These folks are super talented musicians -- not your average wedding cover band! The music blew us away and perfectly set the mood. They're also incredibly responsive, responsible, organized, and a total pleasure to work with. Highly recommend!

Justin and Maren are the absolute best performers and DJs you could ask for! They made my wedding a total success and were so kind/easy to work with along the way. The guests absolutely loved them! I don't have enough nice things to say about them - hands down hire them for your wedding or event!!

I discovered Honey of the Heart through Maren & Justin's weekly Kitchen Jam livestreams (with their lil daughter Joonie joining in from her high chair) conveyed through social media since the beginning of the pandemic. I had first known of them broadcasting from their kitchen, improvising with all kinds of instruments including what was at hand, like salt shakers or even scraping toast as percussion. They stopped me in my tracks. Who were these amazing people? They and their music were brilliant. And continue to be. That soulful voice of Maren - Justin too - and both their endless proficiency on all kinds of musical instruments is a wonder. Regarding the Kitchen Jams, for now they are still a beautiful part of the week. I found their recorded albums to download. Discovering their albums was an epiphany too. Since these initial kitchen jams, they have done several livestream concerts from their home, and other venues for good causes. Their music and spirit are so incredible and have been an important part of this challenging last year. I realize I discovered them a little later after they had started their music career. I love to follow them now and to see their continuous unfolding artistry. It is hard to encapsulate in words all they embody, but for sure they tap in with the deepest history, presence, and future of world music and these changing times. I would definitely have them at the top of my list for any live event (and hope to someday)!

This duo is extremely talented and their music is straight from the heart. Not to mention that Maren is an absolutely fantastic singer. This is really the perfect musical ensemble for a wedding. They embody so much love.

The intimacy of the band and sound of their music was ideal to celebrate our union with the small group of friends and family present. What lovely and talented musicians! Honey of the Heart provided an amazing turnkey solution for our wedding music and sound needs. I worked with Justin in planning the music and sound for the wedding and he was great to deal with--professional and responsive at all times. On our wedding day all of the sound systems worked flawlessly and the live music, including their original work, a song they learned just for our first dance and even a few Klezmer tunes, exceeded our high expectations.
