Honey Strings, based in Kalamazoo, MI, brings breathtaking ceremony music to your wedding day — full, lush arrangements played live by a single violinist. Every package includes prelude music to welcome guests, custom processional arrangements (including any song you love for the bridal walk), and a joyful send-off after your first kiss. A full PA system and wireless mic are included for any additional audio needs, and I’m happy to stay and play for a cocktail hour as well. My specialty is string-quartet-style covers of popular songs across genres, similar to what you’d hear on the show Bridgerton. With hundreds of weddings under my belt, you can trust me to create beautiful setlist, or talk to me about specific songs you would like to hear. If you want music that creates real connection and makes your celebration unforgettable, I’d be honored to be part of your special day.

I have a Master's degree in music performance, and the span of genres for groups I currently play in includes Orchestral, String Quartet, Folk, Pop, Country, and Funk. I also do school and library visits and teach Ukulele classes at my local senior Center. I love music and what it can do to make people feel alive and connected! We shared this vision with Josh, and he thoughtfully proposed a list of songs for us to consider.   He took the time to talk through each option with us until we landed on the perfect choices. Josh then beautifully arranged versions of the songs that worked with his viola setup.   Our ceremony was truly the highlight of the entire wedding, in large part because of the warm, joyful atmosphere Josh created.
