a year later - allowing me to wear my beautiful dress TWICE! Honey was such a cozy, personal experience. I was confident in my dress, loved the styles they presented, and was excited to wear it more than the typical "one time". When I visited Honey, the entire salon was closed for me and my experience. Again, very personalized and intimate, which is critical when making such a big decision as what you'll wear on your wedding day.
The staff at Honey were so wonderful - I loved how personal the experience was from start to finish. They have a great selection of dresses that you won't find elsewhere in Chicago - definitely make a stop at Honey for your wedding dress shopping.
Amazing staff & store. The entire shop is yours when you make an appointment and they really make you feel at home - will definitely be back for the Truvelle gowns! Would recommend to any friends or family in search of the perfect gown.
I absolutely loved my experience at Honey Bridal! They have such a gorgeous curated selection of dresses from female designers. I loved that they had a small thoughtful collection of dresses and loved almost everyone that I tried on. The selection of dresses is ever changing and the prices were very affordable, especially for boutique custom styles. Their store in Andersonville is so cute, and my stylist, Meredith, was a joy to work with and made me feel so comfortable. Would absolutely recommend Honey Bridal to anyone looking for a wedding gown!
Absolutely LOVED this shop and the selection. Would highly recommend. The stylist/owner was so helpful and patient. Will DEFINITELY be shopping at their sister store, Milk!
Honey was exceptional at making me feel like a bride. Full transparency - the dress was one of the least exciting elements of wedding planning, and Honey changed my mind. Honey Bridal was the last boutique I went to for dresses, and they closed the store, so our visit was 100% private and catered to me. They knew my name (which not every salon did, as they were bringing people in and pushing them out), and they knew my mom and sister's names! I felt relaxed, I felt cared for, and I felt excited to be a bride. The dress selection at Honey was incredible. Whimsical, a bit bohemian and modern, but LIGHT. The fabric was breathable and extremely cost effective compared to other places I visited. Honey was accommodating and creative in mixing different tops with different bottoms. I ultimately built a custom Truvelle dress with the help of Heather at Honey. The customer service didn't stop after the visit and ordering of the dress. Until I picked up and approved my final product, Honey owners were contacting me to keep me updated on dress progress, to keep me excited along the way.
Truly wonderful experience and unique, quality dresses! I’ve had three appointments at Honey Bridal, two to shop for dresses and one to pick up and try on my purchased dress. I love the comfort and intimacy of being the only one in the shop at the time of my appointments. Honey staff Heather and Meredith were so helpful, honest, and supportive along the way. Not only is the shopping experience one of a kind, but the dresses they sell are modern and unique and come from independent designers. I was able to customize my dress with ease and am thrilled with the final product. Having shopped at other bridal stores in Chicago, I wholeheartedly recommend Honey Bridal!
I did not buy my dress here but had an INCREDIBLE experience. The store is beautiful, clean, in an excellent location and I could not say more great things about the team working there.
I did not get my dress here but wanted to leave a review. This was BY FAR the best bridal experience I had! The owner asked my musical taste ahead of time and had my favorite tunes playing when we got there. It was just us and she offered my party whisky, champagne or beer. Love it! It was a really lovely time that put me at ease and made me feel special. I ended up going with a different dress but this experience was by far the best.
I absolutely adore these ladies! I decided to book at their shop because it was important to me to support a local business and independent designers. I also wanted a store that had inclusive values. I had such a wonderful experience finding my dress! They close down the whole store and give you their undivided attention. It is the type of experience every bride deserves.
Later on, I had a self-inflicted drama but Hallie and Dana came to the rescue judgement free and supportive. They worked to get my prefect dress in time for my wedding!
When Honey opened, I went to their opening party more than a year out from my wedding, I immediately knew I was going to find my dress there, and in fact I did (that night, and 5 months later when I went for my official appointment). It was the first of 2 stops in our dress hunting, and I knew I wasn't going to find "the one" anywhere else. Their selection is impeccable, and Dana made myself and my gaggle of maids, moms, & sisters feel so comfortable. I picked an elegant, yet 70s inspired jumpsuit (saving it for last to try on), and immediately knew it was IT. The whole process with Honey was a delight, from the try on to the pick up, to further appointments to look for jewelry/accessories. Dana went out of her way to make sure I was happy and taken care of through the entire process, and after my wedding even sent me a very, very thoughtful map of the night sky the night of our wedding, that I still can't get over. I would suggest making Honey your first and only stop, love these gals.
Where do I even start? I am just so grateful to have found Honey Bridal. The only part of my wedding process that seemed stressful was finding the right wedding dress. I went to countless stores on Oak Street and the whole thing just felt forced. I felt like I was in dresses I had seen on a million other girls and was clamped into dresses and expected to see how perfectly they would fit even though they were ten sizes too big.
From the minute I booked my appt I had a good feeling about Honey. My hairdresser recommended them to me after she heard I was having a tough time.
Honey made the whole experience feel so personal. Asking me my music preference even before I got to the store. Putting my name on a board for when I arrived. I also loved that I had the whole store to myself.
The team was so lovely and personable. From the minute I entered the space I said I wasn't leaving without buying a dress. I also loved that they only carried independent designers and that their prices were extremely reasonable.
Net. Net. Everyone go to Honey. They are the best. I have already sent multiple friends here :)
Honey Bridal, and Hallie the owner, are absolutely fantastic! I found my dress and accessories here, and couldn't have been happier. Hallie is patient, easy to work with and her store is delightful. It's a completely private shopping experience. You have the whole store to yourself for 90 minutes, as well as Hallie's undivided attention. The dresses are beautiful and unique, as are the accessories. Best of all, the price ranges are very reasonable. If you are looking for a personalized and wonderful shopping experience, you must go to Honey.
I went to literally nine bridal boutiques while I was looking for a dress because I could not find the look that I was hoping for. I wanted something cool – I didn’t want a traditional ball gown. Of the nine bridal boutiques that I went to, Honey Bridal is the only boutique that understood what I wanted. The ladies who own the boutique have amazing taste and an eye for bridal trends that go beyond traditional styles. During your shopping experience, they are beyond sweet, knowledgeable and helpful. The store itself is beautiful and intimate. The experience of shopping within it is lovely. The dresses that honey carries are gorgeous, unique and cool. I ended up with a very bohemian Elizabeth Dye dress – and honestly, if Honey Bridal didn’t exist, I have no idea where I would have ended up buying a dress, because none of the other stores I visited even came close. Go look for a dress at Honey Bridal!!!
I absolutely love Honey Bridal. I got a custom outfit made but went to Honey for accessories. I found the perfect belt which absolutely completed my look. They have beautiful non-traditional dresses and accessories. Not only was the team there adorable with the custom sign during your appointment but they were so accommodating to fitting me in for an accessories appointment a week before my wedding. I found the perfect belt which absolutely completed my look. Thank you Honey Bridal for giving us non-traditional girls a place to find amazing bridal pieces!!
I cannot recommend Honey enough! I was nervous to try on wedding dresses before my appointment, and I felt so at ease from the minute I set foot in Honey! They made me feel welcome by displaying a cute sign with my name, playing my favorite music, and handing me a glass of prosecco right away. We had the salon to ourselves to look through the amazing and unique collection of dresses. There is a wide range of styles of dresses that are all truly gorgeous! I was able to try things on without feeling any pressure to commit right away, so I could get a sense of what looked good on me and what I really wanted. I ended up buying the first dress I tried on and I could not be more pleased with it! I could not have asked for a better wedding dress shopping experience!
Honey is incredible! They offer a wonderful selections and Dana was so helpful and sweet. She never turned on any sales pressure, just made us feel very comfortable and relaxed. The most incredible part was though that I scheduled a follow-up appointment online on a Saturday night when the shop was closed. Minutes after I made the appointment, Dana called me to update me on the dresses I liked and helped me schedule an appointment around when the dress was available . Truly above and beyond! You are missing out if you don't make an appointment at Honey Bridal.
