Honey Rose Photo

Weddings are high stress and overstimulating, but she took the time to make sure I was comfortable and enjoying the moments she was capturing on film. Can not recommend highly enough!

eeling of ease and comfort while taking photos that results in beautiful candid moments. Her documentary-style of capturing the day and moody editing make for the dreamiest, most special photos. She documented our wedding thoroughly and beautifully, capturing all the details and moments we missed or didn’t notice that day. We loved working with Shawna and cannot recommend her highly enough!

our fun elopement trip. Could rave and put her up more.

back & easy-going person, but I knew choosing a photographer was possibly the single most important decision we would make along our wedding planning process. I actually ended up finding Shawna through the venue we loved, saw some of her work there, and immediately knew she was the one. We chatted on the phone and hit it off right away!! We decided to go with her highest package for our wedding as it is an incredible deal for the level of professional she is. The Emerson package (I believe it was called) included engagement pictures as well, so we got to spend time with her and meet her before our big day taking engagement pictures around Downtown Dallas!! The pictures turned out better than I could have ever hoped. People ask me all the time who my photographer is and say that her style is so unique and eccentric and beautiful, and I certainly agree. On our wedding day, Shawna felt more like a part of our wedding party than a vendor or photographer. She communicated with our wild bunch like a pro, kept us on schedule, and captured every moment I could have hoped for and more. I usually feel awkward in front of a camera, but Shawna brought out the most photogenic and spunky versions of ourselves that day. The hardest part about booking with Shawna of Honey Rose Photo, is deciding which pictures to have printed, framed, and made into a book - they are truly all amazing. Thank you so much!

to give the wedding photo part a second thought once we chose to book her. She took care of everything. She made us feel comfortable and truly captured every perfect moment. She is an incredible photographer, and a beautiful person.

e and beyond to make sure that everything went smoothly 🤍

worked with me on capturing my moody jewel tones for my October wedding perfectly! I also wanted to highlight my venue because of its history and character. Shawna took the time to know the moments I really wanted captured but she also got the candid moments that were such a pleasure to see when I got the full gallery! We also did our engagement session with her and she put us at ease. She is talented, warm, and has an amazing eye! I’m so glad I invested in her and her photos are my biggest treasure from that day.

na was 100% that person. As soon as I saw her work I knew she was the photographer for me. Our photos are absolutely gorgeous & capture the vibe of our day so well. Shawna was so fun to work with & made this very camera shy girl feel super comfy in front of the lens. I usually hate any photo taken of me, but I love my wedding pics so much. 1000/10 would recommend!!!

ok with, share ideas, and very accommodating the day of our event. I highly recommend her services if you want your day captured by a highly qualified and talented photographer!!

ere at once to capture moments of my wedding I didn't even get to see myself. I'm beyond happy with the gallery that was delivered. From initial quote inquiries until way after the big day she kept communication open, was extremely responsive and helped in ways I wasn't even expecting. She was by far one of the best vendors I had to interact with during the course of wedding planning.

ou’re looking for a photographer!

imeline so we could coordinate the day. if I got married again (touch wood😝) I would use her all over again!

d. Her associates have a similar eye to her and she edits all the photos in her style still. I had two separate days I needed photographed and she was able to accommodate that easily! Her associates were wonderful, sweet, and ready to take any shots we wanted. The overall experience was great and I am so incredibly happy with the photos I got of my special days. I highly recommend Shawna or her associates to photograph your wedding if this is the style you want!

. On the day of, she was perfectly accommodating and fun to shoot with! It was our first time getting our photos professionally taken and she made the time go by in a breeze. She knew exactly how to get us moving and feeling good, so there was almost no room at all to feel awkward, it just felt natural! Our gallery turned out AMAZING and everyone’s gushing at our photos (there were plenty of them). We will forever cherish these photos for the years to come! We’re still not sure of our wedding plans at the moment and our budgetary needs, but we won’t ever regret getting amazing photos to use forever. If anything, please invest in a great photographer that shares your enthusiasm and vision - you won’t regret choosing Shawna as your photographer!

was an absolute VIBE! She’s so kind, gives great directions if you’re kind of shy or not used to having your photo taken, affirms how absolutely stunning you are, incorporates lots of movement to get beautiful shots, captures gifs and polaroids and psychedelic looking photos with special lenses and even some Super 8 video footage. Look no further- Shawna is your girl!

very quick to address and questions, concerns, and edits without hesitation. I was worried that I was becoming that annoying bride... lol, but Shawna kept her cool all around the board. Even through some awkward wedding hiccups. She’s also very thorough on giving location suggestions, making you super comfortable by playing some of your favorite tunes during a shoot and is super QUICK at shooting because we were melting.. Half the time I was like “whoa that’s’ it?!”. And low and behold, the shots are gold. My digital photo album also had some film, and Polaroid shots!! Which I wasn’t expecting, and was pleasantly surprised! Really enjoyed seeing those different point of views, and she’ll send you your physical Polaroid in the mail. Forever a treasured keepsake!! Shawna you are such a blessing, I’m so glad I got to work with you! Thanks again for capturing our special day with confidence and ease. Book this gal y’all. You won’t regret it.

very impressive and I really appreciate how upfront she is about pricing and package options. Beyond her photography skills she’s also a super nice and cool person — everyone who interacted with her at our wedding loved her. She sent way more stunning preview pics than I had expected just two days after our wedding and was right on time with final gallery delivery. I can’t say enough good things about her!

it we will have displayed at our elegant/vintage themed wedding, and they are absolutely perfect! I could not have been happier. She made the entire session super comfortable for my fiancé and I who have never had our pictures taken before, it was such a great experience. She was even able to incorporate our little dog into some photos and we are so grateful for that! I highly recommend booking with her you will not regret it!

wedding, easy-going, fun to be around, and asked all the right questions. She constantly made sure my husband and I were well taken care of during the day, that we had eaten and had time to spend just the two of us. We haven’t even received all of our pictures back but the ones we have I will cherish forever. Shawna has a vision unlike any other, our pictures look straight out of a vintage photo album you find in your grandmas attic, the vibe is amazing and exactly what we were going for. But she’s also incredible at getting that modern wedding look that’s so popular now. Can’t recommend working with her enough, she truly made our wedding photo dreams come true, and worked with us and our budget to make sure we had the perfect day.

igure out logistics when our plans changed, providing inspiration and style guides for our photos, scouting locations, editing the extensive galleries with care for each photo, and providing day of help with things like holding onto our belongings and gathering people for our entrance and speeches. Our photos from our engagement and wedding bring a smile to my face every time I look at them (which is basically every day). We gave her a general idea of the vibe we wanted and she ran with it and infused her creativity and skill. Shawna perseveres the memories of your day in a way that is personal and true to you and your partner’s style and relationship. We couldn’t be happier that we managed to find such a wonderful person to be a part of our day.

edding event to the various activities on the day of (heyo pedicab ride - taking photos in motion!), she created a beautiful reminder for us to treasure complete with animated gifs, color + BW images, and all the small details my memory had faded since the wedding. Shawna is so talented and was super fun to be around, she captured us living our best life! We quickly received a few photos the day after for immediate posting, a sneak peek of 100+ photos within a few days, and the full gallery in less than 2 months! Book this woman!! She’s fabulous.

day with such a creative eye and documented every detail with such precision. Her response time is QUICK. A day or two after the wedding I had about 6 photos already edited and ready to share. About a week after the wedding she sent me an album of approximately 120 photos fully edited and ready to share; then assured me that I would have a lot more soon to come after. I was not expecting such a quick response! I've had many friends grow frustrated with how slow their photographers are to get their photos to them and I was blown away by how quickly I got a lot of mine back. I'm so thankful that I went with Honey Rose!

mmediately made us feel comfortable and provided tons of direction for ideas and poses. We can't wait to get the rest of our photos back because of how much life and vibrancy she captured in the sneak peeks :)

zing chance to meet in person as we booked the associate package but even so, in all of our phone calls, emails, texts, etc. I felt so cared for as the bride and felt so excited for our album. She is so rad and you should definitely book her!

in the world look like they belong on the cover of a magazine! Not only is she an incredibly talented photographer, she’s also the best hype-woman to have around on such a big day. She deserves all of the stars!!

capturing our love in a unique way. It is exactly everything I envisioned and so different ! Went so well with our boho vintage eclectic theme! Shawna is so cool and down to earth! :)

apher and we are so happy we did! We did an engagement session in our home along with the actual wedding event and now we have literally a thousand photos we absolutely love and will cherish. I had a specific image in mind for the mood of our photos for the reception, moody, emotion based, not posed at all, just lots of fun movement and dancing in twinkle lights, and Shawna and the 2nd photographer that she brought absolutely nailed it. There was a person with a cell phone out at our ceremony and Shawna very tastefully avoided them in the images so they is not visible in the most important shots, so I very much appreciate that. Just in general, Shawna's shot framing was super flattering and made my parent's home look amazing. My parents have called the photos the best ever of our family! Everyone looks like their best selves and I feel beautiful every time I go through the gallery! She also included some gifs of fun/important moments like the "you may kiss the bride" moment and during our send off driving off in a corvette- which we cherish since we chose to not hire a videographer. We're a couple that never takes photos of ourselves and are uncomfortable in front of a camera and Shawna really made us feel at ease and I'm shocked at how much my husband loosened up and was himself! All around amazing experience and I definitely recommend her services!!

prisingly quickly, and they are all wonderful. We love the animated gifs she included too. Shawna made us feel so comfortable and was great at giving direction. Thank you!

timing and put together a very helpful schedule. Beyond that she was really funny and friendly the day of which helped put my nerves at rest and make people feel comfortable around her as she snapped pics. Can't recommend her more!

y look back on our pictures and have gotten several printed. They are just amazing to look at over and over, every penny spent on Shawna is SO worth it, trust me. We had a pretty nightmarish wedding week (Winter Storm here in DFW Feb 15-20 week) and we were tossed hurdles we never predicted, on top of Covid. It was such a rough week but Shawna made sure to reach out to me multiple times that week, she promised me she would be there to capture our big day no matter what. It really made all the difference knowing I could trust we had at least one of our vendors (and a super important one at that) confirmed. We went from concerns over Covid, even for our micro-wedding (25 people total), to concerns over electricity, heating, and water for all our vendors and the ability to even leave our house due to such severe roadways. It was a WILD and STRESSFUL wedding week and it made Shawna's relaxing and quirky presence even more meaningful on Saturday. She did such incredible work you can't even tell we were ever anything but relaxed and in love in our pictures. She worked so well with my wedding planner and the intimate crowd of people we had gathered, it really made it simple to knock out the obligatory family pictures with plenty of time to spare for the fun and intimate couple photos we love the most. She comes SUPER prepared for ANYTHING day of (literally any emergency she came prepared for) and that also made me feel like I hired the right person because your photographer is so close to you throughout the day on such an important day he/she becomes your friend... but Shawna 100% is still fully aware it is a job to put her all into and she delivered. Definitely don't hesitate to hire her.

started talking I knew I made the right choice. Shawna is not only the most talented photographer I've had the pleasure of meeting, but she is also the coolest, sweetest, and most thoughtful person ever!!! From welcome gifts, to adorable wedding day gifs, everything she does is so personalized and special. I seriously can't picture our wedding without her, after only meeting her once I felt like I had known her for a lifetime. Trust me when I say, the best choice you can make for your wedding is hiring Honey Rose Photo!!

ever. I am so thankful that my husband and I had her on our big day. She made sure everything I wanted happened, and she can do that for you too. We recently received our gallery and it was over the top. She delivered more than I expected and I am in awe of the hard work she did for us. We are in love and we highly recommend using Honey Rose Photo as your vendor for any occasion!!!

fun and easy to work with! I felt like I knew her for years. She knew exactly what angles/spots to put us in to get the best shots - and everyone was raving about my photos when I shared them! She was prompt and arrived early, and worked with my budget! I can’t recommend her enough! I am SO happy we had to her to capture our day!!!

omfortable in front of a camera is astounding! I hate PDA but Shawna made it so easy to cozy up with my fiancé in public. I would highly recommend her if you want a fun + supportive presence and beautiful pictures!

got our pictures back so quickly and are OBSESSED with them all!

ng day pictures perfect, and I’m so happy I get to look back on such beautiful pictures to relive my special day! She sent out a questionnaire before my wedding asking exactly what I wanted and she definitely did not disappoint! Her personality and style really shows through her photos! I love every single one

great time! Shawna is such a sweetheart and it felt as if we’ve known her for years. The photos are so crisp and very detailed- I’m still in awe! I promise you will not be disappointed!!!

t dozens of different shots in the TX heat! She made our big day fun and elegant. She is personable and makes you feel like you're the star of your day!

commented on how lovely our photos turned out, and we can't wait to reach out to her for our 2022 wedding.

hotos of you that feel like you & that feel candid & sincere. Her prices are amazing, she got sneak peaks to us quickly, she was quick to respond & so helpful throughout the process. Can’t recommend her enough!

tle nervous for our engagement photos because I knew that my fiancé didn’t like his pictures being taken and I was nervous the photos would turned out looking too posed. Shawna made it SO easy to capture our photos. She has us laughing and truly just enjoying the entire experience. The photos turned out phenomenal! I will treasure these forever! If you’re looking for quality photos and an amazing experience honey rose photo is where it’s at!

nd had simple but great ideas that made for some unforgettable, creative photos. She made engagement photos fun and was easy to work and communicate with. Would definitely use again!

riend (now wedding photographer) scheduled to travel in from NYC to shoot my wedding. However, Coronavirus updates and restrictions forced changes for our day and we moved forward with a 9-person intimate ceremony without reception and my photographer was no longer able to travel. My friend/photographer had found Honey Rose and recommended her to me as she felt their artistic styles were consistent and her professionalism and enthusiasm were unmatched. Shawna was so kind and gracious to step in and agree to photograph on such short notice. We met at my venue, the afternoon of the wedding. the first time and I was met with kindness and enthusiasm. Shawna immediately stepped in and did her thing, she took photos of us getting ready, captured all the details, and managed to find out what was important to me to be captured. Shawna fit in and I was immediately relaxed and comforted with her there. Shawna was professional in working through all the requested photos and family combinations I had and even gave me sneak peeks through her viewfinder throughout the day. I have yet to see the photos, but know that they will be so special. I'd highly recommend Honey Rose - Shawna was a joy to have by my side for my big (small, but still important :)) day! Plus, she'll make you feel like a million bucks as a bride - just what any girl wants! Thank you, Honey Rose!
