e was able to stand, when she could shoot, and what to capture for us. She did a great job communicating with us throughout the entire process and we have her photos hanging up around our house and always look to them with great joy. Somehow she captured moments of us dancing and we never even noticed she was there. She captured special moments from the ceremony that we will always hold dear in our hearts. She captured everything perfectly and went above and beyond to make us feel like the stars of the show. So much so that we recommended her to our friends for a wedding this year. This is the part 2 of the review. I saw the negative review of her and I must say that it is very surprising to see a guest bother to leave a review on a photographer that was not there for them. I also had a Catholic wedding and she was VERY respectful of the moments she was supposed to be and captured very intimate moments that we will be able to relive for the rest of our lives. I highly disagree with everything the guest said in her review. She was doing her job and I was sitting in the back watching the whole thing and never once did I think she was distracting or acting like an airline traffic director. I had the pleasure of seeing some of the photos she did capture and they came out amazing. What I find very disturbing is that the guest who left the review seems to misplace her proper place in the review. Brooke is not there for her. Brooke is not there to cater to her needs. Brooke is not there to make sure the guests are enjoying everything without obstruction. Brooke had specific instructions and directions from the Bride and Groom and she executed it with perfection. It will be something the couple will remember for the rest of their lives and there is absolutely no way that her work took anything away from the ceremony. It was a gorgeous ceremony and I enjoyed every single moment of it. I heard zero complaints from any of the family members nor the guests that we were sitting with during the ceremony or afterwards at the dinner. Ironic that the couple has yet to leave a negative review, but a guest did. So to whomever ends up reading these reviews, please remember that the photographer is there to cater to YOUR needs, NOT your guests needs; and to that point, Brooke does AN AMAZING job. She was perfect for us, perfect for our friends (you can take that with a grain of salt since it is hearsay, but hey if "Sally G" can talk in parenthesis, I figure I must include one too so I am not left out), and I will continue to recommend her and I'm sure Emily and Michael will as well. Our family had no complaints about her, loved her photos, and I will be recommending her for future events for our family. I am sure I speak on behalf of many of her clients that they would highly recommend Brooke as well. Honey Gem is extremely professional and I would not be here to defend Brooke and her work if I did not think it was not warranted or if that 2-star review was blasphemous. (I had to throw a religious reference in there.)

rch. This was distracting, but understandable. However, what was unacceptable was her behavior during the vow exchange. Brooke and the videographer positioned themselves in the center isle, about midway down and started what looked like a discussion about their placement. It looked to me like they were trying to figure out who was going where when the bride and groom walked down the aisle. I was far enough away that I could not hear what they were saying, but the large hand gestures and body movements, were over-the-top. Brooke looked like she was an aircraft marshal on a tarmac (you know, the folks that guide airplanes down the runway). All she needed was yellow vest and orange flashlights. It was hugely distracting to all the guest sitting behind them. All this lasted nearly the entire time the vows were exchanged. If the solemnity of your wedding ceremony is important to you, my recommendation is that you explain this to the photographer. I imagine this is especially important to brides and grooms that have a religious ceremony.

dy ordered prints from our engagement shoot and framed them before we arrive. :D <3 The wedding bridals and wedding day photos were even more amazing. We keep finding ourselves reliving every moment of it. I can't recommend Brooke/Honey Gem more highly. She is so great at capturing my our love.
